Abstract

This research aimed at improving mathematical literacy among vocational high school students. The subject was students in class X. This qualitative research used tests, observation sheets, questionnaires, and interviews. The result shows that there was a limitation in our brain to process complex contents. Therefore, according to cognitive load theory, in the studying process, the teacher should minimize intrinsic cognitive load and stimulate germane cognitive theory, thus improving students' literacy.

Abstract

Indonesia is a drug emergency, yes, this sentence illustrates the current condition of the Indonesian Replubic State. This is caused by rampant drug trafficking and abuse. In Indonesia, data from the National Narcotics Agency of the Republic of Indonesia shows in 2004 that 15% of Indonesia's population was involved in drug abuse (3.2 million) and in 2005 showed that 15,000 people died each year due to drugs (Jakarta Provincial Narcotics Agency, 2009) . The latest data on drug abuse in 2014 has increased by 4 million (BNN, 2015). Do not rule out the possibility of drug abuse will continue to increase in the following years as long as there is no education on the dangers of drug education at the Secondary School level Education is believed to solve the problem of the Indonesian people in order to avoid drug abuse. This belief is strengthened because education is a planned effort to influence others, whether individuals, groups, or the community, so that they do what is expected by education practitioners (Notoatmodjo, 2003: 16). In addition, in RI Law No. 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System, article 1. Explains that: "Education is everything that is done by someone for himself or done by someone else for him, with the aim of bringing him closer to the level of perfection" From the opinion of some experts and based on the Act –Chief The National Education System can overcome drug abuse behavior. While the education chosen by researchers is Physical Education. This consideration was chosen because in the Syllabus of learning in schools in Physical Education subjects there is some material regarding drug abuse itself. In addition to previous considerations, Physical Education not only aims to encourage physical growth, but as Freeman (2007: 27-28) states that physical education uses physical activity to produce overall improvements to the physical, mental and emotional quality of students as one complete unity. Through sports physical education and health it is expected that students become "physically educated people" who not only emphasize motor skills and movement patterns but can maintain health improvement as stated by Metzler (2005: 14) a person can become "Physically educated person" must meet the following standards: (1) demonstrate motor skills and the skills and patterns of motion needed to display various physical activities, (2) demonstrate an understanding of the concepts of motion, principles, strategies and tactics as they apply in learning and performance of various physical activities, (3) participate regularly in physical activities, (4) achieve and maintain improved health and fitness levels, (5) demonstrate personal and social responsibility in the form of respect for self and others in an atmosphere of activity s physical, and (6) values physical activity for health, pleasure, challenges, self-expression, and social interaction. Therefore the author tries to examine implementing a program to prevent drug abuse behavior in physical education. So physical education, sports and health can be one way or a protector to increase knowledge of the importance of preventing drug abuse

