Abstract

Based on the results of the initial survey, it is known that the highest number of Tb cases in Riau Province occurred in Pekanbaru City with 3361 cases. One of the Puskesmas working areas with the highest Tb cases is the Umbansari Puskesmas working area. The results of observations generally the community has a job with an income that is still below the minimum wage, meaning that the economic status in the community specifically suffering from Pulmonary TB is more prevalent than the economic status above the minimum wage standard. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between economic status and physical condition of the house with the incidence of Tb. The type of research is quantitative with a cross sectional approach. The research was conducted at the Umbansari Health Center work area in 2023. The sample amounted to 78 people. The results showed that there was a relationship between economic status (p value 0.000) and physical condition of the house (p value 0.011) with the incidence of Tb. It is suggested that the Puskesmas is expected to use the results of this study to improve contact investigation to reduce the incidence of TB and break the chain of transmission, especially related to contact history. Keywords: Economy, Physical House Condition, Tuberculosis

Abstract

WHO estimates that preeclampsia cases are seven times higher in developing countries than in developed countries. The cause of preeclampsia is not only caused by one factor, but many factors cause preeclampsia and eclampsia disease (multiple causation). Parity, history of hypertension, diabetes. Based on the survey results at Sansani Hospital, it is known to have an incidence of preeclampsia of 21.95%. The purpose of the study was to determine several factors that cause the incidence of preeclampsia. This type of research uses quantitative with a cross sectional approach. The research was conducted in January 2023 using simple random sampling. The sample amounted to 79 people. The results showed there was a relationship between parity (p value 0.000) and hypertension (p value 0.000) on the incidence of preeclampsia. Based on the results of the study is expected to be input and information to pregnant women regarding parity and history of the incidence of preeclampsia in pregnant women. For health workers, it is expected to be information in health services in order to prevent risk factors for preeclampsia in pregnant women as early as possible. Keywords: Hypertension, Parity, Preeclampsia

Abstract

Clean and safe delivery care is an important part of efforts to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates. Midwives' compliance in implementing normal delivery care standards from Stage I to Stage IV greatly determines the quality of services and the safety of mothers and infants. This study aims to determine the level of midwives' compliance with the implementation of clean and safe delivery care standards. The research method used is quantitative descriptive with a cross-sectional approach. Data were collected through observation and questionnaires of 30 midwives on duty in the delivery room at a regional hospital. The results showed that most midwives (76.7%) had implemented care according to standards, but there were still several indicators that had not been implemented consistently, especially in the early phase of Stage I and the monitoring stage in Stage IV. It was concluded that regular training and supervision were needed to improve compliance with delivery care standards.

Abstract

Abstract: Cervical cancer is one of the types of malignant tumors that develop in the cervix or uterine opening. This disease is quite dangerous because in its early stages, it often does not show clear clinical symptoms. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and cervical cancer prevention behavior in women of childbearing age. The research design used in this study was cross-sectional. The study was conducted in Candi Mulyo Village in September 2024. The population for this study was all women of reproductive age (WUS) in Candi Mulyo Village, totaling 48 individuals. The sample size was 35 respondents. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling. The research instrument used a research questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using univariate and bivariate methods. The results of the study showed a significant relationship between the level of knowledge (p-value: 0.03) and cervical cancer prevention behavior among women of reproductive age. It is recommended that healthcare workers be more active in providing education about cervical cancer, including its symptoms, causes, and the importance of early detection, as well as expanding the scope of screening services and involving health cadres to reach groups of women of reproductive age who have difficulty accessing healthcare facilities. This will help increase knowledge about cervical cancer through regular health education and check-ups, as well as raise awareness of the importance of early detection of cervical cancer. Keywords: Cancer, Knowledge, Women of Childbearing Age.

Abstract

Phlebitis is an inflammation of the veins that occurs as a result of unsuccessful vein puncture, contamination of IV equipment and inadequate use of hypertonic solutions which can chemically irritate the veins. To minimize the risk of infection, nurses need to be aware of and recognize which factors are dominant in the incidence of phlebitis. This study aims to determine the incidence of phlebitis in the internal, surgical and pediatric ward of the hospital. The research design used was an analytic survey with a prospective (Study Cohort) approach, which is an observational study, meaning that the risk factors to be studied are identified first. It is then followed up prospectively. Sampling was carried out by purposive sampling method with a total sample of 57 people, then the results were tested using a computer program with the Chi Square test with a significance level of α = 0.05. The results of this study showed that there was no relationship between age and the incidence of phlebitis (p value = 0.531 > 0.05), there was a relationship between gender and the incidence of phlebitis (p value = 0.007 <0.005), there was a relationship between the size of intravenous catheter cannula and the incidence of phlebitis (p value = 0.001 < 0.05), there was no relationship between the type of fluid and the incidence of phlebitis (p value 0.373 > 0.05), there was a relationship between the type of infusion set and the incidence of phlebitis (p value 0.016 < 0.05), and There is a relationship between the infusion procedure and the incidence of phlebitis (p value 0.004 <0.05). The conclusion is that there is a relationship between gender, type of infusion set, size of intravenous catheter cannula, infusion procedure and no relationship between age and type of fluid with the incidence of phlebitis.
