Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of knowing differences in the mathematical literacy abilities of class VIII students of MTs Salafiyah Syafiiyah Bandung before and after applying the CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) learning model. The research method used is a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design and uses a quantitative research approach. The subjects of this study were class VIII D MTs Salafiyah Syafiiyah Jombang. The research instruments used were tests and non-tests. The test instruments were pretest and post-test description questions to measure students' mathematical literacy before and after implementing the CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Organizing, Learning) learning model. Reflecting, Extending). While the non-test instruments used were interviews with mathematics teachers in class VIII D to find out the implementation of learning carried out in class. The data analysis technique used was hypothesis testing. However, before testing the hypothesis, the data obtained first First, the normality test and homogeneity test were carried out. Based on the calculation of the paired sample t test, it shows that the t value is 13,818 with a significance of 0,000. The significance value shows 0.000 < error level of 0.05, so it can be concluded that Ha is accepted. Acceptance of this Ha means that there are differences in the level of mathematical literacy of class VIII students of MTs Salafiyah Syafiiyah Jombang before and after implementing the CORE learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the application of the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model and the improvement of self-confidence among eighth-grade students at SMPI Ar-Rahman Perak. The research method used is a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design and a quantitative research approach. The subjects of this study are the eighth-grade students at SMPI Ar-Rahman Perak. The research instruments used are tests and non-tests. The test instruments include pretest and posttest essay questions, as well as a self-confidence questionnaire to measure the students' self-confidence after the application of the Think Pair Share (TPS) model. The non-test instrument used is an interview with the mathematics teacher of the eighth grade at SMPI Ar-Rahman Perak to understand the implementation of the learning process in the classroom. The data analysis technique used is hypothesis testing. Before conducting hypothesis testing, the data obtained were first subjected to normality and homogeneity tests. Based on the calculation of the paired sample t-test, the significance value obtained is 0.003. This significance value indicates 0.003 < 0.05, thus it can be concluded that Ha is accepted. The acceptance of Ha means that there is a difference in the level of self-confidence among the eighth-grade students at SMPI Ar-Rahman Perak before and after the application of the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model.

Abstract

Learning difficulties can be interpreted as the inability of students to complete tasks from the teacher. In mathematics learning, difficulties in understanding the material have become commonplace, this is because mathematics is considered difficult by students. This study was conducted with the aim of determining the process and influence of creative thinking skills of class X students of SMK Kreatif Bahrul Ulum before and after implementing the discovery learning model. The research method used is pre-experimental design with a one-group post-test design type and using a quantitative approach. The research instruments used were tests and non-tests. The data analysis technique used was a hypothesis test. However, before conducting a hypothesis test, the data obtained was first tested for normality and homogeneity. Based on the calculation of the paired sample t-test, it showed that the t-count value was 19.453 with a significance of 0.000. The significance value showed 0.000 <error level of 0.05, so it can be concluded that Ha is accepted. The acceptance of Ha indicates that there is an increase in the creative thinking skills of class X students of SMK Kreatif Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas before and after implementing the discovery learning model.
