Abstract

This study was conducted at the Perum LPPNPI Branch Office in Gorontalo, Gorontalo Province, from January to June 2024. The background of this research is the inadequate condition of the cabin tower and substandard communication equipment, which disrupt the performance of Air Traffic Controllers (ATC). The aim of this study is to determine the impact of noise in the cabin tower on the working environment of ATC. It is hoped that this research will provide solutions to the noise impact and help ATC achieve a compliant and comfortable working environment for providing air traffic services. The method used is quantitative. Data collection involved using a Likert scale questionnaire and direct noise measurement with a sound level meter, specifically the Uni T - UT 353 model. Data analysis was performed using Pearson's Product-Moment Correlation, coefficient tests, and regression. The study population consisted of 8 ATC personnel at the AirNav Tower unit in Gorontalo. The results showed a strong correlation between noise in the cabin tower and the ATC working environment, with a correlation coefficient of 0.823 and a determination coefficient of 67%. This means that noise affects the working environment by 67%, while the remaining 33% is influenced by other factors not examined. These findings emphasize the importance of addressing noise issues to enhance ATC performance and work comfort.

Abstract

Transportasi udara mengalami pertumbuhan signifikan dalam pergerakan pesawat, penumpang, dan kargo. Moda transportasi udara melibatkan pesawat udara dan bandar udara sebagai prasarana transportasi. Keselamatan penerbangan menjadi fokus utama untuk mendukung pembangunan dan memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat. Budaya keselamatan, hasil dari kombinasi budaya organisasi, professional, dan nasional diimplementasikan melalui edukasi kepada mitra penerbangan. Politeknik Penerbangan Indonesia Curug melakukan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat dengan fokus pada keselamatan penerbangan. Penguasaan materi aeronautika penting bagi peserta didik di bidang penerbangan. Sosialisasi di SMK Penerbangan Dirghantara Curug bertujuan memberikan pehaman tentang kawasan keselamatan operasional penerbangan dan aturan telah ada dan perlu dipatuhi. Metode kegiatan dimulai dengan survey untuk menentukan tema yang sesuai. Lalu, melalui sosialisasi dan ceramah, wawasan penerbangan siswa diharapkan bertambah. Kegiatan ini diakhiri dengan forum tanya dan jawab serta pemberian sertifikat kepesertaan. Hasil kegiatan ini mencakup Perjanjian Kerja Sama dengan SMK Penerbangan Dirghantara Curug dan pelaksanaan kegiatan sesuai jadwal. Pembiayaan disetujui dari anggaran PPI Curug dan mitra. Kegiatan ini telah terlaksana dengan antusiasme dari siswa maupun guru. Evaluasi menunjukkan keberhasilan kegiatan dengan penilaian tertinggi pada waktu penyampaian materi dan partisipasi para anggota. Kegiatan ini berhasil memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap pemahaman siswa tentang pentingnya pelayanan informasi aeronautika bagi keselamatan penerbangan

Abstract

The research was carried out at Aji Pangeran Tumenggung Pranoto Samarinda International Airport to find out how the treatment of the existence of wild animals (dogs) affects aviation safety. In this study, a qualitative descriptive approach is used. From December 2020 to February 2021, direct field observations and documentation studies were used to collect data. The results of the research showed that the presence of wild animals entering the manouevering area and movement area often impeded the movement of aircraft. There needs to be special attention must be taken in the handling of wild animals to enhance flight safety at at Aji Pangeran Tumenggung Pranoto Samarinda International Airport. In addition, coordination and management system is needed, such as the establishment of wildlife prevention teams and infrastructure repairs that can be gaps for wildlife entry into manouevering areas and movement areas.

Abstract

This research was conducted at Aji Pangeran Tumenggung Pranoto International Airport in Samarinda to determine the efficiency of communication after road access which affects flight safety. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique used was a documentation study and direct observation in the field from December 2020 to February 2021. The results showed that the movement of Pertamina and PKP-PK unit vehicles in the manouevering area and movement area of Aji Pangeran Tumenggung Pranoto Samarinda International Airport often impeded movement aircraft. There is a need for access road to improve flight safety and reduce the load of communication between air traffic controllers and the Pertamina and PKP-PK units at Aji Pangeran Tumenggung Pranoto International Airport, Samarinda.

