Abstract

The aim of this research is to improve the quality of lectures of the development of elementary shool mathematics learning, especially the material of realistic mathematics approach, through the development of its learning equipment based on modeling the way strategy. This research approach is action research conducted in two cycles. Data were collected through observation and testing techniques. The criteria of success in this study is average formative test scores of students over 70, classical mastery learning score at least 75%, students learning activities scores and lecturers performance scores least 70.5 (B). After development of learning equipment for realistic mathematics using modeling the way strategy, the average formative score test was 72.4 and the classical mastery learning score was 56% in first cycle. In second cycle, the average formative score test was 76.4 and the classical mastery learning score was 80%. Student learning activities score in the first cycle was 78.75 (B) and in the second cycle it increased to 86.25 (A). Lecturers performance score in first cycle was 81.25 (AB), and in second cycle it increased to 90 (A). These results were considered to be sufficient, because the students’ achievement and learning activities as well as the lecturers’ performance have met the success criteria. Thus, it can be concluded that the development of realistic mathematics learning using strategy of modeling the way can improve the quality of development of elementary school mathematics learning at the Department of Elementary School Teacher Training Tegal.

Abstract

Phenomena in elementary mathematics instruction indicates that there is a tendency of media use by teachers is not optimal, the media used is very simple and does not attract the attention of students. Innovative media, as an idea, practice, or object that is considered new media, including Macromedia Flash and puzzles. This study aimed to obtain information regarding: 1) the application of innovative media; 2) the role of the media (innovative); and 3) the impact of the application of innovative media in learning mathematics. Approach to qualitative research conducted two studies to assess student thesis on the application of media PGSD inovaif in learning elementary school mathematics. Subjects in this study included 25 fourth grade students of SD Negeri Tegalsari 4 and 31 second grade students of SD Negeri Tegal Kemandungan 03, as well as the teacher researcher and observer respectively by 2 people. Data collection techniques using the techniques of documentation, observation, and interviews. Data analysis was performed through the stages of data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing or verification. Based on the results of research and discussion it is concluded that: 1) In general, innovative media in teaching elementary mathematics applied through the stages of introduction, the core and the cover. Learning the nuances of the game, load simulation or manipulation, and working in group ; 2) the presence of the media (innovative) is required at the stage of elaboration (explanation of the concept) in core activities, as clarification and confirmation of the core activities and cover; and 3) the impact of the application of innovative media for teachers and students, which is increasing the ability of teachers to hold and use the media, organizing materials and managing instructional time effectively; increasing students’ learning activities (student involvement in student learning and persistence in completing the task group / individual).

Abstract

Pencapaian tahun sebelumnya dari semester keempat mahasiswa S1 PGSD FIP UNNES, Tegal pada Pendidikan Matematika II menunjukkan kompetensi siswa rendah . Penyebab ini kompetensi yang rendah adalah pemahaman dan keterampilan yang rendah, bahan baru, serta strategi atau pendekatan yang digunakan oleh dosen mereka yang tidak mendukung pemahaman siswa dan keterampilan. Pertanyaan penelitian ini adalah "pemodelan Melalui cara strategi, dapat kualitas kuliah Pendidikan Matematika II ditingkatkan" riset pengembangan pembelajaran ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas dilakukan dalam dua siklus?; Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahapan: rencana, tindakan , observasi, dan refleksi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan tes. Kriteria yang digunakan untuk menilai keberhasilan adalah: (1) formatif tes siswa berarti nilai lebih dari 70, (penguasaan 2) kelas belajar paling sedikit 70%, aktivitas belajar siswa, dan nilai kinerja dosen adalah minimal 70,5 atau B. Setelah menerapkan pemodelan cara strategi dalam siklus pertama, tes formatif siswa adalah skor rata-rata 72,3 dan kelas belajar penguasaan adalah 66,67%. prestasi siswa meningkat pada siklus kedua; formatif tes siswa ratarata skor 74,53 dan kelas belajar penguasaan adalah 82,22%. Kegiatan belajar siswa pada siklus pertama mencapai tingkat 80 atau B, dan pada siklus kedua, naik menjadi 87,5 atau kinerja A. dosen di siklus pertama 81.25or AB, dan pada siklus kedua, menjadi 87,5 atau A Hasil ini. dianggap cukup, karena setiap komponen, misalnya prestasi, kegiatan belajar siswa, dan kinerja dosen, telah memenuhi kriteria yang digunakan untuk menilai keberhasilan pelaksanaan pemodelan cara strategi. Berdasarkan data tersebut, kesimpulannya adalah bahwa strategi pemodelan melalui cara, kualitas kuliah Pendidikan Matematika SD 2 dalam program studi S1-PGSD FIP UNNES, Tegal dapat ditingkatkan. Kata Kunci: pendidikan matematika II mengajar, strategi cara pemodelan.

Abstract

Problem solving ability is one of the goals and important elements that students must master during the mathematics learning process. With this in mind, the aim of this research is to test the effectiveness of implementing the Problem Based Learning model assisted by Smart Apps Creator media in developing students' abilities in solving problems regarding fractions in class V. This research took the form of quasi-experiment with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The number of students who were the object of this research was 185 students from class V of SDN in Gugus Kenanga, central java province of Indonesia. The sampling method for this research was carried out using a purposive sampling technique. The data collection method were observations and test. The technique for data analysis was carried out using two techniques, namely quantitative analysis and inferential statistics. It was found that there was real difference in students’ ability to solve fraction problems between students who use the Problem Based Learning model using the Smart Apps Creator application and students who use the Problem Based Learning model without using media. From these findings, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence in using the Problem Based Learning model with the help of Smart Apps Creator media in developing the abilities of class V students.

