Abstract

Agregat merupakan komponen utama dari campuran aspal panas (hotmix) yaitu 95% dari total berat campuran. Di Provinsi Gorontalo, terdapat beberapa sumber agregat (quarry) yang digunakan untuk memproduksi hotmix. Berkaitan dengan hal itu, penulis melakukan penelitian tentang sifat-sifat fisik agregat yang digunakan pada campuran aspal panas. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada Quarry Pilolalenga, Quarry Tangkobu dan Quarry Molintogupo yang masing-masing dikelola oleh perusahaan kontraktor di Provinsi Gorontalo. Sebagian besar campuran aspal untuk lapis permukaan jalan yang ada di Provinsi Gorontalo menggunakan agregat yang berasal dari lokasi material di atas. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian sifat-sifat agregat yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ggregat yang berasal dari Quarry Pilolalenga memenuhi spesifikasi Bina Marga 2007. Agregat yang berasal dari Quarry Molintogupo, agregat halus lolos saringan no. 200 tidak memenuhi spesifikasi yakni 8,38% > 8 %. Agregat yang berasal dari Quarry Tangkobu, agregat kasar lolos saringan no. 200 tidak memenuhi spesifikasi yakni 1,30% > 1 %. Kata-kata Kunci : agregat, gradasi, quarry.

Abstract

Gorontalo Provinces morphology is steep mountain and undulate to west-east which is formed of igneous rock, sedimentary rock and metamorphic rock with geology structure is fault that actively. Generally, land structure of Botus slope is residual soil, result of rock corrosion and colluvial deposition. It was susceptible to landslide. It was also detached and able to keep the water. Therefore, strength of slide is weak, especially if the water is saturated. On cases Botu slide, the slide always happen in rainy. In general, it was caused of high rainfall with certain duration, so cause the stability of slope is disturbed. Other causes is drainage system that is not have a function because it was closed by some material from the slope that delivered by water. Hence, the water polish slope. Abstract

The determination of bearing capacity in highway and airport designing is an important element because value of this determination will affect the thickness of its pavement. To determine the bearing capacity, this research used result data from sondir test with Dutch Cone Penetration Test (CPT) and field CBR data used Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP). This research intend to correlate cone resistance (qc) and value of field CBR (DCP). This research located at the construction of Perintis Airport District Pohuwato which has soft soil with relative shallow water table. The result show correlation CBR= 0,14 qc 0,27 qc.