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the difference in high learning outcomes between high and low learning motivation, and the difference in low learning outcomes between high and low learning motivation held in SD Negeri Sukaharja 1, Telukjambe Timur District, Karawang Regency. The method used in this research is the comparative method, which is to compare the learning motivation with the learning outcomes of the fifth grade elementary school students. With observation techniques, questionnaires, literature studies, and documentation studies. The results of testing the first hypothesis show that the average score of high learning outcomes with high motivation is 78.86 with a standard deviation of 6.87 higher than the average score of high learning outcomes with low motivation, namely 71.40 with a standard deviation of 2.51. The results of homogeneity testing of the variance of high learning outcomes between high motivation and low motivation. Fcount of 10.96 while Ftable at a significance level of 0.95 (α = 0.05) is 4.88 and a significance level of 0.99 (α = 0.01) is 10.45. This means that Fcount = 10.96> 4.88 = Ftable (0.95; 7; 5) and Fcount = 10.96> 10.45 = Fcount (0.99; 7; 5)., T-test calculation. with the results of t count of 3,971 greater than t table of 2,228 (α = 0.05) and 3,165 (α = 0.01). Then the test results prove that there are differences in high learning outcomes between high motivation and low motivation. So that one of the efforts to maintain the learning outcomes of the fifth grade students of SDN Sukaharja 1 is the high motivation given and the ability of IQ which is quite high and the willingness to learn independently. The second hypothesis testing shows that the average score of low learning outcomes with high motivation is 61.83 with a standard deviation of 2.86 higher than the average score of low learning outcomes with low motivation, which is 58.83 with a standard deviation of 2.40. The results of the homogeneity test of variance for low learning outcomes between high motivation and low motivation, Fcount of 1.42, while Ftable at a significance level of 0.95 (α = 0.05) is 4.48 and a significance level of 0.99 (α = 0.01) is 8.47. This means that Fcount = 1.42 <4.48 = Ftable (0.95; 6; 6) and Fcount = 1.42 <8.47 = Ftable (0.99; 6; 6). Then the test results prove that there is a difference in low learning outcomes between high motivation and low motivation. So that one of the efforts to improve the learning outcomes of the fifth grade students of SDN Sukaharja 1 is by providing intensive motivation and giving more homework.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in student learning activities by using the question and answer method through talaran techniques carried out on grade 6 students of Sukaharja 1 Elementary School, Telukjambe Timur District, Karawang Regency. The research method used is classroom action with observational research techniques, interviews, and tests and documentation. The researcher evaluates the learning process according to the success indicators that have been determined according to the competency standards and basic competencies and compares them with the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM), which is 65. The results of the analysis in the first cycle at the fourth meeting show that the value of students is still below the KKM as many as three participants students, with the lowest score of 51, and the class average was 86.16. In the second cycle, it shows an increase in the value of students at the fourth meeting with the lowest score of 70, and none of the students get a score below the KKM. The class average score has increased to 88.25. The learning activities of students had increased, which occurred in the first cycle obtaining an average of 58.10% to 76.51%. Meanwhile, the interviews conducted in the first cycle compared to the second cycle have different activities. In the first cycle, students still acted indifferently when the teacher explained and asked questions. In the second cycle, all students can respond well. The results showed that the application of the learning method through the memorization technique could increase the activity of grade 6 students in participating in learning at the Sukaharja 1 Elementary School, Telukjambe Timur District, Karawang Regency.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this Community Service activities are aimed at disseminating the increase in the number of professional teachers for credit through the writing of scientific papers, providing the knowledge and understanding of how to write a scientific paper in the journal scientific, and produces scientific papers in the form of the paper/article about education-elementary's.In addition, this Community Service is a vehicle for the study Program PGSD to devote keilmuannya.Target audience Devotion On this society is The primary teachers se-Banyusari sub district of Falkirk which is the teacher of Civil Servants and Non-Civil Servants totalling 20 people from the planned 32 people.This activity is a method of training for 2 days of writing scientific papers.The implementation is done by the training, using the method of lecture with presentation techniques, followed by a question and answer discussions and exercises as a form of scientific paper-writing workshop activities as betuk professional development of teachers.The results of the implementation of the community service Society showed still lack of success because the participants are present just as many as 20 men primary school teachers from the plan of 32 people.Nevertheless, the Community Service activities whose primary purpose is to provide an understanding of writing scientific papers.It can be seen from his enthusiasm the primary teachers in following the whole training activities, both in the granting of material.The teachers also show enthusiasm when conducting discussions.Keyword: Implementation Of Sundanese, Elementary StudentsAbstrak: Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat merupakan salah satu bentuk pelaksanaan Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi yang ditujukan agar dosen dan mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar memiliki keterampilan bermasyarakat. Khalayak  sasaran  dari  pengabdian  ini  adalah  siswa/siswi  di  desa Karangjaya. Kegiatan pengabdian  telah  dilaksanakan  pada  tanggal  4-6 Agustus yang  bertempat  di desa Karangjaya Kecamatan Pedes Kabupaten Karawang, dengan diikuti oleh 30 orang peserta siswa/siswi  SD. Dari  hasil  evaluasi  diperoleh  hasil  dan  manfaat  dari  kegiatan  pengabdian  ini diantaranya adalah meningkatkan motivasi belajar bahasa daerah yaitu basa sunda, dan keterampilan siswa dalam menulis dan membaca aksara sunda serta menembangkan pupuh-pupuh yang ada pada pelajaran bahasa sunda. Kegiatan pengabdian  ini  berjalan  dengan  lancar,  karena  berbagai  pendukung  terutama  partisipasi peserta yang cukup antusias dan berpartisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan penataan kelompok belajar ini. Kegiatan penataan  ini  hendaknya  dilakukan  pada  sasaran  yang  lebih  luas  dan  materinya dapat dikembangkan lagi sehingga siswa/siswi lebih banyak mendapatkan materi tentang bahasa daerah yaitu bahasa sunda. Tujuan  kegiatan  pengabdian  kepada  masyarakat  ini,  yang  dilaksanakan melalui kegiatan penataan kelompok belajar adalah memotivasi siswa/siswi agar bersemangat belajar dan belajar melestarikan bahasa sunda, membekali siswa/sisi pengetahuan bahasa sunda dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran yang mengasikan, membekali siswa/siswi cara menembangkan pupuh dengan nada yang sesuai, membekali siswa/siswi menulis dan membaca aksara sunda dengan baik dan benar. Selain itu, Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat ini merupakan wahana bagi Program Studi PGSD untuk mengabdikan keilmuannya. Kata Kunci: Implementasi Bahasa Sunda, Siswa SD

