Abstract

This study aims to see and determine the effect of the PAIKEM learning model using jarimatics on the numeracy ability of students in grade I SD Negeri 03 Tanjung Batu. This research is a quantitative research using experimental methods with the type of Quasi Experimental Design. The variables of this study consist of independent variables, namely the PAIKEM learning model using mathematics (X) and dependent variables, namely students' numeracy ability (Y). The study population was all students of grades I - VI SD Negeri 03 Tanjung Batu which amounted to 376 students and the number of samples was 41 students. Data collection techniques using tests and documentation. Instruments to measure counting ability using pretest and posttest in the form of fill-in-the-blank questions. The experimental class group obtained an average pretest score of 71, and posttest of 88.88 and the control class obtained an average pretest score of 68.14 and posttest of 75.24. The results of the t test with Sig 0.000 < 0.05 and the result of t count 4.038 > t table 2.023, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the PAIKEM learning model using jarimatics on the numeracy ability of students in grade I SD Negeri 03 Tanjung Batu.

Abstract

This study aims to develop flashcard media based on local wisdom of Palembang city with the material of my food, my culture for grade II of elementary school that is valid and practical. This type of research is Research and Development (R & D) with the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The subjects of this study were grade II students of Elementary School 90 Palembang. Data collection techniques used were interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis techniques consisting of validity and practicality. Validity analysis conducted by three experts, namely language experts, material experts, and media experts with an average value of 87.7% in the very valid category. Practicality analysis of teacher responses was 92.8% in the very practical category, practicality of the average value of one to one trials was 95.3% in the very practical category, the small group trial stage obtained an average value of 94% in the very practical category and the large group trial stage obtained an average value of 88.4% in the very practical category. So it can be concluded that the development of flashcard media based on local wisdom of Palembang city on the subject of my food, my culture for grade II elementary school is stated to be very valid and very practical.

Abstract

Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) Type on the Understanding of Science Concepts of Grade IV Elementary School Students. This research is an experimental research with a true experimental research type. The population of the study was all students of Elementary School 226 Palembang totaling 138 students. The sample taken was class IV.1 totaling 35 students as an experimental class using the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) type cooperative learning model and class IV.3 totaling 35 students as a control class using conventional learning. This sampling used a purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique used was a test to measure students' understanding of concepts. The data analysis technique used was the Independent Sample T-test (t-test). The results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence of the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) type cooperative learning model on the understanding of Science Concepts of grade IV elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the interactive educational game Baamboozle on the critical thinking skills of fourth grade elementary school students. using a quantitative approach with an experimental method (quasi-experimental) type of posttest-only control group design. The subjects of the study consisted of two groups: the experimental group (class IV A) and the control group (class IV C) each consisting of 30 students with a purposive sampling technique. The experimental group was given treatment using the Baamboozle game, while the control group used conventional learning. Validity and reliability tests were carried out using SPSS 25, with Cronbach's Alpha results of 0.801 indicating high reliability. Data analysis included normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis testing using independent sample t-test. The results showed a significant difference in the posttest scores between the experimental group and the control group, with a significance value of > 0.05 for the normality and homogeneity tests, the data was declared normally distributed and homogeneous with a significance level of > 0.05 and a t-count value of > t-table. These findings indicate that the interactive educational game Baamboozle has a positive and significant effect on the critical thinking skills of fourth grade students in the subject of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS). It can be concluded that digital games such as Baamboozle can increase student engagement and higher-order thinking skills in elementary education

Abstract

This article provides an overview of how to produce a learning media in the form of a Digital Scrapbook based on local wisdom on social science learning subjects for students ‘ learning activity at grade IV that is valid, practical, and effective. The research and development in this article use ASSURE development procedures, they are to (1) analyze learners, (2) state standards and objectives, (3) select strategies, technology, media and materials, (4) utilize strategies, technology, media and materials, (5) participant, and (6) evaluate and revise. The subjects of the one-to-one trial were 3 students, the small group trial subjects were 10 students, and the required participant subjects were 22 students. Data collection techniques in this study are observation, walkthrough, questionnaire, test and documentation. The results showed that the local wisdom-based digital scrapbook media was feasible with an average expert score of 89% in the feasible category. The average score of student responses showed that students were contented to use local wisdom-based digital scrapbook media in the learning process with a percentage of 93.4 %. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test, it was found that the digital scrapbook media developed had increased the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 15 Semende Darat Laut by 0.60, thus, the product could be stated to be effective.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter merupakan hasil dari sebuah proses pendidikan yang menanamkan sikap atau moral untuk berbuat dengan rasa tanggung jawab. Salah satu cara untuk penanaman pendidikan karakter adalah orangtua. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan peran orangtua dalam penanaman karakter tanggung jawab belajar pada siswa di SDN 36 Rantau Bayur. Lokasi penelitian ini adalah di SDN 36 Rantau Bayur. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif.Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah SDN 36 Rantau Bayur. Sedangkan informan penelitian ini yaitu 10 orangtua dan 1 guru wali kelas V SDN 36 Rantau Bayur. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan observasi dan wawancara.Teknik keabsahan penelitian ini menggunakan metode triangulasi.Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis dengan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif tahap reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran orangtua dalam penanaman karakter tanggung jawab siswa dalam belajarsebagai motivator sudah baik (95%), sebagai fasilitator sangat baik (81,6%), sebagai pendidik cukup baik (74,6%) dan sebagai pembimbing sangat baik (85,83) orangtua siswa SDN 36 Rantau Bayur sudah menanamkan karakter tanggung jawab melalui peran tersebut.
