Abstract

This research aims to analyze the needs for developing a board game as a learning medium to to enhance the speaking skills of third-grade elementary school students. Speaking is a crucial language skill that supports communication, confidence, and idea expression. However, many students still struggle to speak fluently and confidently, especially especially in storytelling. A fun and interactive learning medium is needed to address this issue, in line with students' cognitive development. This qualitative descriptive study involved interviews, observations, and questionnaires with teachers and students in a public elementary school. The findings reveal a lack of varied and engaging media for speaking activities. Students show strong interest in game-based learning, especially when it includes local cultural content and progressive challenge levels. The results indicate that a well-designed board game can effectively encourage student participation and improve their speaking abilities. This analysis will serve as the foundation for developing a board game prototype for third grade learners’ needs.

Abstract

Indonesian language instruction in elementary schools aims to improve students' oral and written communication. Indonesian serves as a primary tool for students to hone their language skills correctly and effectively. Reading skills in elementary school are divided into two phases: initial reading (lower grades) and further reading (upper grades). Initial reading skills influence students' readiness before entering the next learning stage. However, second-grade elementary school students often face difficulties in developing initial reading and writing skills. Factors such as socio-economic background, gender, and teaching methods used by teachers can affect the success of literacy programs. By considering these factors, we can improve students' literacy skills at the beginning level.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Revolusi industri 5.0 adalah revolusi industri yang berbasis manusia dan mempunyai tujuan memanfaatkan kreativitas para ahli yang bekerja sama dengan mesin yang efisien, cerdas, dan akurat, guna memperoleh solusi manufaktur yang hemat sumber daya dan sesuai preferensi pengguna. Generasi ahli tersebut dapat dipersiapkan sejak dini. Dalam konteks pendidikan dasar, khususnya pembelajaran menulis narasi dengan berdasarkan pemikiran kreatif, nilai-nilai Industri 5.0 seperti kreativitas, personalisasi, dan integrasi teknologi menjadi relevan untuk diterapkan. Menggunakan metode kajian literatur, penelitian ini menganalisis pemikiran kreatif dalam menulis teks narasi dan potensi integrasi konsep industri 5.0. Subjek dan Metode: Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah literature review dengan menelaah sejumlah artikel ilmiah, buku, dan laporan penelitian yang relevan dalam kurun waktu 10 tahun terakhir. Literatur dikumpulkan melalui database seperti Google Scholar dan ScienceDirect dengan menggunakan kata kunci "creative thinking", "narrative writing", dan "Industry 5.0". Analisis dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif untuk mengidentifikasi tren, dan pendekatan dalam pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kreatif melalui penulisan narasi pada jenjang sekolah dasar. Hasil: Menulis narasi dapat melatih kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan memungkinkan penggunaan teknologi dengan cara yang bermanfaat. Misalnya, penggunaan AI, aplikasi cerita digital, desain karakter, dan pemanfaatan data minat siswa. Pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa seperti pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan berbasis proyek juga memberikan keleluasaan dalam menggabungkan kreativitas, seni dan teknologi. Kesimpulan: Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pemanfaatan pembelajaran menulis teks narasi sebagai sarana pengembangan berpikir kreatif dengan mengintegrasikan konsep industri 5.0

Abstract

Kemampuan membaca pemahaman merupakan keterampilan penting yang harus dimiliki siswa sekolah dasar untuk menunjang keberhasilan belajar di berbagai mata pelajaran. Namun, hasil observasi dan tes tertulis di SDN Rawa Badak Utara 03 menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas III masih mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami isi bacaan, menentukan ide pokok, dan mengungkapkan pendapat pribadi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC). Penelitian menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis & McTaggart dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 32 siswa kelas III, yang terdiri atas 18 siswa laki-laki dan 14 siswa perempuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan membaca siswa, yaitu pada siklus I sebanyak 19 siswa (59,37%) mencapai ketuntasan, dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 28 siswa (87,5%). Dengan demikian, penerapan model CIRC terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas III.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the benefits of interactive digital learning media in the form of Canva to improve the poetry writing skills of Grade IV elementary school students. Learning media is an important part of the teaching and learning process. Canva is one of the interactive learning media tools that can enhance poetry reading skills in Grade IV students. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study technique. The data collection technique used is literature review, conducted by searching for relevant and appropriate scientific articles related to the research topic. A total of 7 articles were cited, sourced from accredited journals such as SINTA and Garuda, within the last 5 years (2020–2025).

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology necessitates innovation in the learning process, one of which involves the utilization of Augmented Reality (AR) as an interactive learning medium. This research aims to investigate the influence of Augmented Reality utilization on students' mathematics learning motivation and outcomes in Class V of SD Kummaru Tangerang, employing both partial and simultaneous approaches. This quantitative research employs the Augmented Reality learning method, with a total sample of Class V students from SD Kummaru Tangerang, comprising 34 students, subdivided into respondents. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires and documentation, followed by descriptive analysis employing SPSS version 26. The analytical techniques employed include validity and reliability tests, normality tests, multicollinearity tests, correlation tests, and linear regression. The research findings demonstrate that the Augmented Reality variable exerts a significant positive influence on students' mathematics learning motivation. Students' learning motivation also demonstrates a significant positive influence on mathematics learning outcomes. Furthermore, the regression test results indicate that the implementation of Augmented Reality and learning motivation simultaneously provide a significant contribution to mathematics learning outcomes, accounting for a determinant contribution of 59.7%. Consequently, it can be concluded that enhancing students' mathematics learning outcomes must consider the important role of Augmented Reality media and learning motivation. This research provides an alternative strategy for improving the quality of mathematics education in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the correlation, either partially or simultaneously, of the students’ sentence structure mastery (X1) and critical thinking (X2) towards their expository writing skills (Y). The research was conducted at SDN Wilayah Binaan I Makassar, East Jakarta, for the academic year of 2019/2020. This study was a quantitative approach with a written test survey method that applied correlational techniques (connectedness). The study took the samples through cluster random sampling technique. The results of the analysis showed that (1) there was a strong correlation of the students’ sentence structure mastery and expository writing skills; (2) there was a strong correlation of the students’ critical thinking skills and expository writing skills; and (3) there was a very strong correlation of the students’ sentence structure mastery and critical thinking skills towards their expository writing skills.
