Abstract

The learning process based on learning interest is crucial in schools. Reward is one of the methods that teachers can use to enhance students' learning interest. Relevant and meaningful rewards can have a positive impact on students' learning interest. This study aims to determine the relationship between reward and learning interest among fourth-grade students at SDK Wae Belang. A quantitative approach with a correlational research design was employed. The population of this study consisted of all students at SDI Wae Belang (N=221), with a sample of 29 fourth-grade students. Data collection was done using a questionnaire after ensuring validity and reliability. Regression and simple linear correlation analyses were conducted in this study. The data analysis revealed a strong correlation (r = 0.897) between the X variable (reward) and the Y variable (learning interest). The simple linear regression equation was Y = a + bX = 12.219 + 0.763X, with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.805 and an adjusted R square value of 0.798 (79.8%). The correlation analysis demonstrated a positive relationship between reward and learning interest among fourth-grade students at SDI Wae Belang. Furthermore, based on the correlation test results, it was found that the calculated t-value (3.638) exceeded the critical t-value (2.051) at a significance level of 5% with N=29. Thus, it can be concluded that the provision of reward has a significant and positive relationship with the learning interest of fourth-grade students at SDK Wae Belang.

Abstract

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) plays a crucial role in the current educational context, and it must be introduced by teachers to their students. Teachers in this 4.0 era of Education need to adapt to this rapidly. The use of ICT in teaching helps explain challenging and abstract materials in a more tangible and contextual way. Additionally, it aims to overcome communication barriers between educators and learners. The objective of this research is to explore a deep understanding of the importance of ICT in the context of elementary school education. The research method used is a literature review based on the analysis and synthesis of information sources available in the literature or references that are relevant to this research topic. The research results explain that use of ICT as a learning tool in elementary schools has a positive impact on students' learning achievements and can stimulate their interest in learning. The use of ICT also enables more flexible and effective learning in improving the quality of education. However, there are challenges, including the lack of infrastructure and teacher readiness. Nevertheless, the use of ICT at the elementary school level holds great potential for enhancing the quality of education. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve access to the use of ICT in education.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi, khususnya smartphone, telah mengubah lanskap pendidikan secara signifikan. Aksesibilitas tinggi dan beragamnya aplikasi pembelajaran membuat smartphone menjadi alat belajar yang populer di kalangan siswa. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan smartphone yang tepat dapat meningkatkan motivasi, keterlibatan, dan prestasi belajar siswa. Namun, penggunaan yang berlebihan dapat berdampak negatif seperti gangguan konsentrasi dan penurunan prestasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara pemanfaatan smartphone sebagai sumber belajar dengan prestasi belajar siswa Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif-deskriptif, penelitian ini menganalisis hubungan antara penggunaan smartphone sebagai sumber belajar dengan prestasi belajar siswa kelas V di SDI Sita-Kaca, pengujian hipotesis memnggunakan Regresi Linear Sederhana. Sample dari penelitian ialah 21 orang Siswa Kelas V, dengan teknik Purposive Sampling. Penelitian yang dilakukan di SDI Sita-Kaca, Kecamatan Rana Mese, Kabupaten Manggarai Timur menunjukan bahwa adanya pengaruh signifikan dan positif, hal ini ditunjukan oleh nilai kofisien korelasi antara pemanfaatan Smartphone dengan prestasi belajar siswa sebesar 8,4% pada uji dua sisi dengan taraf signifikan 0,05. Nilai r = 0,289 adalah bernilai positif. Artinya semakin tinggi pemanfaatan Smartphone dalam proses belajar maka semakin tinggi pula hasil belajar siswa. Pemanfaatan Smartphone membawa pengaruh bagi prestasi belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pemanfaatan Smartphone terlibat aktif dalam kegiatan belajar dengan besar sumbangan 8,4%. Jadi ini dapat diartikan bahwa ada 91,6% faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa
