Abstract

Desa Renah Alai sangat potensial dalam budidaya pertanian termasuk budidaya ubi jalar putih. Saat ini sekitar 80% masyarakat Desa Renah Alai membudidayakan ubi jalar  dalam memenuhi pangan lokal. Bahkan sebagian produksi ubi jalar dijual keluar desa. Banyaknya produksi ubi jalar tidak diikuti dengan peningkatan nilai tambah dari ubi jalar tersebut sehingga nilai jual ubi jalar sangat rendah. Oleh karena itu, diperlukannya diversifikasi olahan makanan ubi jalar diharapkan mampu meningkatkan nilai tambah ubi jalar misalnya pembuatan stik ubi. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada masyarakat Desa Renah Alai dalam pengolahan ubi jalar sehingga dapat meningkatkan nilai tambah ubi jalar. Kegiatan ini difokuskan kepada pengolahan stik ubi jalar. Hasil pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi peluang untuk  meningkatkan pendapatan dan kesejahteraan petani ubi jalar  serta mencegah turunnya harga ubi jalar ketika panen serempak

Abstract

This Research aim  a) To analyse infrastructure growth to, market draught irrigation Muaro Jambi Regency Period 2000-2010; b)  To analyse infrastructure expense allocation growth and its proportion to totalizeing area expense Muaro Jambi Regency Period 2000-2010 c) To know and analyse ready influence infrastructure, market and irrigation to agricultural sector added value  Muaro Jambi Regency  Period 2000-2010. Result of research indicate that a)  During period 2000-2010 infrastructure growth rate in Muaro Jambi Regency is equal to 6,60 percent per year, in   same period infrastructure growth rate irrigation in Muaro Jambi Regency equal to 15,70 percent and infrastructure growth natural market growth mean equal to 18,16 percent b) meanly during period 2000-2010 infrastructure expense proportion to area expense equal to 39,85 percent, with growth per year mean equal to 65,32 percent meanly during period 2000-2010 growth agricultural sector added value Muaro Jambi Regency equal to 4,75 percent c) Infrastructure variable street, market and irrigation by together have an effect on positive and signifikan to velue added agricultural sector. By parsial infrastructure variable irrigation and street have an effect on by signifikan to agricultural sector added value, but market variable though have an effect on positive but don’t signifikan. Abstract

Poverty and forestry has inter-connected one another. Most of the poor people live in the urban area are closely interacted with forest. This fact has been showed in some studies which are clearly stated that poor people are mostly found nearby forest area. Bukit Dua Belas national park as one of national park in Jambi province had experienced drastical forest degradation for the last 20 years. Based on the data alalysis from Citra Satelite, the total of degraded forest area is approximately 69,825 ha or in average is 3,492 ha per year. It happens because of massive encroachment which is done by the local people in a purpose to open communities’ farming. The primary objective of this research is to analyze which factors has contributed to communities’ impovorishment around TNBD. The result of this study shows that the distance of farming, size of land,  the management and the status of land are the potential factor affecting the communities’ income significantly.   Keywords: national park, forestry, forest degradation, poor people

Abstract

This research aims to calculate Fiscal Needs in Jambi City and analyze the level of dependence on Fiscal relations with the Economic Growth in Jambi and see how much the rate dependence of the Fiscal Jambi City to the Central Government. These results indicate that the Fiscal Needs in Jambi city has increased significantly each year, the average growth of 46.28 %. Local Government Fiscal Dependence level of Jambi City to the Central Government is very High, the average in the past 11 years (2000 s / d 2010) the proportion of PAD to the total of the local revenue obtained an average of 9.6% and the proportion of average fund balance of the total of local revenues obtained an average of 90.4%, The relationship between the level of fiscal dependence with the Economic Growth in Jambi is very low, amounting to only 0.068.Keywords: Fiscal Need, Local Revenue, Fiscal Dependence

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze how big the marginal propensity to consume (MPC) and the average propensity to consume (APC) the people of Indonesia before and after the economic crisis and to find out and analyze what factors are affecting the consumption of Indonesian society. The method used in this research is descriptive and quantitative methods. From the research : 1) the marginal propensity to consume (MPC) the people of Indonesia after the economic crisis has decreased and the average propensity to consume (APC) the people of Indonesia after the economic crisis have increased.   2) Before the economic crisis affecting consume of Indonesian society is the national income and deposit rates. After the economic crisis affecting consume of Indonesian society is the national income and inflation. And overall, both before and after the economic crisis affecting consume of Indonesian society is the national income and deposit rates. Abstract

