Abstract

Leadership plays a privotal role in an organization or institution. Leadership does not only play a role in directing and organizing the organization members’ potentials in order to achieve its objectives or goals set out by the organization. In addition, the leadership also plays a key role in arranging the rythm of theorganization’s movement. The significance of leadership can aslo be found in the world of pesantren. As an organization, educational succes rate in pesantren is also affected by types, kinds and styles of leadership. This paper offers concept of transformational leadership as a means of advancing pesantrens. Kepemimpinan memegang peranan sangat penting dalamsebuah organisasi atau institusi. Kepemimpinan tidak hanya berperan dalam mengarahkan dan mengorganisir potensi-potensi yang dimiliki oleh anggota organisasi yang dipimpinnya untuk meraih cita-cita atau tujuan yang telah dirumuskan bersama, akan tetapi lebih dari itu, kepemimpinan juga memegang peranan kunci dalam mengatur ritme gerak organisasi. Urgensi kepemimpinan juga berlaku dalam duniapesantren. Layaknya sebuah organisasi, tingkat keberhasilanpendidikan di pesantren sangat dipengaruhi oleh tipe, jenis, dan gaya kepemimpinannya. Tulisan ini menawarkan konsep kepemimpinan transformasional sebagai media untuk memajukan pesantren.

Abstract

 profession means an occupation that requires a qualification of education, skill, and standardization. As well, a profession also requires social responsibility. Therefore, a teacher as a professional worker has to have a qualification of education so that he can properly does his/her duty and function. In other words, a professional teacher is one that well educated and trained on his/her subject. In detail, a teacher (to some extent including a lecturer) must have proper education concerning on his/her subject, good academic capability, faith and piety, good character, and good emotional and social intelligence. .

Abstract

Abstract: The Ikhwan al-Shafa is an organization established by a group of people (mujtahidin) consisting of philosophers, who focused their attention on the field of da'wah and education, that developed at the end of the second century Hijrah in the city of Basra, Iraq. It is a discussion and teaching forum. In general, its emergence is motivated by concerns about the implementation of Islamic teachings that have been contaminated by teachings from outside Islam at that time, and to revive love for science among Muslims. They compiled 51 agreements known as the "Rasail Ikhwan al-Shafa" (Ikhwan al-Shafa agreement). The background of Rasail Ikhwan al-Shafa writing came from dissatisfaction with the implementation of the Islamic education and lifestyle at that time. This organization viewed education with a rational and empirical view, or a combination of intellectual and factual views. They viewed science as a description of something that could be known in nature, the knowledge produced by human thought occurs because it receives information materials sent by the five senses. Some of the Ikhwan al-Shafa's concepts or thoughts about education have an urgent relevance to education that is applied in the current postmodern era. Whether it's how to get knowledge, teacher competency standards, goals, curriculum and methods that are used. Keywords: Concept, Education, Ikhwanas-Shafa, Relevance, Postmodern.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to analyze the patterns of application of the humanistic learning model, specifically within the context of teaching Islamic Religious Education (PAI). The research was conducted at Walisongo Kembaran Islamic Junior High School and falls under the category of field research. In this research, the data encompasses the application of the humanism learning model in the context of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at Walisongo Kembaran Islamic Junior High School. The sources of data for this study originate from both the teachers and students associated with Walisongo Kembaran Islamic Junior High School. The data collection technique employed in this research involves observation, interviews, and documentation. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique utilizes a descriptive-qualitative approach through three steps: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. As a result, the implementation of the humanistic learning model in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at Walisongo Kembaran Islamic Junior High School, using methods such as lectures, question and answer sessions, problem-solving, and discussions, has been aligned with and produced values in educational humanism. These values include the creation of an enjoyable learning atmosphere, the principle of developing students' potential, the principle of respecting opinions, fostering creativity, establishing connections with real-life situations, and acknowledging the freedom to make efforts. The learning model is based on the principles of fulfilling the desire to learn, meaningful learning, learning without punishment, and learning and change.

