Communication is an important thing in life, even every living individual cannot escape from the social environment. Parents are the most important part in exchanging information especially in learning. Parents as the first madrasah as a place to educate and guide children must pay attention to the growth and development of children as a nation's regeneration. The purpose of this study is to find out how the role of interpersonal communication between parents and children in building learning motivation and what are the inhibiting factors.

This research is entitled “Hanka Parfume Communication Strategy During the Covid-19 Pandemic. The purpose of this study is to find out how the communication strategy used by Hanka Perfume to survive the Covid-19 era and its obstacles. The theory used to explore this research is the 4P theory. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method with the research informants used in this research being the owners of Hanka parfume and several consumers of Hanka parfume. The results of the study show that the marketing communication strategy through advertising has gone well because the company advertises through Instagram media and the promos are given so that it can be known by the public. Furthermore, personal selling activities carried out by the company are by placing marketing employees who directly offer promo packages to buyers.

The development of social media today makes everything easier, including preaching activities. Preaching activities are now often conveyed through social media, one of which is Ustad Hanan Attaki who conveys his preaching through the social media Instagram @kata_uha. In his preaching, Ustad Hanan Attaki focuses on the problems experienced by teenagers today. This is because the theme of the preaching message conveyed is also regular. The research method used is qualitative, content analysis @kata_uha for the period 2024 - February 2025, by observing the content online, data coding, and documentation. Data coding produces research answers to find out what themes are predominantly used. The theme of the preaching message is Aqidah, which means faith in Allah and motivation and spirituality, namely motivation in the struggle for life. This theme is what attracts the attention of teenagers. In addition to the themes of faith, motivation and spirituality, the research also found other themes that often appear in the @kata_uha preaching content, namely the themes of morals and health in Islam. Abstrak Berkembangnya media sosial zaman sekarang memudahkan segala hal, termasuk kegiatan berdakwah. Kegiatan dakwah saat ini sudah sering disampaikan media sosial, salah satunya adalah Ustad Hanan Attaki yang menyampaikan dakwahnya melalui media sosial Instagram @kata_uha. Dalam dakwahnya, Ustad Hanan Attaki berfokus pada permasalahan yang dialami para remaja saat ini. Hal itu disebabkan karena tema pada pesan dakwah yang disampaikan juga teratur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif, analisis konten @kata_uha periode 2024 – Februari 2025, dengan mengobservasi secara online konten-konten, pengkodean data, dan dokumentasi. Pengkodean data menghasilkan jawaban penelitian untuk mengetahui tema apa yang dominan digunakan. Adapaun tema pada pesan dakwah tersebut adalah Aqidah, yang berarti keimanan kepada Allah dan motivasi dan spiritualitas yaitu motivasi pada perjuangan hidup. Tema tersebutlah yang menarik perhatian para remaja. Selain tema akidah dan motivasa serta spiritualitas, pada penelitian juga ditemukan tema lainnya yang sering muncul pada konten dakwah @kata_uha, yaitu tema akhlak dan kesehatan dalam Islam.

This study explores the historical significance and cultural legacy of the Negeri Padang Kingdom, located in Tebing Tinggi City, Sumatra. The research seeks to answer how the material and immaterial heritage of the kingdom continues to shape the region’s identity. Using a qualitative approach and historical methodology, data were collected through in-depth interviews with local historians and community elders, field observations at heritage sites, and analysis of archival documents. The findings reveal five major historical relics that remain central to the local cultural landscape: the Negeri Padang Royal Palace, Nur Addin Mosque, the Royal Family Cemetery, the Balai Kerapatan (Council Hall), and Padang Stadium. Each site carries deep symbolic and historical meaning, reflecting the kingdom’s social, religious, and political influence in the region. The study underscores the importance of these sites in maintaining cultural continuity and identity among local communities. Furthermore, it contributes to broader scholarly efforts in preserving and documenting regional history and cultural heritage in Eastern Sumatra. The research not only enriches the historiography of local kingdoms in Indonesia but also emphasizes the urgency of safeguarding such legacies amid rapid urban development and modernization.

