Abstract

Reading is something that is important for students who are able and fluent because reading can develop writing skills and by reading as a tool for children to memorize and give lessons again. This article is the result of research into the teacher's problems in teaching reading and the obstacles that hinder the use of reading methods such as the spelling m ethod, syllable method, word method, global method, alphabetic method and SAS method. This research was conducted with interviews and interactive model analysis techniques according to Miles and Huberman. The role of the mother and the school is of course very much needed in the fluency of reading students, the mother is the first school for her children including in terms of teaching speaking, recognizing letters and numbers and schools are influential in providing facilities and infrastructure for teachers and students such as providing facilities that comfortable and provide media that makes students more interested in learning.

Abstract

This study examines the use of social media by grade VI students at SDN Karawang Wetan I on their learning outcomes. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The subjects of this study were grade VI  students of SDN Karawang Wetan I. The data collection methods consisted of observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis by means of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and suggestions.  The results of this study indicate that the use of social media can affect student learning outcomes. As many as 58% of students use social media and most of them use the TikTok application. The duration of time used by students in using the application is more than one hour. This has an impact on the lack of study time they have.

Abstract

Sistem informasi teknologi terutama digital marketing saat ini menjadi solusi parapelaku usaha terhadap permasahaan rendahnya kinerja pemasaran Usaha Mikro, Kecil dan Menengah. Melalui peningkatan teknologi pemasaran digital untuk diterapkan secara baik guna mendukung kinerja pemasaran UMKM. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman melalui bimbingan pemasaran digital UMKM yang mudah dilakukan oleh para pelaku usaha. Metode pengabdian ini menggunakan metode diskusi dan pendampingan kepada para pelaku usaha. Hasil pelaksanaan pengabdian yang dilakukan adalah memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan pemasaran digital, masih terbatasnya para pelaku usahadalam menerapkan pemasaran digital untuk meningkatkan kinerja pemasaran, pemasaran digital dan fotografi sangat diperlukan oleh para pelaku usaha dalam meningkatkan kinerja pemasaran. Rekomendasi selanjutnya adalah implementasi model pemasaran digital, melakukan pelatihan secara rutin dana terjadwal model pemasaran digital dan aplikasi berbasis internet; melakukan pembimbingan implementasi model pemasaran digital; selanjutnya melakukan evaluasi efektifitas hasil dari implementasi model pemasaran digital.

Abstract

Mathematics plays a crucial role in shaping students' thinking patterns to face daily life challenges. However, many students struggle with solving mathematical story problems, making the low ability of students in solving mathematical story problems a serious concern. This study aims to examine the effect of the role-playing method on students' ability to solve mathematical story problems in the topic of numbers in fifth-grade students at SDN Palumbonsari 1. This research uses a quantitative descriptive experimental approach with a Pretest Post-test Nonquivalent Control Group design. The sample of this study is fifth-grade students at SDN Palumbonsari 1 selected randomly, with class VC as the experimental group (role-playing method) and class VB as the control group (conventional method). The instrument used is an essay test that has been validated and tested on students outside the research sample. Data analysis was performed using normality and homogeneity tests, as well as hypothesis testing with Paired Samples Test. The results of data analysis show that there is a significant difference between the average learning outcomes of students before and after the treatment. Students who received learning with the role-playing method showed a more significant improvement in their ability to solve mathematical story problems compared to students who received conventional learning. In conclusion, the use of the role-playing method in mathematics learning can improve students' ability to solve mathematical story problems. This method makes learning more meaningful, enjoyable, and can increase student engagement in learning.

Abstract

Along with developments in the current era of communication technology, the use of gadgets has penetrated into elementary school-age students, this has caused many concerning phenomena that have an impact on the behavior and speech that children imitate, one of the phenomena caused by content on YouTube social media is related to manners, such as following speech that is not politely spoken. The study aims to describe the influence of YouTube social media impressions that occur in elementary schools in East Karawang District, Karawang Regency using a descriptive qualitative approach research method. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation interviews with field note techniques and questionnaires. The results of this study found that students behave disrespectfully, especially in terms of speech, namely rude speech obtained from watching YouTube social media content that is not good. But on the other hand, the results of this study were found from watching positive YouTube social media, namely content that inspires students to do good such as conducting social donation activities to people in need. Thus, the influence of YouTube social media broadcasts on students' polite behavior is quite influential.

Abstract

Writing is a very important language skill in school. However, there are still many students who need help with writing. This study analyzes learning to write narratives by applying the traditional game of throwing sandals. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The research subjects were 18 elementary school students. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and story-writing skill tests; After that, the data was evaluated using data reduction, data display, and verification methods. The results showed that learning to write narratives using the traditional game "Throw Sandals" impacted student activity, namely an average score of 3.7 and above, and students were enthusiastic about learning. Judging from the student's response to the traditional game of throwing sandals, an average score of 3.8 was obtained, and the average score for students' narrative writing ability was 82.4. These findings conclude that learning to write narratives using the traditional sandal-throwing game method can be successful, and students can easily express ideas from the experience gained. The traditional game of throwing sandals makes children interact with each other and can help shape and maintain a child's social spirit. Traditional games can encourage students' thinking to be more creative and increase self-confidence. Based on the research results, it can have implications for the quality of learning and the introduction of Indonesian culture to students.

Abstract

Many students face challenges in engaging with social studies due to the traditional teaching methods that emphasize memorization rather than active learning. This study aims to explore the application of project-based learning and problem-based learning models in improving social studies learning outcomes in elementary schools, as well as to analyze the impact of student activity levels on their learning outcomes. The study focuses on addressing the issue of low student engagement and its effect on learning performance. The research uses a quantitative approach with a 2x2 factorial experimental design, involving two experimental groups: students learning with the project-based learning model and students learning with the problem-based learning model. Data were collected through essay-type learning outcome tests and questionnaires to measure student activity levels.The results show that the project-based learning model has a positive impact on students' learning outcomes, with an average score higher than that of the problem-based learning model. Additionally, student activity level also affects learning outcomes, with more active students showing better results. Two-way ANOVA testing revealed significant effects of the learning model, student activity, and their interaction on students' social studies learning outcomes. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the project-based learning model is effective in improving student activity and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Science plays a crucial role in arousing students' curiosity about the phenomena around them. However, monotonous learning methods can reduce student participation, which has an impact on low science learning outcomes. This research aims to evaluate the effect of using image media on science learning outcomes, especially material on the human respiratory system, in class V at SDN Palumbosari IV. This research applies a descriptive quantitative approach with a Pretest Post-test Nonquivalent Control Group experimental design. The sample consisted of class V students at SDN Palumbonsari IV who were chosen randomly, with class VA as the conventional learning control group and class VB as the image media experimental group. The research instrument is a multiple choice test that has been validated and tested on participants outside the sample. Data were analyzed using normality, homogeneity and hypothesis testing with the Paired Samples Test. The results of the analysis show significant differences between the average student learning outcomes before and after treatment. Students who receive learning using image media show a more significant increase in science learning outcomes compared to students who take part in conventional learning. In conclusion, the use of image media in science and science learning is effective in improving student learning outcomes, making the learning process more meaningful, enjoyable, and encouraging student activity”.
