Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar siswa melalui metode Learning Start With A Question (LSQ). Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimental dengan one group pretest posttest design. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik simple random sampling, yang kemudian diperoleh kelas XI MIA 2.1 sebagai sampel. Peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif diketahui dari nilai rata-rata pretest dan posttes siswa, sedangkan peningkatan minat diketahui dari skor rata-rata angket yang diberikan sebelum dan setelah pembelajaran. Uji yang digunakan untuk mengetahui peningkatan minat dan hasil belajar siswa adalah uji gain. Analisis uji gain terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa diperoleh peningkatan (g) sebesar 0,455 dan minat siswa terjadi peningkatan (g) sebesar 0,24. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode pembelajaran Learning Start With A Question dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar fisika. The research purpose to improve understanding of the concept and interest in class X student subjects uniform circular motion through the application of contextual approach to media-assisted virtual simulation. The research method using experimental study consisted of two classes X.5 as experimental class and X.2 as the control class. The final results obtained in the analysis of experimental class average values ​​obtained post-test 76.53 of the pre-test 48.33 with a gain of 0.55. In the control group gained an average value of the post-test 67.78 of the pre-test 47.64 with a gain of 0.38. Analysis of student interest obtaining experimental class average 82.59% while the control class is 62.04%. The results showed that the application of contextual learning media-assisted virtual simulation effectively improve the understanding of the concept and interest in class X student Regular Circular Motion.

Abstract

Diagnosis terhadap kesulitan belajar siswa perlu diketahui sedini mungkin agar siswa tidak mengalami kesalahan dalam memahami pengetahuan selanjutnya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Developement) yang menghasilkan produk berupa e-diagnostic test. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kelayakan dan keefektifan produk, serta mengetahui profil pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi fluida statis berdasarkan implementasi produk. Penelitian ini diawali dengan pengembangan instrumen dan media, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji kelayakan dan keefektifan produk, serta analisis profil pemahaman konsep siswa. Uji kelayakan produk menggunakan judgement expert. Uji keefektifan produk menggunakan korelasi nilai ulangan harian dan nilai ­e-diagnostic test siswa. Analisis profil pemahaman konsep siswa menggunakan kombinasi jawaban siswa pada e-diagnostic test. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa e-diagnostic test yang dikembangkan memiliki persentase kelayakan yang tinggi ( >80%) dan korelasi nilai yang tinggi (0,86). Hasil analisis profil pemahaman konsep siswa menunjukkan pemahaman konsep siswa beragam, terdiri dari pemahaman utuh, pemahaman sebagian, dan tidak paham. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut maka disimpulkan bahwa e-diagnostic test yang dikembangkan layak, efektif, dan dapat menggambarkan profil pemahaman konsep siswa. Diagnosis of students’ learning difficulties needs to be known as soon as possible so that students do not experience an error in understanding the subsequent knowledge. This research was Research and Development that produced e-diagnostic test product. The purpose of this research was to know the properness and effectiveness of the product, and to know the profile of students’ concept understanding in static fluid based on the product implementation. This research was started by the development of instruments and media, continued with the properness and effectiveness test of the product, and analyze the profile of students’ concept understanding. The product properness test used judgement experts. The product effectiveness test used the correlation between daily test scores and students’ e-diagnostic test scores. The profile of students’ concept understanding used analysis students’ answer combination of the e-diagnostic test. Study result showed that the e-diagnostic test that was developed had high proper percentage ( >80%) and high scores correlation (0,86). Analyze result of students’ concept understanding profile showed that students’ understanding was varied consisted of whole relational understanding, instrumental understanding, and misunderstanding. Based on the research result above, it was concluded that the developed e-diagnostic test was proper, effective, and can describe the profile of students’ concept understanding.

Abstract

      Astronomi merupakan cabang ilmu yang mempelajari benda-benda langit di luar atmosfer bumi. Materi astronomi tidak dapat dipelajari secara langsung karena tidak dapat dihadirkan di dalam kelas. Melalui media pembelajaran diharapkan fenomena-fenomena alam yang berhubungan dengan peristiwa astronomi dapat dijelaskan kembali dengan lebih menarik. Produk dari penelitian ini, salah satunya dengan dikembangkanya program komputer berupa visual novel pada materi astronomi subbab bintang, tata surya, dan lubang hitam menggunakan Ren’Py Launcher. Media pembelajaran berupa cerita bergambar yang di dalamnya menjelaskan mengenai materi astronomi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan berupa linear sequential model 4D (Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate). Media divalidasi oleh pakar media dan pakar materi. Pengambilan data dilakukan melalui metode angket dengan instrumen meliputi angket uji kelayakan media, angket uji kelayakan materi, dan angket responden mahasiswa. Pengolahan data hasil angket menggunakan metode penskoran dengan Skala Likert. Hasil pengolahan data pengujian kelayakan oleh pakar media menunjukkan penilaian baik demikian pula pada pengujian oleh pakar materi dengan perolehan skor sebesar 81,43% dan 86,43%. Hasil yang ditunjukkan oleh angket responden mahasiswa menunjukkan hasil baik dengan persentase 77,0%. Media pembelajaran selanjutnya disebarkan melalui internet menggunakan layanan Cloud Service Google Drive.

