Abstract

Parameter penting yang menjadi tinjauan baik buruknya sistem komunikasi  adalah Kualitas Bit Error Rate yang kecil, penggunaan bandwidth yang efisiensi, dan penggunaan emisi daya yang efisien. MC-DSCDMA dan OFCDM merupakan bentuk transmisi multicarrier hasil kombinasi dari dua teknik radio access yaitu OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) dan CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access). Perbedaan utama kedua sistem terletak pada teknik spreading pada sub kanal. Pada penelitian ini akan disimulasikan dan dianalisis kinerja Bit Error kedua sistem. Pengujian kinerja Bit Error Rate dilakukan pada kanal AWGN dan Non Line Of Sight (NLOS) dengan modulasi QPSK. Pengujian dilakukan dengan merubah kenaikan SNR sebesar 1 dB sampai diperoleh batas ambang BER sebesar 10 – 3 . Analisis ini didasarkan pada nilai statistik rata-rata dari hasil program simulasi model sistem yang ditinjau dengan program Matlab Simulink 7.1. Berdasarkan analisa hasil pengujian, untuk kanal AWGN dengan batas ambang BER sebesar 10 – 3 diperoleh : model OFCDM baseband memerlukan level SNR sebesar 5,86 dB dan model MC-DSCDMA baseband memerlukan level SNR sebesar 7,98 dB. Pada Kanal NLOS, model OFCDM baseband memerlukan 2,44 dB  lebih kecil dibanding model MC-DSCDMA baseband yang masing-masing sebesar 10 dB dan 12.44 dB.

Abstract

When a high-rise building's lights are not required because they are frequently left on, electrical energy is wasted as a result of this.  The smart light is one of the effective ways to energy saving in a building. This study aims to create a smart light system using the ESP-Mesh network and the MQTT protocol to control the turn on/off of all lights in all rooms of a high-rise building. The ESP-Mesh network is a mesh of ESP8266 devices that are designed for multi-hop transmission. The MQTT is one of the widely used IoT protocols that allows a smartphone to control the lights in every room in a mesh topology via the internet remotely. The performance evaluation shows that a multi-hop ESP-Mesh is better than that a Single-hop ESP8266 in signal strength. The signal strength of the ESP8266 single-hop is bad. Meanwhile, the signal strength of the multi-hop ESP-Mesh is good in all rooms. Furthermore, The functional tests of the multi-hop ESP-Mesh show that although there are various broken paths caused by several disconnected nodes, all lights can be turned on or off suitably through the command from the smartphone switch. Turning off the not-required lights by smart light systems can help save energy.

Abstract

Kompetensi bidang Teknik Energi Terbarukan yang ada SMKN 1 Lingsar Kabupaten Lombok Barat, menjadi salah satu unggulan untuk sekolah kejuruan di Nusa Tenggara Barat, yang didukung dengan laboratorium yang memadai meliputi PLTMH, PLTS dan PLTBayu. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat bertujuan peningkatan pendampingan siswa melalui pelatihan pengukuran kualitas daya listrik sesuai standar PUIL 2011 dan IEEE Std 519-1992. Metode yang digunakan presentasi, diskusi, pretest, posttest, penggunaan alat ukur kualitas daya meliputi Digital Earth Tester, Megger dan Power Harmonic Analyzer. Kegiatan ini memberikan meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa tentang kualitas daya dengan rerata nilai pretest meningkat 70,5% dari nilai posttest. Hasil kemampuan praktik 17% sangat baik, 52% baik. Tingkat kebermanfaatan kegiatan ini 83% siswa menyatakan sangat puas dan sangat bermanfaat.

Abstract

SMAN 3 Mataram has a vision of forming human resources who are honest, trustworthy, and smart. One of the missions is to improve the ability in science, technology and skills. During the COVID-19 pandemic, healthy and clean living behavior is required according to the protocol by keeping a distance and avoiding crowds. To encourage skill and creative students, the PKM Team carries out Arduino training to measure non-contact body temperature. Arduino training modules are made easy to disassemble and can be monitored by Android phones via Bluetooth, with the MIT APP Inventor 2 program interface. The MLX90614 sensor can be used as a body temperature measurement via wireless during the Covid-19 pandemic. The training was carried out by means of presentations on the basic principles of Arduino and the introduction of analog sensors to measure body temperature. In order to be effective and efficient, the presentation of hardware circuits is directly practiced and supervised by electrical students. Competent lecturers provide training on making android programs, case studies of body temperature sensors. This PKM activity was attended by 23 students who were divided into 4 groups to match the number of modules. Based on the results of the evaluation of the pretest and posttest, there was an increase in knowledge of 34.5% from the pretest average of 51.2 to the posttest average of 78.2. A total of 13 students (56.6%) had additional motivation to find out more about the Arduino application.