This qualitative research emphasizes notes with detailed, complete, in-depth sentence descriptions that describe the actual situation to support the presentation of data. This research also uses historical methods. The data collection technique used direct observation of the field, interviews, and at the same time documentation. The main source for finding data is the BKM management of the Abidin mosque in Medan Maimun District, Medan City. Based on the research results conducted at the Abidin mosque in Medan Maimun District, Medan City, it can be concluded that, The Abidin Mosque is a mosque that was founded for the people of KM 3 Kampung Baru and its surroundings because of the need worship to the creator (Allah SWT). the beginning of the mosque was in the form of a surau named Batu Tiga, established in 1922. But over time this mosque has made many expansions and changes to accommodate more worshipers. This mosque stands majestically and luxuriously with unique architecture in its design. The mosque was expanded and completed in 2017 and named the Abidin mosque. (2). The Abidin Mosque has a diverse cultural acculturation in its buildings that complement each other and blend in each architecture by paying attention to every detail of the ornaments on the elements. The acculturation of the cultural touches found in this mosque is Malay, European, and Middle Eastern cultures that appear in the design of the Abidin mosque, starting from the interior and exterior walls of the mosque. As in the exterior design of the mosque in the mihrab, pulpit, pillars, and Langham. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang menekankan catatan dengan deskripsi kalimat yang rinci, lengkap, mendalam yang menggambarkan situasi yang sebenarnya guna mendukung penyajian data. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan metode sejarah. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan menggunakan observasi langsung ke lapangan, wawancara dan sekaligus dokumentasi. Narasumber utama untuk menemukan data-data ialah pengurus BKM dari masjid Abidin di Kecamatan Medan Maimun Kota Medan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan di masjid Abidin di Kecamatan Medan Maimun, Kota Medan dapat disimpulkan bahwa Masjid Abidin merupakan masjid yang didirikan untuk masyarakat KM 3 Kampung Baru dan sekitarnya karena kebutuhan akan peribadatan kepada Sang Pencipta (Allah swt.) awal berdiri masjid berupa sebuah surau yang diberi nama Batu Tiga, berdiri tahun 1922. Namun seiring berjalan waktu masjid ini banyak dilakukan perluasan dan perubahan guna untuk menampung jumlah jamaah lebih banyak. Masjid ini berdiri dengan megah dan mewah dengan arsitektur yang unik pada desainnya. Masjid yang setelah dilakukan perluasan dan rampung pada tahun 2017 dan diberi nama masjid Abidin. Masjid Abidin memiliki akulturasi budaya yang beragam di bangunannya yang saling melengkapi dan menyatu di setiap arsitekturnya dengan memperhatikan setiap detail ornamen pada elemen-elemennya. Akulturasi sentuhan budaya yang terdapat di masjid ini budaya Melayu, Eropa, dan Timur tengah yang tampak pada desain masjid Abidin, mulai dari dinding interior dan eksterior masjid. Seperti pada desain eksterior masjid pada bagian kubah, menara, serambi dan jendela. Pada desain interior masjid pada bagian mihrab, mimbar, tiang penyangga dan langgam.

This study examines the role of the Indonesian Islamic Student Movement (PMII) Medan Branch in the Reformasi movement of 1998–1999, a pivotal moment in Indonesia’s democratic transition. While previous scholarship has predominantly centered on student activism in Jakarta, this research addresses the relative neglect of regional dynamics, particularly the contributions of PMII in Medan. Utilizing a qualitative approach and case study method, the research draws on in-depth interviews with three key activists who were directly involved in the reform movement. The findings reveal that PMII Medan played a significant role in mobilizing mass demonstrations, conducting political education, building inter-organizational networks, and engaging in policy advocacy. These strategies illustrate the characteristics of a critical-transformative movement, emphasizing collective consciousness, organizational resilience, and strategic collaboration. The study underscores that regional student organizations such as PMII Medan were not peripheral actors, but integral agents in shaping Indonesia’s national reform agenda. These insights contribute to a more nuanced understanding of local agency within the broader historiography of Indonesian democratization.

This article explores the pivotal role played by Sheikh Abdul Fattah in shaping the development of Islam in Natal City and its environs from 1745 to 1855. Initially, the populace of the South Tapanuli region was lacking in Islamic knowledge. However, with the advent of Sheikh Abdul Fattah, concerted efforts were made to enhance Islamic religious education. Through the establishment and nurturing of the Sheikh Abdul Fattah Private Islamic College (STAIS), he catalyzed profound transformations. STAIS was founded upon his return from studies in Makkah, where he effectively disseminated the knowledge acquired to his community in Natal. By implementing innovative approaches, STAIS Sheikh Abdul Fattah emerged as a beacon, attracting hundreds of students from Natal City and its vicinity, thus revolutionizing Islamic education in the area. The endeavor to cultivate a refined and progressive society became central to Sheikh Abdul Fattah's vision. Inspired by this ethos, he successfully revolutionized the landscape of Islamic education in Kota Natal, leaving an indelible mark on the expansion of religious knowledge and the advancement of Muslim civilization in the region.

This article discusses the Architectural Patterns of the Five Laras Niat Palace in Batu Bara Regency. This palace was founded during the reign of Datuk Mad Yudha. This palace has a mix of European, Chinese and Malay style architecture. This study uses the historical method in four writing steps, namely; heuristics, verification or criticism, interpretation, and historiography, with an architectural approach. This palace has unique carvings and decorations. Some of the carvings contained in the architectural pattern of the Five Laras Intentional Palace building, are: Flower Susun Kelapa, Ricih Wajid, Clove Flower, Banana Heart, Dumping Rice, Single Corn, Tapuk Pinang, Bees Bergayut, Endless Tile, Sula Wheel, Crown Flower, A Herd of Ducks Going Home in the Evening, and Arrange Betel. After the death of the Datuk, this palace was slowly being abandoned by the Kedatuan Lima Laras family, because the condition was no longer feasible. Until now, the Niat Lima Laras Palace remains one of the people's pride and is a major historical tourist destination in Batu Bara Regency.

This article aims to discuss the History of the Historical Community of North Sumatra and its role in promoting Islamic sites in North Sumatra. The North Sumatra Historical Community was established on January 17, 2016. This community is a community engaged in history, education, tourism and culture. The members of this community are approximately 20 people. The method used in this research is the historical method with four stages, namely; heuristics, criticism or verification, interpretation and historiography. Based on the results of research that the authors get. The efforts made by the Historical Community of North Sumatra in carrying out its role as an institution that promotes Islamic sites in North Sumatra are; holding seminars and discussions, being a tour guide, promoting various historical sites through social media.
