Abstract

Speaking is a practical skill and serves as a crucial indicator of one's proficiency in English. Generally, an individual is considered to have a strong command of the English language if they can effectively communicate verbally. Mastery of speaking skills is particularly challenging, as it necessitates consistent practice. To address the challenges faced by students in developing their English speaking abilities, researchers implemented the English-Speaking Practice (ESP) application as a resource for facilitating English conversation. This study aimed to enhance students' speaking skills across various dimensions, including pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. Employing a participatory action research methodology, data was gathered through observations, interviews, and assessments. The findings indicated that the ESP application, featuring a "Listen, Quiz, Practice, and Record" function, successfully improved speaking abilities, as evidenced by an increase in scores across four evaluated sections: 58.55, 64.73, 70.18, and 78.18, respectively. This study revealed that the integration of the ESP application significantly enhanced students' proficiency in English speaking.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of digital flipbook usage on students' learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SDN 12 Sanur Denpasar. Based on initial observations, many students showed a lack of interest in PAI lessons due to conventional and less interactive teaching methods. The implementation of digital flipbooks was carried out through planning, execution, and evaluation stages. The findings indicate that digital flipbooks increased students' participation in learning, facilitated material comprehension, and provided opportunities for independent learning. Additionally, students' average scores improved from 70 to 85 after the implementation of this learning media. However, challenges such as limited technology access for some students and teachers' lack of skills in creating digital media were identified. Therefore, it is recommended to provide teacher training to enhance the effectiveness of digital learning media.

Abstract

This paper aims to examine various issues that arise in discussing the philosophy of Islamic education. This paper will examine educational issues in the aspects of ontology, epistemology, and axiology. The ontological issues of education in the study of Islamic educational philosophy are divided into three issues: Islamic education, which seeks guidance, education, and coaching in introducing Islam as a whole to students; Faith education, which seeks the totality of Islamic teachings to be instilled in children through faith in Allah SWT with the foundations of faith, the pillars of Islam, and the foundations of sharia; and Ihsan education, which instills confidence in the mood and behavior of students to always feel close to God so that their actions are in accordance with the rules of Allah SWT. The epistemological issue of education in the study of Islamic educational philosophy is the educational process within the Islamic educational system, the scope of which is the objectives of Islamic education, the curriculum of Islamic education, Islamic educational materials, Islamic educational methods, educators, students, Islamic educational facilities, Islamic educational tools, and Islamic educational approaches. The problem of educational axiology in the study of Islamic educational philosophy concerns the values of Islamic education itself with the aim of testing and integrating all these values in human life, maintaining and fostering them in their personalities, both spiritual and tangible, which are divided into two main values, namely divine values and human values.