Abstract

Hasil wawancara dengan guru kelas IV SDN 03 Ujunggede dan SDN 04 Ujunggede Kecamatan Ampelgading, Kabupaten Pemalang, menunjukkan bahwa sekolah dasar tersebut menggunakan Buku Guru dan Buku Siswa dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Instrumen pengukuran hasil belajar yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran yaitu penilaian autentik. Kualitas yang dimiliki instrumen tersebut belum diketahui, sebab guru belum menganalisis secara keseluruhan terhadap instrumen tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kualitas instrumen penilaian autentik pada Buku Guru dan Buku Siswa Tema Cita-citaku Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar edisi revisi 2017. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Objek penelitian ini yaitu seluruh instrumen penilaian autentik pada Buku Guru dan Buku Siswa Tema Cita-citaku Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar edisi revisi 2017. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data secara kualitatif pada ranah pengetahuan yaitu aspek materi, konstruksi dan bahasa, serta jenjang ranah pengetahuannya. Kemudian instrumen kualitatif pada ranah sikap dan keterampilan berdasarkan kesesuaian format dan kriteria penulisan instrumen serta berdasarkan distribusi jenjang ranah sikap dan keterampilan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (1) Kualitas instrumen penilaian ranah pengetahuan ditinjau dari aspek materi memiliki validitas 0,9 (tinggi), aspek konstruksi 0,74 (sedang), dan aspek bahasa 0,81 (tinggi), butir soal penugasan 0,81 (tinggi), serta memuat distribusi jenjang C1, C2, C3, C4, dan C5; (2) Kualitas instrumen penilaian ranah sikap, ditinjau dari kriteria penulisan instrumen penilaian memiliki validitas isi sebesar 0,87 (tinggi), dan memuat distribusi jenjang A2 dan A5; (3) Kualitas instrumenpenilaian ranah keterampilan, butir soal unjuk kerja memiliki validitas 0,9 (tinggi), proyek 0,65 (sedang), dan produk 0,78 (sedang), serta memuat distribusi jenjang P1, P2, P3, dan P5. Penulis memberikan saran kepada guru hendaknya melakukan analisis instrumen penilaian sebelum menggunakan instrumen penilaian autentik yang terdapat pada buku ajar. Guru hendaknya memperhatikan kualitas menganalisis instrumen penilaian berdasarkan kriteriapenilaian dan ditinjau dari aspek validitas isi, terutama pada aspek konstruksi ranah pengetahuan dan penilaian bentuk proyek serta produk pada ranah keterampilan. Guru hendaknya memperhatikan persebaran distribusi jenjang ranah setiap aspek penilaian autentik

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Project Based Learning Model assisted by Pop-Up Book Media in terms of learning outcomes of grade V mathematics in elementary schools. This research is a type of Quasi Experimental Design, with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The samples of this study were fourth grade students of SDN 01 Gondang and fourth grade students of SDN 02 Gondang, Taman District, Pemalang Regency consisting of 2 classes, namely 32 students of SDN 01 Gondang and 31 students of SDN 02 Gondang. Each class had the same ability before being given treatment. After being given treatment, the experimental class has an average difference in learning outcomes with the control class, this is evidenced by the hypothesis test, namely the obtained tcount value is more than the ttable value of 7.310> 1.999 that Ho is rejected or there is a difference in student learning outcomes between those using the PjBL model assisted by pop-up book media and those using conventional approaches and the t test that the tcount value> ttable (37.374> 1.714) and the significance value <0.05 (0.000 <0.05), so that Ho2 is rejected. So it can be concluded that the Project Based Learning Model assisted by Pop-Up Book Media is effectively applied to mathematics learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are essential for students as they enable rational decision-making and the selection of optimal alternatives, equipping them to navigate the challenges of globalization effectively. This study aims to analyze and compare the impacts of conventional teaching methods with guided discovery learning models, supplemented by Om Jakaw Taksapa media, on the critical thinking abilities of fifth-grade students at SDN Gugus Larasati, Central Java, Indonesia. A quasi-experimental design featuring a nonequivalent control group framework was employed. The study population comprised fifth-grade students from SDN Gugus Larasati in Semarang City, with a cluster random sampling technique used to select a total sample of 61 students. Data collection methods included interviews, observations, and tests. The data were analyzed through quantitative techniques and inferential statistics. The results demonstrated that the t-value exceeded the critical t-value (t-count = 2.733 > t-table = 2.131) and the significance level was below 0.05 (p = 0.015 < 0.05), indicating a statistically significant effect. The guided discovery learning model, enhanced by Om Jakaw Taksapa media, exerted a more substantial influence on students’ critical thinking skills in the context of speed-related concepts compared to conventional methods. This research contributes to the advancement of educational science and underscores the importance of innovative teaching models and interactive media in fostering critical thinking. Additionally, it provides practical insights for educators to enhance classroom engagement and learning outcomes.