Abstract

Pada saat ini para pendidik sudah mulai mendapatkan akses untuk menggunakan berbagai macam teknologi guna meningkatkan efektivitas proses belajar dan mengajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan bahan ajar inkuiri berbasis web dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dan ke-tuntasan belajar siswa pada materi Fisika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen, yang meliputi tahap pretest, pembelajaran, dan tahap posttest. Pengolahan data dengan menggunakan analisis uji gain dan uji ketuntasan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan pemahaman kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibanding-kan kelas kontrol (0,484 > 0,250). Hasil persentase ketuntasan belajar kelas eksperimen mencapai 85,29 % dan dikatakan tuntas secara klasikal. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran fisika dengan bahan ajar inkuiri berbasis web efektif digunakan pada siswa SMA kelas X.

Abstract

The aims of the research are describing physic story book characteristics, testing suitability, effectiveness, and readability of physics story book. The research using research and development (R&D) with media expert, material expert, and students as research respondents. The characteristics of story book is developed as follows: (a) story book is arranged by two substances (Intrinsic and Extrinsic), (b) how the story book present are very close with reader’s life and not act like a teacher, (c) the story book is arranged with interesting and simple illustration, (d) the story book is assembled with anatomical book which are proper for junior high school students. The result of analytical suitability test of story book by media expert are obtained 78% with suitable criteria, analytical suitability test of physic story book by material expert are obtained 95% with very suitable category. All of the suitability result of the physic story book are obtained 84% with suitable category. The counting result of the effectiveness from the story book are 86%  with high criteria. The physics story book which has been arranged obtaining readability 62% meant the physics story book have readability that easy to comprehend. Based on the result of the research, this story book are suitable to be used as media supplement for physics learning.

Abstract

Measurements with using  micrometer and vernier caliper is one of the subject taught in high school level. The problem faced is the small size of the tool making it difficult for students when the teacher demonstrates the tools. The solution to solve this problem is by develop a learning media with the use of Construct 2 software. The development of this media follows the 4D model which consists of 4 stages of development that is defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. Validation test by experts and feasibility questionnaires by users of teachers and students have been done to determine the feasibility of the learning media. Aspects assessed by the expert is the aspect of media feasibility in terms of visual communication design, software engineering aspects and aspect in term of learning contents. The media feasibility test by users is done in SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Magelang and SMAN 1 Pecangaan Jepara. The data obtained show that the media created have very good categories in terms of visual communication design and learning contens, as well as good categories in terms of software engineering aspects. The media created are also rated very well by students and teachers.

