Abstract

This article aims to explore Puritan ideology in modern Islamic boarding schools by using monotheism material by Shalih ibn Fauzan as teaching material and educational model. Analytical descriptive qualitative research method with research objects at three Khalafi/modern Islamic boarding schools, including the Darunna'im Modern Islamic Boarding School, LaTansa modern cottage, and Darel Azhar's modern cottage. Through document collection techniques, observation, and interviews. The analysis techniques include data reduction, data display, inference, and verification. The research results show that there is a Puritan ideology in Islamic boarding schools. There are at least three typologies of purification: (1) Islamic boarding schools in the Radical Puritan typology, (2) Islamic boarding schools with a modernist Puritan typology, and (3) adherents of accommodationism. Shalih ibn Fauzan's opinion regarding other assumptions regarding the Islamic boarding school typology in the Radical Puritan typology can be seen from the way Padang responds to several religious issues that exist in society. Modernist Puritans can be used as a reference in responding to developments and phenomena that occur in non-rigid societies. Meanwhile, the accommodationist Puritan group is more adaptable and adaptable in responding to various religious traditions. Tauhid education must be comprehensive, including tauhîd rubûbiyah, ulûhiyah, and asmâ' and shifât, because it will form a Muslim character who loves the science of Kauni as has been practiced in the three Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

The zoning system in schools is an admission system that has only been implemented in recent years in Indonesia, especially in Lebak Regency, Banten. This research describes matters related to the problems and implementation of new student admissions (PPDB) with the zoning system in SMA Negeri Rangkas Bitung, Lebak Regency, Banten. This research uses a case approach approach. The data collection methods are through documentation, interviews, and observation. Data analysis through data reduction, then data presentation, conclusion drawing and leverage. The results of the research related to the problems of the New Student Admission (PPDB) zoning system in SMA Negeri Rangkas Bitung, Lebak Regency, Banten were a) The technical implementation of PPDB invited various ideas and chaos; b) the availability of public schools was still uneven; c) policies that prioritized the distance between schools and students' homes; d) the views of the general public about superior and non superior schools; e) Coordination between agencies related to the PPDB zoning system was not effective.ABSTRAKSistem zonasi di sekolah merupakan sistem penerimaan siswa yang baru diterapkan beberapa tahun terakhir di Indonesia, khususnya di Kabupaten Lebak, Banten. Dalam penelitian ini memaparkan hal-hal yang berkaitan dengan permasalahan dan pelaksanaan penerimaan siswa baru (PPDB) dengan sistem zonasi di SMA Negeri Rangkas Bitung Kabaupaten Lebak, Banten. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan pendekatan kasus. Adapun metode pengumpulan data melalui dokumentasi, wawancara, dan observasi. Analisis data melalui reduksi data, kemudian penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan dan pengungkit. Hasil penelitian terkait permasalahan sistem zonasi Penerimaan Siswa Baru (PPDB) di SMA Negeri Rangkas Bitung Kabupaten Lebak, Banten adalah a) Teknis pelaksanaan PPDB mengundang berbagai ide dan kekacauan; b) ketersediaan sekolah umum masih belum merata; c) kebijakan yang mengutamakan jarak antara sekolah dan rumah siswa; d) adanya pandangan dari masyarakat umum tentang sekolah unggulan dan non unggulan; e) Koordinasi antar instansi terkait sistem zonasi PPDB belum efektif.