Abstract

Antena collinear merupakan rangkaian antena dipole yang dirangkai menjadi satu kesatuan sistem antenna. Penyusunan antenna dipole ini dalam suatu rangkaian akan membangkitkan penguatan gain. Antena mikrostrip merupakan antena yang mempunyai karakteristik yang kecil, ringan dan tipis sehingga menyebabkan antena ini semakin dikembangkan untuk aplikasi wireless LAN. Antena yang diaplikasikan diluar ruangan harus memiliki gain ≥15 dB. Untuk mencapai hal ini antena tunggal bisa disusun secara array. Karena dengan menyusun anena array diharapkan memilikigain yang besar. Pada dasarnya, jumlah antena tunggal dalam suatu susunan array tidak terbatas, tetapi faktor dimensi antena juga harus menjadi pertimbangan. Kata kunci :collinear, collinear mikrostrip, array

Abstract

Listrik merupakan salah satu kebutuhan pokok di era modern. Tuntutan akan kualitas hidup yang lebih baik telah menyebabkan diproduksinya berbagai peralatan listrik untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidup manusia. Keselamatan yang berhubungan dengan ketenagalistrikan (electrical safety) pada dasarnya adalah segala upaya atau langkah-langkah pengamanan terhadap instalasi tenaga listrik, peralatan serta pemanfaat listrik untuk mewujudkan kondisi andal dan aman, baik bagi pekerja maupun masyarakat umum menurut SNI 0225 atau Persyaratan Umum Instalasi Listrik (PUIL) 2011. Pengabdian dilaksanakan di Desa Batulayar Kecamatan Batulayar Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Orientasi lapangan sudah dilakukan dengan berkunjung ke Kantor Desa dan diterima langsung oleh Sekretaris Desa Batulayar. Keinginan masyarakat desa untuk mendapatkan pelatihan, ditindak lanjuti dengan surat kesedian kerjasama yang ditandatangani oleh Sekretaris Desa Batulayar. Luaran dari program pelatihan bagi karang taruna tentang cara memasang dan merangkai peralatan instalasi listrik bangunan yang benar dan aman menurut SNI 0225 atau Persyaratan Umum Instalasi Listrik (PUIL) 2011, adalah guna meningkatkan keterampilan bidang instalasi listrik, peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat, penyerapan jumlah tenaga kerja dan terbentuknya sentra usaha mandiri (instalatir).

Abstract

Songket is a woven fabric created by prying the threads and adding more weft to create an embossed decorative pattern on a cotton or silk thread woven background. While songket from many places share similar motifs, when examined closely, the motifs of songket from various regions differ, one of which is in the Province of West Nusa Tenggara, namely Lombok Island. To assist the public in recognizing the many varieties of Lombok songket motifs, the researchers used digital image processing technology, including pattern recognition, to distinguish the distinctive patterns of Lombok songket. The Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM) technique and Backpropagation Neural Networks are used to build a pattern identification system to analyze the Lombok songket theme. Before beginning the feature extraction process, the RGB color image has converted to grayscale (grayscale), which is resized. Simultaneously, a Backpropagation Neural Network is employed to classify Lombok songket theme variations. This study used songket motif photos consisting of a sample of 15 songket motifs with the same color theme that was captured eight times, four of which were used as training data and kept in the database. Four additional photos were utilized as test data or data from sources other than the database. When the system’s ability to recognize the pattern of Lombok songket motifs is tested, the maximum average recognition percentage at a 0° angle is 88.33 percent. In comparison, the lowest average recognition percentage at a 90° angle is 68.33 percent.

Abstract

Secara geografis desa Banyumulek, Kecamatan Kediri, Kabupaten Lombok Barat Nusa Tenggara Barat berada 115,460–116,200 Bujur Timur dan 8,250-80 Lintang Selatan. Penduduk desa terkonsentrasi di beberapa titik dengan kepadatan yang cukup tinggi. Instalasi listrik pada hunian warga mempunyai umur yang bervariasi, instalasi listrik baru sampai sudah sangat tua. Instalasi listrik yang sudah tua berpotensi membahayakan bagi keselamatan manusia dan lingkungan. Tim PKM memberikan pengetahuan pemeliharaan instalasi listrik yaitu potensi bahaya listrik pada instalasi listrik, pemeriksaan berkala, instrumen uji, program pemeriksaan dan pengujian. Evaluasi kegiatan dalam bentuk kuisoner didapatkan hasil, 41,67%  responden dari peserta penyuluhan mempunyai tingkat pendidikan dibawah SMA (SD dan SMP). Penyerapan materi selama penyuluhan cukup baik, 66,67% responden memberikan jawab dengan nilai lebih besar/sama dengan 66.67 untuk rentang penilaian 0 sampai 100.

Abstract

Handphone produce electromagnetic fields of varying magnitude. SAR (Specific Absortion Radiation) and power density affect radiation exposure. WHO set the SAR radiation limit to be 1.6 W/Kg and the power density limit was 4.5 watts/m2 for the 900 MHz, and 9 watts/m2 for the frequency 1800 MHz. SAR values that exceed the threshold can cause physiological and psychological effects on humans. Electronic equipment connected to electrical installations still absorbs energy even though it inactive and termed vampire energy. The PKM team's measurements of the energy vampire of household electrical appliances range from 0.1 watts to 8.3 watts. The socialization activities on cellular phone radiation and energy vampires carried out in Perampuan Village is for sharing knowledge. The method used: presentation, electrical installation demonstration and measurement of energy vampires. The enthusiasm of the participants was quite high and hoped that there were regular activities for themes related to the electrical field.

Abstract

Banyumulek village, Kediri sub-district is the center of the pottery industry in West Lombok Regency, NTB. Pottery is produced using traditional equipment and additional equipment that uses a power source for the production process. An understanding of how to use electrical equipment to reduce production costs and efficiency in consumption of electrical energy needs to be given to the public. The community service team of the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Mataram provided counseling about this. The counseling was held at the Banyumulek village office which was attended by the village community and the Satria Rinjani youth group. The results of the evaluation based on the questionnaire analysis obtained that the majority were of productive age, i.e. 91.67% with an education level of 58.33% were high school and above, but all of them had never received counseling on the use of efficient electrical energy. The behavior of saving electricity is good, as much as 83.33%, even though they don't know how to use electricity efficiently.