Abstract

The development of science and technology encourages various reform efforts in the learning process. Meanwhile, teachers are required to be able to utilize information and communication technology for self-development. Android is one of the most popular operating systems today. The purpose of this research is to make android instructional media that has the appropriate characteristics so that it is suitable for high school students. The development of this medium follows the Borg and Gall groove that has been simplified by the Center for Policy Research and Innovation consisting of 4 stages of needs analysis, initial design, validation and revision, small-scale and revised trials. In the development study, the learning medium has been validated by an expert validator with 77.53% results or is eligible to use. Trial program conducted by students at 2nd Muhammadiyah Senior High School at Magelang city with a result of 68.82% or eligible to use. Research data collection method used is observations, questionnaires and documentation. Based on data analysis then in this study can be concluded android learning media on parabolic motion material can be used as alternative learning resources with offline characteristics, practice questions and android operating system specifications minimum 5.0.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students’ activities and to determine more effective treatment for improving the concepts achievement between the guided inquiry through real experimental activity or virtual lab activity. This study was a pre-experiment with one group pretest-posttest type. Sampling technique using a purposive sampling. Class experiment 1 was taught by guided inquiry learning through real experiment activities and class experiment 2 was taught by guided inquiry learning through virtual lab activities. Data were collected using test and observation method. The value of experiment class 1 (3,71)> of class experiment 2 (2,10), it means that guided inquiry learning through real experiment activity more effective to improve the concepts achievement of students than virtual lab activity. The gain test  of the students' activity development of experiment class 1 was 0,37 (medium) and experiment class 2 was 0,31 (medium), it means that real experiment and virtual lab activities were effective to develop students’ activities.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui proses pengembangan multimedia pembelajaran fisika berbasis scratch dan mengetahui kelayakan media tersebut. Proses pengembangan media ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan 4D Models (define, design, development, dissemination). Subjek penelitian ini adalah validator materi, validator media, siswa kelas XII SMA Negeri 1 Pekalongan, dan guru mata pelajaran fisika. Hasil penelitian ini adalah produk multimedia pembelajaran fisika berbasis scratch berupa simulasi hukum Oersted dan video pembelajaran yang dikemas dalam website. Hasil uji kelayakan oleh validator materi dan media terhadap multimedia pembelajaran fisika menunjukkan bahwa multimedia pembelajaran fisika ini sangat layak digunakan. Hasil uji coba multimedia pada siswa dan guru menunjukkan tanggapan yang positif terhadap penggunaan media dalam proses pembelajaran.   The purposes of this study are to know how physics learning multimedia based on scratch is developed and to know the feasibility of the multimedia. The procedure in developing this media is using 4D Models (define, design, development, dissemination). The subjects of this study are validator for the material and the media, students of XII MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Pekalongan, and he physics teachers. The result of the study is multimedia products based on scratch, they are Oersted’s law simulation and learning video which are collected in website. The result of the of multimedia from validator for material and media to the phisycs learning multimedia shows that this media is very feasible to be used. The result for the response of the students and teachers show a very good response to the usage of this media in learning process.

Abstract

Proses pembuktian dan pemahaman suatu teori membutuhkan suatu gambaran yang jelas mengenai kasus yang dikaji. Untuk membantu proses tersebut, diperlukan penggunaan media pembelajaran dalam bentuk animasi ataupun alat peraga seperti komputer, proyektor, smartphone, ataupun web dalam pembelajaran sesuai dengan materi dan perkembangan teknologi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan media pembelajaran BARy (Board’s Augmented Reality) pada pokok bahasan elektrostatika sebagai tambahan atau pelengkap pembelajaran materi elektrostatika, menguji validitas dan keefektifannya. Penelitian ini mengikuti model 4D ( Four-D Models ) yaitu define (pendefinisian), design (perancangan), develope (pengembangan), dan disseminate (penyebaran). Validasi dilakukan oleh ahli materi dan media meliputi aspek desain pembelajaran, aspek pengembangan perangkat lunak, dan aspek komunikasi visual. Nilai pengujian akan ditentukan oleh para pengguna aplikasi ini yaitu mahasiswa jurusan fisika angkatan 2014. Media pembelajaran BARy (Board’s Augmented Reality) pada pokok bahasan elektrostatika memiliki filtur seperti tampilan augmented reality, terdapat buku panduan, video penggunaan serta dapat menampilkan pemodelan, simulai dan interaksi pada muatan listik. Hasil validasi yang mencangkup aspek rekayasa perangkat lunak, aspek substansi materi, dan aspek desain komunikasi menghasilkan nilai 4,60 (92%), 4,57 (91%), dan 4.17 (83%). Secara keseluruhan menghasilkan nilai rata – rata 4,45 atau 89% yang menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi BARy ini layak digunakan. Sedangkan hasil dari pengujian aplikasi dengan mahasiswa menghasilkan nilai 3,92 atau 78% yang menunjukkan aplikasi BARy ini termasuk baik atau layak untuk digunakan.   The process of proof and understanding of a theory requires a clear picture of the case of study. To help the process, it is necessary to use learning media in the form of animation or teaching aids such as computers, projectors, smartphones, or the web in learning in accordance with the material and technological developments. The purpose of this study is to develop BARY (Board's Augmented Reality) learning media on the subject of electrostatics in addition to or complementary electrostatic material learning, testing its validity and effectiveness. This study follows the 4D (Four-D Models) model, which is define (define), design (design), develope (development), and disseminate (spread). Validation is carried out by material experts and media including aspects of learning design, aspects of software development, and aspects of visual communication. The value of the test will be determined by the users of this application, namely students of the 2014 physics department. BARy's learning media (Board's Augmented Reality) on the subject of electrostatics has a filtur such as augmented reality display, a guidebook, video usage and can display modeling, simulations and interactions on electric charge. Validation results that included aspects of software engineering, material substance aspects, and communication design aspects resulted in values ​​of 4.60 (92%), 4.57 (91%), and 4.17 (83%). Overall it produces an average value of 4.45 or 89% which indicates that the BARy application is worthy of use. While the results of testing applications with students produce a value of 3.92 or 78% which indicates that the BARy application is good or feasible to use.