Abstract

This research aims to review and describe circumcision and polygamy in terms of medical, psychological, historical and phenomenological aspects. In order to be able to make a mapping of the parties involved in the pros and cons of circumcision and polygamy. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method. With library research research methods (library research). Among them are books related to circumcision and polygamy, journals, articles, and other references. The results of the research are that female circumcision is not a religious order, both from the Qur'an and authentic hadith. So it is not obligatory to do it in Islam. Female circumcision is only a tradition, although from a medical point of view it is said to be good, but from a psychological point of view, it is traumatizing for women when viewed from the phenomenological perspective, which is practiced excessively. While polygamy only men are allowed to do it. However, you must carry out the Shari'a that must be fulfilled, such as being able to be firm, having the intention of worship, maintaining the honor of your wife, and not for the lust of having many wives. The cause and effect of polygamy itself contains many benefits for the family, wife, and children, which are examined from the historical, psychological, medical and phenomenological aspects.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengulas dan mendeskripsikan sunat dan poligami dari aspek medis, psikologis, historis, dan fenomenologis. Agar dapat membuat pemetaan pihak-pihak yang terlibat dalam pro dan kontra sunat dan poligami. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Dengan metode penelitian library research (penelitian kepustakaan). Diantaranya buku-buku yang berkaitan dengan khitan dan poligami, jurnal, artikel, dan referensi lainnya. Hasil dari penelitian tersebut adalah bahwa khitan perempuan bukanlah perintah agama, baik dari Al-Qur'an maupun hadits shahih. Sehingga tidak wajib hukumnya untuk dilakukan dalam Islam. Khitan perempuan hanya sebuah tradisi, meskipun dari segi medis dikatakan baik, namun dari segi psikologis menimbulkan trauma bagi perempuan jika dilihat dari perspektif fenomenologi yang dipraktekkan secara berlebihan. Sedangkan poligami hanya pria yang diperbolehkan melakukannya. Namun, harus menjalankan syariat yang harus dipenuhi, seperti harus bisa bersikap tegas, memiliki niat ibadah, menjaga kehormatan istri, dan bukan karena nafsu memiliki banyak istri. Sebab dan akibat dari poligami itu sendiri mengandung banyak manfaat bagi keluarga, istri, dan anak-anak, yang ditinjau dari aspek historis, psikologis, medis, dan fenomenologis.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the application of digital technology in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning and its impact on learning effectiveness. With the development of technology, PAI learning methods have undergone a transformation from a conventional approach to a more interactive digital-based approach. This research uses a descriptive-qualitative approach by analyzing various related literature. The research results show that the use of digital technology, such as learning applications, interactive videos, and e-learning platforms, increases students' interest in learning, deepens understanding of the material, and allows more active interaction between teachers and students. However, challenges such as limited access to technology and the readiness of teaching staff in managing digital learning are still obstacles that need to be overcome. Therefore, to optimize the use of technology in PAI learning, synergy between teachers, schools, parents and the government is needed. Teachers must improve their digital competence, schools need to provide supporting facilities, and the government must design policies that accelerate the integration of technology in the PAI curriculum. Apart from that, regulations regarding digital content used in learning must also be considered so that it remains in accordance with Islamic values.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter Islam membentuk individu yang tangguh dan mulia berdasarkan nilai-nilai tauhid (monoteisme), rasa syukur, kepercayaan, dan etika sosial sebagaimana diajarkan dalam Surah Luqman. Studi ini meneliti penerapan nilai-nilai Surah Luqman dalam merumuskan pendidikan karakter di sebuah pesantren modern sebagai dasar untuk mengembangkan kurikulum praktis yang berakar pada Al-Qur'an. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan dokumentasi, kemudian diproses melalui kondensasi data, presentasi, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan: Sekolah ini memfokuskan pendidikan karakternya pada tauhid dan rasa syukur. Melalui studi agama, dzikir harian, dan teladan dari guru, siswa dibimbing untuk mengembangkan perilaku yang saleh, rasa syukur, dan kerendahan hati. Ketaatan dan pengabdian kepada orang tua ditekankan, selaras dengan prinsip-prinsip iman. Sekolah juga menanamkan nilai-nilai seperti disiplin, kepercayaan, dan kejujuran melalui rutinitas harian dan keterlibatan organisasi. Pendekatan ini menghasilkan siswa yang bermoral baik, mandiri, dan siap menjadi teladan di masyarakat, didukung lebih lanjut oleh praktik-praktik seperti shalat berjamaah, mendorong kebaikan dan mencegah keburukan, kesabaran, dan tanggung jawab. Kesimpulan: Pendidikan karakter membentuk siswa yang religius, mandiri, bertanggung jawab, dan berintegritas yang siap menjadi teladan di masyarakat.

Abstract

Student discipline is influenced by internal factors, environment, religiosity, and effective teacher interpersonal communication, which fosters motivation, role modeling, and supports the development of students' character and spirituality. This study aims to determine the influence of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers’ interpersonal communication style on students' discipline and religious devotion, both simultaneously and partially. This quantitative research used total sampling involving 60 students, with data collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, validity, reliability, MANOVA, and t-tests. The analysis results show that teacher interpersonal communication significantly influences student discipline and religious devotion, with a contribution of 78.9%, while 21.1% is influenced by other factors. Based on the t-test (R²), the effect on discipline was 44.13%, while on religious devotion it was 23.45%. Conclusion: positive interpersonal communication also strengthens students' character and internalization of spiritual values through interactions with religious education teachers.

Abstract

Ulum al-Qur'an is essential for understanding the Qur'an comprehensively, responding to contemporary challenges, and contextualizing its interpretation in light of historical, social, and technological developments. This research explores the Ulum al-Qur'an concept and its relevance in modern Islamic studies. A literature review method examines various primary and secondary sources related to Ulum al-Qur'an. The results show that Ulum al-Qur'an is a collection of sciences that discuss all aspects related to the Qur'an, such as revelation, compilation, recitation, exegesis (tafsir), tajwid, qira’at, abrogation (nasikh-mansukh), and textual criticism. Scholars such as Al-Qaththan, Al-Zarqani, and Ash-Shabuny emphasize the broad scope of these disciplines. In the contemporary context, Ulum al-Qur'an is essential for addressing modern challenges, preserving the text's authenticity, enhancing contextual understanding, and enriching academic Islamic studies. It also encourages a rational approach to interpreting the Qur’an and fosters constructive interfaith dialogue. Conclusion: Ulum al-Qur'an preserves the purity of Islamic teachings, addresses modern challenges, and bridges Islamic tradition with social context through rational and contextual approaches.
