Abstract

Abstract: The digital era heralds a phenomenon of information and communication technology development where aspects of human life can be publicised, including the context of religion, moral values, ethics, and education. This is considered important because it has the potential to produce something useful, ready to face the challenges and dynamics that continue to grow. The use of digital is certainly not free from its negative influences, including ethics and morality. Although it brings benefits, this era also presents challenges, such as the digital divide and information security. This article highlights the importance of Christian religious education in shaping individual character and morality as well as maintaining moral integrity amidst the ever-evolving digital information flow. In the context of Christian ethics, this study emphasises the need for relevant and responsive religious education to address digital dynamics while maintaining Christian values. Through a descriptive approach, this paper analyses the impact of the digital era on education and explains the foundation of Christian ethics in guiding learners' morality. The results show that Christian religious education remains a relevant force in shaping moral character in this digital age through ethical discussions using collaborative platforms, the significance of implementing digital ethics in the religious education curriculum, and the act of analysing big data to respond to the moral challenges of the digital age.

Abstract

Abstract: This study investigates the concept of missionary leadership in the digital age, as well as the associated challenges and adaptation strategies. Utilizing literature and the Bible as primary sources, the study utilizes a qualitative descriptive research design and a library research methodology. The objectives of this study are to explicate the concept of missionary leadership in the digital era and to investigate the problems and solutions associated with its adaptation. In light of technological advancements, the findings emphasize the significance of effective and pertinent missionary leadership. The church is encouraged to improve its technical, management, and communication skills in order to effectively carry out its mission in the digital landscape and meet the changing requirements of the congregation. By establishing a balance between the use of technology and personal relationships, the church can leverage digital platforms to advance its mission while remaining consistent with its core values.   Keywords: Church, Digitalization, Missionary Leadership, Science.   Abstrak: Studi ini menyelidiki konsep kepemimpinan misionaris di era digital, serta tantangan dan strategi adaptasi yang terkait. Dengan menggunakan literatur dan Alkitab sebagai sumber utama, penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan konsep kepemimpinan misionaris di era digital dan untuk menyelidiki masalah dan solusi yang terkait dengan adaptasinya. Dengan adanya kemajuan teknologi, temuan-temuan penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya kepemimpinan misionaris yang efektif dan relevan. Gereja didorong untuk meningkatkan keterampilan teknis, manajemen, dan komunikasinya agar dapat secara efektif menjalankan misinya dalam lanskap digital dan memenuhi kebutuhan jemaat yang terus berubah. Dengan membangun keseimbangan antara penggunaan teknologi dan hubungan pribadi, gereja dapat memanfaatkan platform digital untuk memajukan misinya sambil tetap konsisten dengan nilai-nilai intinya.   Kata kunci: Digitalisasi, Gereja, Ilmu Pengetahuan, Kepemimpinan Misionaris.

Abstract

This article will discuss the role of "debata" theology of calling within the context of Christian faith in Batak society, Indonesia. "Debata" theology of calling refers to the teachings and customary traditions of the Batak people that regulate the duties, responsibilities, and obligations of individuals within the community. This article will analyze how "debata" theology of calling influences the practices and perceptions of the Christian faith among the Batak community. The literature sources utilized in this article include research, books, and papers related to Christian theology and Batak culture.

Abstract

This article explores the relationship between nationalism and Christian faith from a biblical perspective. Nationalism is often defined as loyalty to nation and state, while Christian faith centres on loyalty to God and His kingdom. In the Indonesian context, churches participated in the nationalism movement from the colonialism era until independence. Based on theological studies, the Bible provides insight that believers' primary loyalty should be to God, although they are also expected to be good citizens. This article uses a literature study method with a qualitative approach to analyse relevant biblical texts as well as related theological literature. The concept of nation in the Bible is examined from the perspective of the Old Testament, which focuses on the ethnic identity of the nation of Israel, to the New Testament, which expands the nation's identity into an inclusive community of faith. The article also highlights the ethical implications of nationalism for Christians, who should reflect the values of justice, love and sacrifice, and avoid exclusionary and xenophobic attitudes.

Abstract

In the digital era, technology plays an important role in designing learning that is more interactive, personalised and adaptive. This research examines the role of learning technology in learning design through a qualitative approach based on a literature review. The use of technology, such as Learning Management Systems (LMS), virtual reality (VR), and artificial intelligence (AI), shows potential to increase student engagement as well as provide a more flexible learning experience. Blended learning approaches are also proven to increase engagement and provide flexibility in the learning process. In addition, technology supports competency-based learning that enables real-time evaluation of student progress through learning analytics. However, there are challenges in implementing technology, such as the digital divide, teacher readiness, and infrastructure limitations. Therefore, the successful integration of technology in learning design requires support from educational institutions and policies to provide adequate training for teachers and appropriate technology infrastructure. This study concludes that technology integration in learning design provides significant benefits in improving learning quality, but still requires a systematic and adaptive approach.

Abstract

Indonesian students' character is greatly shaped by Christian Religious Education, but in an age of globalisation and religious diversity, PAK practices must be updated and adjusted to the changing social environment. This study applies insights from educational sociology to analyse successful PAK tactics. The ideas of Christian education and sociological theories of education are used to emphasise difficulties and barriers in putting the PAK strategy into practice through qualitative library study methodologies. The results highlight the significance of comprehending ideological disputes in societies, changing curricula to reflect cultural and technological advances, and focusing on the symbolic interaction between teachers and students. The findings lay the groundwork for the creation of more pertinent and potent religious instruction.

