Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of fine motor skills in group B children at TK Cempaka Glantangan, located in Tempurejo District, Jember Regency, through Ecoprint batik-making activities. The type of research used in this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of this study were group B students at TK Cempaka Glantangan, totaling 29 children, consisting of 7 boys and 22 girls. The results of the study showed that the implementation of Ecoprint batik-making activities in cycle I achieved a percentage of 41.37%, which falls under the "Starting to Develop" (MB) category. In cycle II, the implementation of Ecoprint batik-making activities increased significantly, reaching 89.65%, and fell into the "Developing as Expected" (BSH) category. Based on the final results, it can be concluded that the Ecoprint batik-making activity has a positive impact on the improvement of fine motor skills in young children. These improvements include better hand coordination, finger dexterity, and focus during creative tasks. Thus, Ecoprint batik-making can be an effective and engaging learning method that supports the development of fine motor skills in early childhood education, especially for group B students at TK Cempaka Glantangan in Tempurejo District, Jember Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to improve fine motor skills in early childhood through collage activities using banana stems. The researcher employed classroom action research (CAR) using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which involves four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and evaluation. The research was conducted at Al Hidayah IX Kindergarten in Pondokrejo, Tempurejo, Jember, involving 30 students from group B. Data collection techniques included observation and documentation. The results showed that in the pre-cycle, 9 children (30%) achieved the expected developmental level. In the first cycle, 14 children (47%) reached this level, and in the second cycle, the number increased to 25 children (83%). Based on these findings, it can be concluded that collage activities using banana stems effectively enhance the fine motor skills of early childhood students, as evidenced by the results obtained at Al Hidayah IX Kindergarten in Pondokrejo, Tempurejo, Jember.

Abstract

Purpose – The research background relates to the application of modeling techniques to improve the disciplinary character of early childhood children at Kartini II Kindergarten PGRI Rambipuji Jember. This is based on the results of observations before the research, the level of discipline of group A students has not developed well. Some disciplinary characteristics that have not developed well include throwing trash in the right place and entering class on time, so efforts are needed to encourage the development of children's disciplinary character to improve well. One learning model that can be used to develop students' disciplined character is modeling techniques. The aim of the research is how the application of modeling techniques can improve the disciplined character of children in group A TK Kartini II PGRI Rambipuji Jember.Method – This research is classroom action research, with the research instrument in the form of an observation sheet with 3 observed indicators related to students' disciplinary character. Analysis of research data uses percentage techniques, with the criterion of individual student completeness getting a minimum of 3 stars on each indicator observed. As for the classical completion criteria, if 80 percent of students complete each indicator observed.Findings – The results of classroom action research regarding the application of modeling techniques in improving the disciplinary character of class A students, it can be concluded that the criteria for research completeness can be achieved. The details of the research results in the pre-cycle completeness reached 37 percent, in the first cycle activities it reached 56 percent, and in the second cycle the level of completeness reached 87 percent. Research Implications – Based on the findings from two cycles of classroom action research, the use of modeling techniques can effectively enhance the discipline character of class A students at Kartini II.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of microlearning-based instructional media in improving the language literacy skills of elementary school students. The microlearning media developed consists of short videos using a chunk-based approach that includes pre-learning, core, and post-learning activities. The study employed the research and development with ADDIE model, consisting of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The instruments used included surveys, interviews, and observations, while data analysis techniques involved quantitative analysis (pretest and posttest) and qualitative analysis from interviews and observations.  Validation was carried out by media and education experts, followed by revisions based on the feedback provided. The implementation involved 60 fourth and fifth-grade students at elementary schools for Indonesian language lessons. Evaluation results showed an average increase of 34.35% in students' language literacy skills after using the media. Students also gave positive feedback on the clarity and presentation of the materials through the microlearning videos. Based on these results, microlearning media can be considered an effective tool for improving students' language literacy, reading skills, reading comprehension, writing skills, vocabulary mastery, and sentence construction.

Abstract

one group of mentally retarded children whose level of intelligence is still mild and still has the ability to learn mathematics has the possibility of obtaining academic education up to elementary grades four or five and can learn simple skills that discuss improving mathematical results through the application of the Plane Geometry Exploration Method in mentally retarded children Mild Class V at SLB-IT YTPA Kalisat Jember, this classroom action research aims to describe the improvement in learning outcomes in mathematics through the application of the plane geometry exploration method to mild mentally retarded children of class V at SLB-IT YTPA Kalisat. The research subjects were children with mild mental retardation class V at SLB-IT YTPA Kalisat District. Jember, totaling 10 students. To facilitate data collection in this study the method used is the science subject test method. Data The data analysis technique used in this PTK is a quantitative descriptive analysis technique. The results of classroom action research in order to improve the quality of learning in mild mental retardation can be discussed. First, in general, the increasing learning outcomes of students in the above categories from cycle to cycle indicate the criteria for improving the quality of learning in this classroom action research. Second, improving the quality of learning geometric shapes, which in this case is characterized by an increase in student learning outcomes and student participation in class; began to become visible from before cycle to cycle I, and the improvement in the quality of learning from cycle I to cycle II was even more evident. Where in cycle II the acquisition of student learning outcomes all reached the criteria. Thus it can be concluded, that there was an increase in learning outcomes with the plane geometry exploration method in mathematics
