Abstract

Biology is part of science that have special characteristics different from other sciences, in terms of objects, issues and methods as well as having many terms and have the object form of the Kingdom (kingdom): Animalia (animal’s world), Plantae (plant’s world), Monera, Protista, and Fungi. Object numbering thousands of types into its own difficulties to learn it. One way to make it easier to learn it is grouping or classification of organism is called Taxonomy and the scientific name is called Binomial Nomenclature. In this study, to learn the classification and scientific nomenclature, then created taxonomy’s application based on Android, which aims to facilitate students in classifying organism consist of Kingdom, Sub Kingdom, Super Division, Division, class, Sub class, Ordo, Family, Genus, and species. This application is designed and then implemented using the Java programming language for Android, MySQL and Web Server to manipulate the data that is needed, and updates the database periodically. The results of data test using Equivalence Partitioning test shown the application functionate well according to the analysis. In addition, based on questionnaire data, that the application is a user friendly application (with an average value of 4,17 / good), and interactive (with an average value of 4,08 / good).Keywords : Android, Application, Binomial Nomenclature, Taxonomy.

Abstract

Rice plant diseases can be identified from their symptoms. To find out exactly the rice plant disease, it will need agricultural experts. Numbers and distributions of agricultural expert are very limited and they cannot overcome the problems optimally, so that a system containing knowledge as what experts do is required. This research was to design web-based experts system by using forward chaining method and certainty factor. Data processed in this system were 16 diseases and 26 of disease symptoms. This system which was developed had superiorities and easiness in accessing it, user friendly and displaying certainty levels from diagnosis results with 81% of customer’s satisfaction. Kata Kunci –experts, expert system, forward chaining, rice plant diseases.

Abstract

This research was conducted to create a service learning activity reporting system which is able to assist BP-KKN, DPL and students in managing reports KKN.  The data of this research consists of the data DPL, the student, and the location of the KKN.  Data for KKN Unila Period I 2017 i.e. 55 DPL or lecturer from various faculties, 2708 students, and 387 location.  DPL data is used to test whether the system reports an activity that students upload was received directly by the DPL respectively.  Student data is used to test the system as students who are already registered as a participant of KKN that already get a token to login on this application.  While the village is used to find out the placement of the students and DPL as well as those of the village.  The results showed that: (1) functional testing using Black Box methods of Equivalence Partitioning (EP) getting results as expected on a test scenario in each test class.  (2) Ownership of smartphones and questionnaire testing provider with 135 people respondents consisting of students of KKN period I 2017 shows; ownership of Android-based smartphones to occupy the highest number i.e. 107 or 79.26%, while ownership provider Telkomsel occupies the highest number i.e. 100 or 74.07%. (3) the testing of the questionnaire android application with 40 respondents consisting of students of KKN period I 2017 shows; from the results of 5 statement on keusioner obtained an average value of 85.7% (categorized very good).  (4) the testing of the questionnaire web systems with 16 respondents consisting of DPL and KDPL KKN period I 2017 shows; from the results of the 4 statements on the questionnaire obtained average value of 81,875% (categorized very good).

Abstract

This research is conduct to make a system called “Information System of KKN with Pigeon Hole Method for Determine and Grouping KKN Participant”. Grouping KKN participant based on gender and major of faculty. Grouping KKN participant based on gender is every KKN group consist of 7 participant that consist of 3 male and 4 female. Grouping KKN participant based on majority and faculty is every KKN group consist of 7 participant that consist max 2 participant from same major and max 3 participant from same faculty. The result of grouping KKN participants based on each assumptions is percentage of system accuracy in classifying participant KKN is not much different from the ideal of percentage each group data. This information system of KKN is make using prototype method which is part of SDLC. Information system of KKN can be use as a means by students to participate KKN process. Information system of KKN with pigeon hole method make placement and grouping KKN participant more easy and well ordered.Keywords: KKN, Pigeon Hole, Prototype, System Development Life Cycle

Abstract

Bird is one of animals that can be found di various habitats, its existence spread from the forest, the plantation until the urban. Bird is also one group of animals that close to human life. The aim of this system is to be an alternative media to facilitate people who want to get information about the types of birds in Lampung University. In this research, android- based field guide to the types of birds of Lampung university areais using java programming language. The method which is used in this application is Waterfall, and Unified Modeling Language (UML) design. This application contains 61 types of birds that can be found in Lampung University. The data of this application are pictures of birds, name of birds, Latin name, English name, family name, description and status that can help the user to recognize the types of birds which they find in Lampung University. The data result used Equivalence Partitioningtesting, showed that the rules of the system can work suitable with the function and the system can give information well. This application is a category of variable user friendly with average 4,30 (very well) and a category of interactive variable with average 4,28 (very well). Keywords: Android, Bird, Field guide, pemrograman Java, Unified Modeling Language (UML)