Abstract

The importance of the role of teachers as agents of change and understanding the relationship between the level of student independence and the quality of religious teachers in schools. However, in fact, there are differences between expectations and reality on the ground, religious education has decreased among students. So, it is necessary to carry out research with the aim of finding out the relationship between the level of student independence and the quality of Islamic education teachers (IET) as murabbi. This research method uses a quantitative approach with a questionnaire as the main research instrument. Respondents consisted of 554 IET primary and secondary school teachers in Indonesia, who were selected using a multistage cluster sampling technique. Data collection techniques were through structured questionnaires which were analyzed using SPSS Version 25.0. The data analysis technique uses SPSS Version 25.0 to gain meaningful insight from the IET response. As a result, it was found that there was a positive correlation between the level of student independence and the quality of IET Islamic education teachers as murabbi. In conclusion, it is important to pay attention to the level of student independence in improving the quality of religious teacher teaching. The research implications have an impact on the development of religious education in primary and secondary schools.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of IT-based audiovisual media in improving learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). Using meta-analysis techniques, seven studies were analyzed, each meeting specific criteria such as publication within the past decade and a focus on Islamic education. The data analysis utilized the JASP statistical application, and additional information was collected via questionnaires distributed to 38 educators and 14 students. The results demonstrate that IT-based audiovisual media significantly enhance student learning outcomes, with an average effect size of 0.959, categorized as large. The findings reveal that commonly used media include PowerPoint, digital videos, and educational platforms like Google Classroom. While educators and students show moderate familiarity with IT-based media, their adoption remains inconsistent, with only 52.6% of educators frequently utilizing these tools. This research underscores the importance of integrating IT-based audiovisual media to foster active learning and improve educational quality in Islamic education. It highlights the need for further training and support for educators to maximize the potential of technological innovations in teaching. Future studies are recommended to explore the long-term impact of IT-based media on student engagement and academic performance across diverse educational contexts.

Abstract

The learning model is an important component in learning because an effective learning model will greatly assist in the learning process to achieve learning objectives, unfortunately it is not uncommon for the model applied in learning to appear monotonous and uniform without considering the characteristics of students, as an innovation, the differentiated learning model is present as a more democratic learning model because it considers the characteristics and needs of students so that learning runs interestingly and effectively. This study was conducted with the aim of finding out how the Implementation of the Differentiated Learning Model in Islamic Religious Education and Character Education Subjects at SMK Negeri 1 Bojongsari Purbalingga. This study is a type of field research that is compiled using qualitative methods, to collect data researchers use interview, observation and documentation methods. While the method for analyzing data uses data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the research that has been carried out show that the differentiated learning model implemented in Islamic Religious Education and Character Education subjects at SMK Negeri 1 Bojongsari Purbalingga through the preparation stage, implementation stage, and evaluation stage. The preparation stage, namely the teacher has a role as a designer, facilitator and motivator. While the implementation stage is divided into three activities, namely preliminary, core and closing activities. And the final stage is the evaluation stage to determine the development of student learning which consists of formative and summative tests.

Abstract

The existence of madrasah (Islamic school) management development is essential in Indonesia. Research findings in 2017 show the pattern of educational expansion carried out by madrasahs in each region and education unit. Madrasahs inflate their roles and functions as a means of quality improvement. The expansion can be seen in the progressing number of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) in Banyumas, reaching a figure of 182. The group MI divided into 179 private institutions and three public ones. The madrasah spread in 27 sub-districts of Banyumas District. Problems faced by MTs in Banyumas in developing their potentials are related to global competencies. The issues have become the homework for madrasah managers who oversee quality excellence. This paper will discuss three featured MIs in Banyumas in relation to the contestation of global competencies in Islamic education management. The three madrasahs are the State Madrasah Ibtidaiyah number 1 Banyumas (MI Negeri 1 Banyumas) as a Distinguished and Islamic School; MI Ma’arif NU Pageraji as a School of Champions; and MI Muhammadiyah Karanglewas Kidul as a School of Quality and Character.