The purposes of this study are ; ( 1 ) How does the social and economic characteristics of rice farmers in Jambi Muaro ; ( 2 ) What factors are affecting rice production in Muaro Jambi; ( 3 ) How is the impact of the land optimization program toward the increase of rice production in Muaro Jambi and ( 4 ) How is the income distribution of rice farmers in Muaro Jambi. The methodology of research used in this study is survey method using primary data and secondary data . Analysis tools used in this study are qualitative description and quantitative description using Cobb Douglas Production-Function Model , and the Gini Index Ratio . The findings in this study are ; ( 1 ) The Average production per hectare of rice farmers in the study area during the growing season was below the average production of Muaro Jambi district . ( 2 ) Over-All Test ( F Test ) showed that the land variable, orea fertilizer , seeds, labor capital , farming experience and education level have  influenced the rice production . While based on the partial test, it was showed that only the land area variable ( X1 ) and orea fertilizer ( x2 ) which significantly influence rice production while the amount of seed variable ( X3 ) , labor ( X4 ) , capital ( X5 ) , experience ( D1 ) , and formal education ( D2 ) had no significant effect on rice production in the research area ' ( 3 ) The land optimization has increased the income of the farmers' compared to pre-optimization condition, but the gini index ratio is higher as a result of the maximization of income to farmers who have more land which is proven by The Gini Index Ratio: 0.30 in pre-optimization and after optimization of land it raises to 0:32 ; ( 4 ) The Land-Optimization Program which has implemented by the Government Muaro Jambi has positive impact both on increasing rice production and the income of farmers.   Key words : Optimization of Land , Production Optimization , Gini Ratio

Abstract

The food and beverage industry, the paper and paper goods industry, and the rubber industry, rubber and plastic goods are leading industries that play an important role in the regional economy of Jambi Province. Therefore, policies are needed to sustain leading industries' growth and development. This research aims to formulate a downstream strategy for the leading processing industry in Jambi province. The method used is the Analytical Network Process (ANP).  The analysis results show that the priority strategy in the downstream development of the three leading industries in Jambi Province is optimizing the government's role in policy and funding for the downstream program.

Abstract

The aims of this study are 1) to find out and analyze the description of planning documents, administrative records, human resource competencies, procurement documents, money supply and budget absorption in the Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Education Work Unit in Jambi Province. 2) To analyze the effect of planning documents, administrative records, human resource competence, procurement documents and money supply on budget absorption in the State Madrasah Aliyah Education Unit in Jambi Province.This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The type of data used for processing this research data is primary data with the analytical tool used is multiple linear regression. Based on the results of multiple linear regression, it shows that planning documents, administrative records, human resource competencies, and money supply have a significant effect on budget absorption in the State Madrasah Aliyah Education Work Unit in Jambi Province. Meanwhile, procurement documents have no significant effect on budget absorption in the State Madrasah Aliyah Education Unit in Jambi Province.

Abstract

Determining growth centers and agricultural base commodities is essential for optimizing economic development and achieving economic equality in the Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency area. This study aimed to identify sub-districts that could become growth centers, establish agricultural commodities based in each Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency sub-district, and examine interactions between growth centers and surrounding areas. Three methods employed in this research include Scalogram analysis, Centrality Index, Location Quotient, and Dynamic Location Quotient. Based on the Scalogram analysis and Centrality Index results for the 13 Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency sub-districts, four sub-districts were identified as potential growth centers: Tungkal Ilir, Tebing Tinggi, and Merlung. The Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency Government is recommended to establish basic commodity specialization in each sub-district and strengthen inter-regional linkages to accelerate regional economic equity.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) analyze the development of local taxes in Jambi City in the period 1998–2021. (2) To analyze what factors affect local tax revenue in Jambi City in the period 1998–2021. (3) To analyze the effect of local tax revenue on economic growth in Jambi City in the period 1998–2021. This study uses secondary data in the form of time series data during the period 1998–2021. The analysis techniques used in this research are descriptive, qualitative, and quantitative. The model used in this analysis is an econometric model with the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) model. The results of the study provide conclusions. (1) The development of tax revenue in Jambi City in 1998–2021 tends to experience fluctuations, but overall tax revenue in Jambi City has shown quite good development. (2) GRDP, population, and investment partially affect the amount of hotel tax revenue in Jambi City. Meanwhile, inflation and government policy variables have no significant effect on the amount of hotel tax revenue in Jambi City. Furthermore, GRDP, population, inflation, and investment partially affect the amount of restaurant tax revenue in Jambi City. Meanwhile, the government policy variable has no significant effect on the amount of restaurant tax revenue in Jambi City. Next, GRDP, population, investment, and government policy partially affect the amount of entertainment tax revenue in Jambi City. While the inflation variable has no significant effect on the amount of entertainment tax revenue in Jambi City, GRDP, inflation, investment, and government policy partially affect the amount of billboard tax revenue in Jambi City. Meanwhile, the population variable has no significant effect on the amount of billboard tax revenue in Jambi City. Finally, GRDP, inflation, investment, and population partially affect the amount of street lighting tax revenue in Jambi City. Meanwhile, the government policy variable has no significant effect on the amount of street lighting tax revenue in Jambi City. (3) Entertainment, hotel, and restaurant taxes positively and significantly affect economic growth in Jambi City from 1998–2021. Meanwhile, billboard taxes and street lighting taxes have no significant effect on economic growth in Jambi City.