Abstract

Tuberkulosis (TB atau TBC) merupakan salah satu penyakit infeksi yang disebabkan oleh Bakteri Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Bakteri tersebut merupakan bakteri yang sangat kuat sehingga dalam pengobatannya memerlukan waktu yang cukup lama. Pengobatan penyakit tuberkulosis dilakukan selama 6-9 bulan secara rutin dengan sedikitnya 3 macam jenis obat. Saat ini kebanyakan masyarakat menganggap batuk dalam jangka waktu berbulan-bulan merupakan batuk biasa, jika dicermati salah satu gejala yang ditimbulkan penyakit tuberkulosis, yaitu batuk dalam jangka waktu yang panjang. Pada penelitian ini digunakan data penderita tuberkulosis di Kota Bandar Lampung, data cuaca dan matrix jarak antara kejadian penderita tuberkulosis yang satu dengan kejadian yang lainnya dalam lingkup kecamatan. Jumlah dari keseluruhan data sebanyak 600 data dengan 44 variabel. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan 3 kernel yaitu, Linear, Gaussian, dan Polynomial dengan menggunakan Metode SVM dengan kernel Linear mendapatkan nilai rata-rata R2 sebesar 51.43 %, pada percobaan dengan metode SVM dengan kernel Gaussian mendapatkan nilai rata-rata R2 sebesar 58.53 % dan pada percobaan dengan metode SVM dengan kernel Polynomial mendapatkan nilai rata-rata R2 sebesar 36.03 %.Kata Kunci : Prediksi penderita tuberculosis, tuberculosis, Machine Learning, Support Vector Machine.Tuberculosis (TB / TBC) is one of infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis bacteria. These bacteria are very strong bacteria so for the treatment takes a long time. Tuberculosis treatment is carried out for 6-9 months regularly with at least 3 types of drugs. Currently, most of people consider a cough for months is a common cough, if looked by one of the symptoms caused by tuberculosis, which is a cough for a long time. In this research, data on tuberculosis patients in the city of Bandar Lampung were used, weather data and the distance matrix between the case of tuberculosis patients with other case within the district. The total number of data is 600 data with 44 variables. This research also uses 3 kernels namely, Linear, Gaussian, and Polynomial by using the SVM method with the Linear kernel getting an average R2 value of 51.43%, in the experiment with the SVM method with a gaussian kernel getting an average R2 value of 58.53% and at Experiments with the SVM method with the Polynomial kernel obtained an average value of R2 of 36.03% .Keywords : Prediction of tuberculosis sufferers, tuberculosis, Machine Learning, Support Vector Machine.

Abstract

Pengomposan ialah salah satu dari berbagai metode pengolahan sampah organik dimana bertujuan untuk mengurangi dan juga mengubah komposisi sampah menjadi produk yang bermanfaat. Artikel ini berupaya memberikan gambaran dan penjelasan terkait program kerja pembuatan pupuk kompos, meliputi proses, tahapan, hasil, dan manfaatnya. Penulisan artikel ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan dengan model deskriptif-eksplanatif. Hasilnya, masyarakat menerima pemahaman dan wawasan baru dalam hal pemanfaatan limbah rumah tangga. Selain itu, masyarakat dapat mengurangi penggunaan pupuk kimia dan pupuk buatan pabrik yang umumnya sudah digunakan oleh masyarakat desa, sehingga dapat meminimalkan pengeluaran masyarakat petani desa dalam proses bercocok tanam. Artikel ini terbatas pada pelaksanaan KKN Mandiri Putra Daerah Periode 1 2021. Artikel ini juga berkontribusi dalam keilmuan pertanian serta praktik dan strategi pengimplementasian poin SDGs.

Abstract

Kemampuan dan keterampilan guru baik menggunakan maupun mengadakan media pembelajaran dalam proses belajar mengajar di dalam kelas bukan lagi merupakan suatu hal yang dapat diabaikan, akan tetapi ini merupakan suatu keharusan, mengingat dalam era pembangunan pendidikan di masa sekarang dan mendatang bertitik tolak pada kualitas keluarannya. Tujuan dalam pelatihan ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, kemampuan dalam membuat dan kemampuan dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ada 2, yaitu: ceramah (40%) dan praktik (60%) dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 65 orang guru. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pemahaman berupa sikap, penguasaan, dan pembuatan media pembelajaran oleh peserta dilakukan dengan semangat yang ditunjukkan dari hasil post test yang memperoleh nilai yang baik para peserta sebanyak 65 orang atau 76,47%.

Abstract

Kota Bandar Lampung merupakan gerbang pintu Pulau Sumatera dimana sering terjadi bencana alam, yaitu berupa gempa bumi, banjir, tanah longsor, kebakaran, angin puting beliung dan bencana yan lain. Namun tidak semua warga Kota Bandar Lampung mengerti dan memahami bagaimana mengelola mitigasi bencana, terutama siswa sekolah di Kota Bandar Lampung. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk pengetahuan literasi mitigasi bencana bagi siswa SMA Surya Dharma dengan manfaat yang diberikan adalah bekal ilmu pengetahuan, keterampilan dan motivasi.

Abstract

Pentingnya pengetahuan perihal kesehatan hutan yaitu diperlukan untuk mengetahui gangguan yang terjadi, sehingga perlu dilakukan pemantauan kesehatan hutan secara berkala. Pemantauan kesehatan hutan adalah salah satu cara untuk menjamin kelestarian hutan salah satunya hutan mangrove. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman anggota Kelompok Tani Hutan (KTH) Lestari Indah mengenai penggunaan Sistem Informasi Penilaian Kesehatan Hutan (SIPUT). Sasaran pengabdian ini adalah anggota KTH Lestari Indah. Tingkat pemahaman peserta perlu diketahui sehingga dilakukannya evaluasi melalui dua tahap yaitu evaluasi awal (pre-test) dan evaluasi akhir (post-test) dengan cara pemberian kuesioner. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pemahaman peserta tentang penggunaan software penilaian kesehatan hutan yaitu dengan rerata nilai pre-test dan post-test masing-masing sebesar 61,125% dan 80,125%. Persentase kenaikan pengetahuan peserta dari hasil pre-test dan post-test adalah 19%. Oleh karena itu, penggunaan software SIPUT merupakan media yang tepat untuk mempermudah penilaian kondisi kesehatan hutan mangrove.
