Abstract

This research aims to develop and evaluate the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of augmented reality-based flashcard media in enhancing students' problem-solving skills in fractions. Utilizing the Plomp development model, the study was conducted during the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic year in four public elementary schools in the Wijayakusuma cluster, Semarang City. A pretest-posttest control group design with simple random sampling was employed. The problem-solving ability test was aligned with Polya's indicators. The findings indicate that the augmented reality-based flashcard media is highly feasible, achieving an average feasibility score of 92.98%. Assessments based on media validation, material validation, and practicality all fell into the very feasible category. The practicality test yielded a score of 91.52% from both teachers' and students' responses, indicating high practicality. Effectiveness testing through pretests and posttests showed significant improvement in problem-solving abilities, with a significance value of 0.000 in the t-Test. N-Gain analysis revealed that the flashcard media was more effective than conventional learning, with a control class N-Gain of 0.5796 and an experimental class N-Gain of 0.7090. In conclusion, augmented reality-based flashcard media effectively enhances students' mathematical problem-solving skills in fractions and serves as an alternative solution to improve the quality of fourth-grade learning.

Abstract

The students’ low problem-solving ability is due to a less meaningful learning process. This study aims to analyze the effect of applying the discovery learning model assisted by GeoGebra on the mathematical problem-solving abilities of fourth-grade elementary school students. This research employs the quasi-experimental design. The population of this study consisted of fourth-grade students at SDN Dabin III Pecangaan Jepara. The sample was taken using simple random sampling techniques. The data collecting technique used was a test. The data were analyzed using t-tests. The results of the data analysis showed that the average mathematics learning outcome of the experimental class was 81.03, which was higher than the control class (64.65). It can be concluded that using the discovery learning model with the assistance of GeoGebra significantly affects the problem-solving abilities of fourth-grade elementary school students. The implications of this research provide guidelines for curriculum innovation in facing future challenges.

Abstract

This study examines and analyzes differences in mathematical problem-solving abilities among students taught using Problem-based Learning (PBL) with Liveworksheets assistance and those taught using conventional learning models supported by worksheets on the division topic. The research employed a quasi-experimental design involving 185 fourth-grade elementary school students. Samples were selected using simple random sampling, resulting in 66 students as participants. Data were collected through tests and documentation. The findings reveal a significant improvement in problem-solving skills among students taught using the PBL model with Liveworksheets assistance, evidenced by a higher N-gain score of 0.70 compared to the control group's score of 0.42. Thus, integrating Liveworksheets into PBL effectively enhances students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. This study implies innovative technology-assisted learning models can significantly improve mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) Examine the influence of learning styles on students' problem-solving abilities in mathematics, 2) Investigate the effect of basic calculation skills on mathematical problem-solving abilities, and 3) Obtain information on the combined effect of both independent variables on the dependent variable. This research employs a quantitative approach with a correlational design (ex post facto). The population and sample consist of all fourth-grade students from SDN in the Gugus RA Kartini, Kabupaten Pati, totaling 99 students. Data collection techniques include tests, interviews, questionnaires, observations, and documentation. Data analysis is conducted through prerequisite analysis and final data analysis. Based on the research findings, it can be said that: 1) Learning styles have a big impact on students' ability to solve mathematical problems; 2) Basic calculation skills have a big impact on students' ability to solve mathematical problems; 3) Students' ability to solve mathematical problems is significantly impacted by both learning methods and fundamental calculating capabilities with a contribution of variables X1 and X2 to Y of 55.9%.The results align with existing theories that learning styles and basic calculation skills impact students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. Future research is expected to further develop this study by exploring other factors related to students' mathematical problem-solving skills.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to assess the efficacy of the Direct Instruction model in enhancing student achievement on the subject of the Solar System in the sixth grade at SDN Sumurlaban II. The present study employed a quasi-experimental design (pre-test–post-test control group) and comprised 40 students who were selected by random sampling. These students constituted the entire population of students in the sixth grade at the aforementioned school. Subsequently, the students were divided into two groups: 20 students in the experimental group (who received instruction using the Direct Instruction model) and 20 students in the control group (who received Konvensional instruction). The instruments employed in this study included a multiple-choice test and a short-answer test, as well as a classroom observation checklist. The collected data was subjected to statistical analysis, specifically the parametric t-test, to identify any significant differences in the pretest and posttest values. The findings of the present study demonstrate that the implementation of Direct Instruction has yielded a substantial enhancement in the academic performance of the students, particularly in the domain of abstract concepts such as the identification of the components of the Solar System, as well as the comprehension of concepts related to orbit, rotation, and revolution. This finding suggests that the Direct Instruction model is a viable teaching method in primary education, particularly in the context of systematically and structurally imparting scientific concepts.