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Gugus II Kecamatan Lemahabang, Kabupaten Karawang, dan penelitian di fokuskan pada siswa kelas V Tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh media gambar terhadap hasil belajar IPA. Penelitian ini di latarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa terutama pada pelajaran IPA. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah penelitian semu (quasi eksperimen). Dengan Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Populasi yang digunakan adalah SDN yang berada di Gugus II Kecamatan Lemahabang, yang terdiri dari 10 SD dan di fokuskan pada kelas V di Gugus II Kecamatan Lemahabang pada tahun 2018/2019, dengan sampel penelitian kelas V SDN Lemahabang III sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas V SDN Lemahabang V sebagai kelas kontrol. Intrumen tes yang digunakan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar IPA adalah dengan menggunakan tes berbentuk pilihan ganda. Hasil analisis data pada pretest kelas eksperimen nilai yang didapat masih rendah nilai yang diperoleh sebesar 24,00, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol adalah 25,83. Setelah dilakukan treatment pembelajaran menggunakan media gambar, hasil analisis pada posttest kelas eksperimen diperoleh bahwa hasil belajar IPA meningkat dengan rata-rata 73,67, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol diperoleh nilai rata-rata 67,00. Berdasarkan uji t yang dilakukan diperoleh sig (2-tailed) < 0.05 yang artinya terdapat perbedaan terhadap hasil belajar IPA. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pengaruh media gambar terhadap hasil belajar IPA pada siswa kelas V di Sekolah Dasar pada tahun pelajaran 2018/2019.

Abstract

Abstrak Pendidikan matematika di Indonesia berkembang dengan pesat sejalan dengan perkembangan pendidikan matematika dunia. Perubahan-perubahan yang terjadi dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas, dipengaruhi adanya tuntutan sesuai perkembangan teknologi dan ilmu pengetahuan juga diawali adanya perubahan pandangan tentang hakekat matematika serta pembelajarannya. Perubahan pandangan tentang trend hakekat matematika dapat mendorong terjadinya perubahan substansi kurikulum. Sementara itu perubahan pandangan tentang pembelajaran matematika sangat dipengaruhi oleh terjadinya perkembangan mengenai teori belajar baik yang bersifat umum maupun yang khusus berkaitan dengan belajar matematika. Untuk mengetahui ada nya perubahan tersebut maka di butuhkan evaluasi untuk mengukurnya. Evaluasi yang bisa digunakan untuk mengukur tingkt berpikir rendah dan tingkat berfikir tinggi, namun ada evaluasi yang dilakukan untuk mengukur pembelajaran matematika secara umum, yaitu dengan TIMMS. Abstract: Mathematics education in Indonesia is growing rapidly in line with the development of mathematics education world. Changes that occur in the learning process in the classroom, influenced by the demands according to the development of technology and science also began with a change in views about the nature of mathematics and learning. Changes in views about the trend of the nature of mathematics can encourage changes in the substance of the curriculum. Meanwhile, changes in views about learning mathematics are strongly influenced by the development of learning theories both general and specifically related to learning mathematics. To find out the existence of these changes, an evaluation is needed to measure them. Evaluation can be used to measure low thinking levels and high levels of thinking, but there are evaluations conducted to measure mathematics learning in general, namely TIMMS. Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the Koopertatif Type Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) model on the mathematical understanding capabilities of elementary school students. This research was conducted at SDN Warung Bambu II East Karawang Sub-District of Karawang Regency. This research is a type of quantitative research. In this study, a sample of 30 people using Simple Random Sampling technique and divided into two groups, namely the experiment group and the control group. The research instruments used are multiple choice. The test is used to measure mathematical comprehension capabilities. The data analysis technique used is statistical calculation. The results of the multiple choice question test validity test in mathematics subjects were obtained 20 items of instruments that were declared valid from 30 instruments tested. The result of the rehab was a value of 0.97. Hypothetical test results, with a degree of signifiability between the Type Two Stay Two Stray cooperative model and the results of mathematical understanding capabilities. It is obtained thitung = 0.514 > ttabel 4,409) with sig = 0.000 > 0.05 and n = 30 indicates that the hypothesis is rejected. From the results of this study can be concluded that there is a perngaruh mathematical understanding capability that uses the Cooperative Model Type Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS).

Abstract

This current study aims to document the challenges encountered by children in adapting to the learning applications in online learning. A literature study is used to answer the research question. The data was obtained from a systematic search in the Google scholar. From the search, 23 articles from 2000 – 2021 were gathered as the research data. To analyze the data, a content analysis was implemented. The findings revealed that the children met the difficulties because they tend to have short concentration span and the limitation of learning device and signal stability. Moreover, less parents’ control causes young learners disoriented while using the applications. Surprisingly, the students did not face hindrance in relation to the applications use. Most of them adapted quite easily in using the applications. This implies that children nowadays are very adaptive towards technology and are easier to learn through diverse platforms in online learning. Limitations and future recommendations are also presented.
