Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was a significant effect of the application of variable X in this case the Simarun educational game on variable y, namely students' ability to understand the material. This study adopted an experimental quantitative research design. This study was carried out in 3 stages, namely the pre-field stage in January 2022, the field work stage in April 2022 to May 2022 and the data analysis stage in June 2022. The sample in this study was class VIII B and VIII D totaling 54 students as representatives of the total population of class VIII students. The results of this study found that the average value of the experimental class or the class that implemented the simarun educational game was 6.52 while the control class that used ordinary learning media had an average value of 2.85 so it can be concluded that the average experimental value of 3.67 is greater than the control class, meaning that the increase in value after the implementation of the simarun educational game in the experimental class is greater than the control class and based on the calculation of the paired sample t-test using SPSS21, sig (2 tailed) = 0.00 means that it is less than 0.05, so it can be concluded that the data is significant or there is a significant difference in the increase in scores between the experimental class and the control class. This study has results that can be concluded, namely after the implementation of the simarun learning media in the experimental class or class VIII B, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the application of the simarun educational game on students' ability to understand PPKn material in class VIII of SMPN 11 Muaro Jambi

Abstract

Demonstrasi Omnibus Law yang berlangsung tahun 2020 yang diikuti oleh mahasiswa Universitas Jambi.Demonstrasi Omnibus Law yang terjadi tiga kali ini disebabkan pro dan kontra kebijakan pemerintah untuk membuat dan mengesahkan Omnibus Law khususnya pada pasal tentang undang-undang hak cipta yang dinilai merugikan masyarakat khususnya pekerja.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor pendorong mahasiswa Universitas Jambi dalam mengikuti demonstrasi Omnibus Law.Rancangan penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik analisis tematik”, “sedangkan informan ditentukan dengan metode purposive sampling, informan ditetapkan sebanyak 8 orang.Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi non partisipan, dokumentasi, dan wawancara.Berdasarkan analisis data dengan teknik analisis tematik, ditemukan beberapa faktor yang melatarbelakangi mahasiswa Universitas Jambi mengikuti demonstrasi Omnibus Law, faktor-faktor tersebut adalah emosi, keluhan, mempertahankan sistem ekonomi, sosial, dan politik, keterikatan sosial, identitas, dan kemanjuran.

Abstract

Legal awareness in traffic reflects the extent to which individuals understand, accept, and comply with legal regulations in daily life. Among students, deviant behavior still occurs, indicating the need to strengthen legal understanding. This study aims to analyze students' traffic law awareness from the perspective of civic competence at SMA Negeri 3 Bungo, which includes the dimensions of civic knowledge, civic skills, and civic disposition. The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with purposive sampling in selecting informants, consisting of seven Grade X and XI students as primary informants, one Pancasila Education teacher as a key informant, and one vice principal for curriculum as an additional informant. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that students’ civic knowledge is relatively good in understanding basic rules, but they lack deep comprehension of formal legal provisions such as traffic laws. In terms of civic skills, students actively participate in awareness activities but remain passive in responding to violations in their surroundings. Meanwhile, their civic disposition still relies on external supervision and has not developed into intrinsic awareness. In conclusion, students' underdeveloped civic competence contributes to their low traffic law awareness. The theoretical implication reinforces the concept that legal awareness is not solely dependent on knowledge but also on citizenship skills and attitudes. The practical implication encourages schools to strengthen the comprehensive teaching of Pancasila Education to foster more effective and sustainable legal awareness. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi guru Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan (PPKn) dalam mengembangkan kecerdasan moral guna membentuk generasi bermoral di SMP Negeri se-Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Subjek penelitian meliputi guru PPKn, siswa, serta kepala sekolah sebagai informan tambahan. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik reduksi, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru PPKn telah mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai moral ke dalam pembelajaran melalui pembiasaan, diskusi, studi kasus, penggunaan media kreatif, serta keterkaitan materi dengan kehidupan sehari-hari siswa. Strategi yang digunakan meliputi pembiasaan perilaku positif, pembelajaran kolaboratif, serta keteladanan guru yang konsisten dalam menanamkan nilai Pancasila. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa peran guru PPKn sangat sentral dalam membentuk karakter siswa sehingga tercipta generasi yang bermoral dan berintegritas. Rekomendasi penelitian ini adalah perlunya inovasi berkelanjutan dalam metode pembelajaran berbasis digital serta penguatan kapasitas guru PPKn sebagai teladan moral di sekolah  Abstract This research aims to analyze the strategies of Civic Education (PPKn) teachers in developing moral intelligence to shape a morally upright generation in public junior high schools across Muaro Jambi Regency. The subjects of this study include PPKn teachers, students, and principals as additional informants. This study employed a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings reveal that PPKn teachers have integrated moral values into learning through habituation, discussions, case studies, creative media use, and linking lessons to students’ daily lives. The strategies applied include fostering positive behavior, collaborative learning, and consistent teacher role-modeling in instilling Pancasila values. These results highlight the central role of PPKn teachers in shaping students’ character, thereby fostering a generation with morality and integrity. The study recommends continuous innovation in digital-based learning methods and strengthening the capacity of PPKn teachers as moral role models in schools.

Abstract

Integrity is a fundamental attitude that must be possessed by every individual, particularly by students of the 2023 cohort of the Civic Education (PPKn) program at Universitas Jambi, given their role as future leaders of the nation who are expected to uphold high moral and personal standards. This study aims to examine the influence of learning outcomes in anti-corruption education and social interaction on student integrity. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method involving 95 respondents. Data were analyzed using inferential statistical techniques to test the relationships between variables. The results indicate that learning outcomes in anti-corruption education and social interaction significantly affect student integrity, with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). The combined influence of these two variables on integrity is 34.6%, while the remaining variance is attributed to factors beyond the scope of this study. These findings suggest that the better the learning outcomes in anti-corruption education and the more active the students' social interactions, the higher their level of integrity. The study highlights the importance of integrating anti-corruption values into the educational process and strengthening social interaction as strategic efforts to foster student character development rooted in integrity.

Abstract

Karakter generasi muda yang melek teknologi membuat mereka cepat menerima informasi, namun rentan terhadap hoaks dan disinformasi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa pemilih pemula terhadap peran media sosial TikTok dalam komunikasi politik dan pengetahuan politik. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa TikTok berperan penting sebagai media komunikasi politik sekaligus sarana pendidikan politik bagi mahasiswa. TikTok efektif menarik perhatian melalui konten video singkat yang kreatif dan interaktif, tetapi pemahaman politik yang terbentuk masih terbatas karena rendahnya literasi digital. Pengguna aktif TikTok 1–3 jam per hari lebih terpapar isu politik, namun belum semuanya mampu berpikir kritis terhadap konten yang dikonsumsi. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah dengan pemanfaatan yang etis dan edukatif, TikTok dapat menjadi jembatan antara dunia politik dan generasi muda untuk meningkatkan kesadaran serta partisipasi politik