Abstract

This article aims to explain the theological relationship between Israel and the Church as God's people, as discussed in biblical studies, and to relate it to the history and development of the Church in Indonesia. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach, this paper explores key theological concepts regarding Israel and the Church, examining how these understandings shape the Church’s mission, identity, and role. The study spans from the colonial era to the digital age, highlighting how historical and cultural contexts influence ecclesial expressions. The article argues that while the Church does not replace Israel as God's covenant people, it participates in God's redemptive plan through Christ. In the Indonesian context, the Church manifests its identity as God's chosen people by embracing local wisdom, cultural diversity, and a contextual mission. This dynamic relationship reflects the Church’s calling to live out its faith in Christ within a pluralistic society, contributing to nation-building and bearing witness to the Gospel in relevant and transformative ways.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji peran pendidikan teologi dalam menghadapi tantangan komunikasi misi multikultural di era digital. Globalisasi, perkembangan teknologi, serta meningkatnya pluralitas budaya menuntut gereja untuk mengembangkan strategi komunikasi Injil yang kontekstual, relevan, dan transformatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode kajian pustaka terhadap literatur teologi kontekstual, komunikasi misi, dan pendidikan teologi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan teologi kontekstual menjadi fondasi utama bagi keberhasilan komunikasi misi lintas budaya. Era digital menghadirkan peluang baru melalui media sosial dan teknologi interaktif, namun juga membawa risiko dangkalnya spiritualitas jika tidak diimbangi refleksi teologis yang mendalam. Sementara itu, masyarakat multikultural menuntut gereja untuk membangun komunikasi yang dialogis, partisipatif, dan menghargai keragaman budaya. Kesimpulannya, pendidikan teologi yang responsif terhadap perubahan sosial, budaya, dan teknologi mampu membentuk pemimpin gereja yang reflektif, kreatif, serta transformatif dalam menyampaikan Injil. Dengan demikian, integrasi pendidikan teologi, teologi kontekstual, dan komunikasi digital menjadi kunci keberhasilan misi di era global. Implikasi praktis dari penelitian ini adalah perlunya lembaga teologi merancang kurikulum yang relevan dengan tantangan digital dan multikultural, melatih pemimpin gereja dalam pemanfaatan media digital secara bijaksana, serta mendorong praktik komunikasi misi yang dialogis dan sensitif budaya untuk menjawab kebutuhan nyata jemaat dan masyarakat luas.

Abstract

Religion and culture are closely interconnected facets of human society that exert a profound influence on individuals' belief systems, moral principles, and actions. The discipline of religious and cultural education plays a pivotal role in advancing intercultural comprehension, cultivating societal unity, and creating a sense of global citizenship. This academic paper examines the dynamic relationship between religion and culture within educational environments, underscoring the significance of integrating religious and cultural literacy within formal educational institutions. This research is to present a comprehensive analysis of the contemporary status of education in religion and culture. To achieve this objective, a wide range of scholarly sources, including as academic journals, books, and educational reports, have been consulted. The primary focus of this study is to identify the existing obstacles in religion and culture education and propose recommendations for its successful implementation.

Abstract

Aksi perubahan yang diusulkan dalam konteks desa-desa di Kecamatan Cariu ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi permasalahan dalam pengelolaan data informasi dan administrasi pemerintahan desa yang saat ini dilakukan secara manual. Hasil diagnosa organisasi telah mengidentifikasi bahwa pendekatan manual ini telah menyebabkan keterbatasan dalam ketersediaan dan aksesibilitas data informasi dan administrasi pemerintahan di desa-desa tersebut.Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, sebuah Inovasi Rancangan Aksi Perubahan Sistem Data Informasi dan Administrasi Pemerintahan Desa yang dinamakan "SIAP_Desa" akan diterapkan. Inovasi ini akan berbasis aplikasi website yang dirancang untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas pengelolaan data informasi dan administrasi pemerintahan desa di Kecamatan Cariu.Aksi perubahan ini terdiri dari tiga tahapan kegiatan utama, yaitu jangka pendek, jangka menengah, dan jangka  panjang. Dalam tahapan jangka pendek, akan dilakukan pembentukan Tim Efektif aksi perubahan yang bertanggung jawab untuk mengimplementasikan sistem "SIAP_Desa" hingga menjadi operasional di Kecamatan Cariu. Tahapan jangka menengah akan fokus pada pengoptimalan pengelolaan data dan input data ke dalam aplikasi SIAP_Desa yang terintegrasi dengan Kecamatan Cariu. Sedangkan tahapan jangka panjang akan mencakup pemutakhiran, pengembangan, dan pemeliharaan aplikasi SIAP_Desa untuk memastikan keberlanjutan sistem. Hasil dari aksi perubahan berupa Sistem Data Informasi dan Administrasi Pemerintahan Desa "SIAP_Desa" yang berbasis aplikasi website yang memberikan kemudahan kepada Kecamatan dan Pemerintahan Desa dalam mengelola data informasi dan administrasi, serta meningkatkan kualitas layanan publik dan transparansi di tingkat desa