Abstract

Kualanamu Medan Airport provides air traffic services, there are aerodome control services, approach control services, and area control services by using existing technological developments. One of them is flight navigation equipment that used to be conventional, such as Radar, now starting to switch to Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B). Based on the results of existing observations, it is known that the ADS-B equipment at Perum LPPNPI Medan Airport has not yet been certified and standardized, so there are still frequent differences in the information provided between the ADS-B and the Radar. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. While the technique of collecting data by mean of interviews and observation. The advice that the author can give is a short-term solution in the form of reviewing the use of the ADS-B tool at Perum LPPNPI Medan because there is no such certification and a long-term solution, namely updating the Air Traffic Control System (ATC System) in Perum LPPNPI Medan to help use the ADS-B tool in the future.

Abstract

All Air Traffic Controller personnel have an obligation to maintain their competence, one of which is by participating in Refresher Training at least once every 3 (three) years, the problem that is that not all Air Traffic Controller personnel from the Indonesian Air Force get the opportunity to take part in Refresher Training. PKM for PPI Curug lecturers through Refresher Training Aerodrome Control Tower Training are carried out offline or face to face. The result is that this refreshing training can provide knowledge and competence for ATC personnel from the Indonesian Air Force to continue to be the leading pioneers in maintaining aviation safety in Indonesia

Abstract

Based on Law No. 20 of 2003, Article 1, regarding the national education system, it is stated that education should be conducted democratically, fairly, and without discrimination, while upholding human rights, religious values, cultural values, and the diversity of the nation. Additionally, Presidential Regulation No. 68 of 2022 concerning the Revitalization of Vocational Education and Vocational Training is also relevant.In light of these two regulations, there is a need for information about higher education institutions that can meet the criteria outlined in these regulations. Furthermore, there is a need for information about higher education institutions that are easily accessible, have relatively affordable tuition fees, offer relatively short education durations to facilitate quick graduation, and prepare students for the workforce by equipping them with practical skills during their education at PPI Curug, a vocational higher education institution. The proposed solution is to provide students of SMAN 3 with an understanding of the importance of acquiring competencies and skills to be job-ready through the dissemination of knowledge during socialization sessions. This will help students realize the value of applying the knowledge they gain at PPI Curug in their future careers. This Community Engagement Program (PKM) aims to introduce the Diploma III Program in Aeronautical Information Services, whose graduates will work in the field of aviation, providing flight information in the form of self-briefings, Notice To Airmen (NOTAM), Aeronautical Information Publications (AIP), and aeronautical charts/maps. It is hoped that through this explanation, PKM participants will be motivated and develop an interest in continuing their education at PPI Curug, especially in the Diploma III Program in Aeronautical Information Services. The activities have progressed smoothly, and there is a high level of interest among students from SMAN 3 Kabupaten Tangerang, as evidenced by the numerous questions raised during the sessions.

Abstract

Aeronautical Information Services (AIS) is a service responsible for ensuring the safety, regulation, and efficient air navigation through providing information and data related to aviation. Aeronautical Information Services (AIS) is a service established within a specific geographical area responsible for providing flight information and data. Therefore, it requires supporting facilities to provide high-quality information to support airline operations. In this journal, a qualitative approach with descriptive data is employed. Data collection is done through direct observation (direct observation) as an insider directly conducts On-the-Job Training at the AIS in the Denpasar Region.

Abstract

NOTAM is a notice disseminated by telecommunication that contains information about the establishment, condition, or change of facilities, services, procedures, or flight hazards, which must be known in a timely manner by personnel related to flight operations, at the airport itself NOTAM is issued by the NOTAM Office through the Regional Aeronautical Information Service. The research method used is a qualitative research method in which the researcher studies how the group works in actual conditions through observation and interviews. There are various types of information published through NOTAM, one of which is information about airspace or Airspcae. The verification process is included in the registration process, the process of which is regulated in SOP 02 (procedure for registration and verification of requests for changes to the addition of aeronautical information in the PIA region). When verifying NOTAM applications related to airspace or Airspace Reservation, there is no mechanism for verifying the suitability of location coordinates. Therefore, it is important to include technical guidance related to verification of location coordinates.

Abstract

Post-flight information is information regarding the condition of the aircraft, information on the next flight, accident or loss reports (if any) which can be used for analysis, learning and decision making, which is reported after flight operations. The research method used is a qualitative research method where the researcher conducts a study of group culture in natural conditions through observation and interviews. Post-flight information plays an important role because it contains information needed for flight safety.