Abstract

Problem-solving ability is a basis that students must have in the learning process. This research aims to analyze the influence of the Discovery Learning model with Geogebra-based Napier Bones on improving students' division problem-solving ability. The population in this study was fourth-grade students of SDN Gugus Diponegoro. Sampling was done using the cluster random sampling technique. The sample in this research was fourth-grade students of SDN 1 Kalen and SDN 2 Nglandeyan. This research was carried out using quantitative research methods with experimental research types. The research design used a Quasi-experimental design. Data collection in this research was carried out by test techniques. The data analysis techniques used were normality test, homogeneity test, independent t test, and N-gain. The result of the research showed that there was a difference in division problem-solving ability in the experimental class which is higher than the control class. Based on the independent sample t-test, the significance value obtained 0,038 < 0,05. The N-Gain results show that the value in the experimental class was 0.501, which is in the medium category, while the value of the control class was 0.235 in the low category. This research concludes that the Discovery Learning model with Geogebra-based Napier Bones media has a significant influence on students' division problem-solving abilities.         Keywords: discovery learning, geogebra-based napier bones, problem solving ability.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v25i1.pp223-235

Abstract

Kurikulum saat ini menuntut proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media yang inovatif dan model pembelajaran yang dapat menumbuhkan peran aktif peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan di kelas IV SDN Luwungbata 02, beberapa siswa masih belum bisa menyelesaikan pembagian bersusun. Hal ini dikarenakan media pembelajaran kurang efektif sehingga pada pembelajaran menggunakan Problem Based Learning (PBL) belum sepenuhnya berhasil. Penelitian ini dilakukan guna mengetahui pengembangan media Division Board dengan menggunakan desain pengembangan ADDIE, kelayakan media, dan keefektifan media pada pembelajaran PBL materi pembagian bersusun dalam membuat peningkatan hasil belajar matematika di kelas IV SDN Luwungbata 02 Brebes. Adapun metode yang diterapkan pada penelitian adalah penelitian R&D menggunakan desain penelitian ADDIE. Instrumen pengumpul data yang digunakan meliputi observasi, catatan tertulis, wawancara, dan angket. Data yang dihasilkan dianalisis dengan menguji kelayakan media, uji normalitas, uji perbandingan rata-rata t-test dan uji wilcoxon, serta uji peningkatan rata-rata. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh penilaian kelayakan media Division Board oleh dua validator yaitu validator media mendapatkan persentase 90,95% dan penilaian oleh validator materi mendapatkan persentase 90% ini termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak. Penggunaan media Division Board dengan model Problem Based Learning mendapatkan tanggapan positif dari pendidik dan peserta didik, serta hasil analisis pretest dan posttest menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan dalam pencapaian belajar pada materi pembagian bersusun setelah penggunaan media tersebut.

Abstract

The community service aimed to increase awareness of healthy lifestyles in the Daleman Village community in order to achieve stunting-free village status. The service method is education to teenagers and socialization of a healthy, balanced menu. The activity partners were youth representatives from each RT in Daleman Village and students of SDN 2 Daleman. The results of service activities show increased understanding of nutrition, diet and the role of exercise in preventing stunting. By understanding the local context, this program aims to make a positive contribution to improving the health and nutritional needs of children in Daleman Village.

Abstract

Evaluasi pencapaian siswa adalah aspek penting dalam penilaian efektivitas pendidikan. Dalam penelitian berfokus pada evaluasi pencapaian siswa sebelum intervensi dalam suatu mata pelajaran, untuk memahami kemajuan belajar siswa dan mengidentifikasi area yang memerlukan perbaikan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menilai tingkat pemahaman siswa dan memberikan dasar bagi perencanaan intervensi yang sesuai untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di masa depan. Data nilai siswa dari 28 partisipan dikumpulkan dan dianalisis. Penelitian dilakukan melalui pengamatan nilai pra siklus, siklus 1, dan siklus 2, serta kategori keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa. Terdapat variasi signifikan dalam prestasi belajar siswa, dengan beberapa siswa menunjukkan kemajuan yang baik sementara yang lain memerlukan perhatian tambahan. Penilaian menunjukkan peningkatan yang konsisten dalam nilai rata-rata siswa dari pra siklus hingga siklus 2, serta peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kategori keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa. Melalui penelitian ini, pendidik dapat merencanakan strategi pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dan memberikan dukungan yang tepat kepada setiap siswa sesuai dengan kebutuhan mereka, yang pada akhirnya berkontribusi pada peningkatan kualitas pendidikan secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

Learning in elementary schools is currently directed to integrate technology that is aligned with the mission of the material in order to achieve quality results and student character, namely strengthening the profile of Pancasila students. This TPACK construction is expected to form student output as lifelong learners who have global abilities and behavior according to Pancasila values. Field studies need to analyze the integration of technology in learning as an effort to form students who are democratic, capable, and productive Indonesian citizens in the 21st century. The purpose of this study is to fundamentally analyze the model of strengthening the profile of Pancasila students based on TPACK at SDIT Usamah, Tegal City, as well as supporting factors and constraints. This type of research is descriptive qualitative; research location SDIT Usamah, Tegal City; data sources in the form of informants, activities, and documents; Data were collected using non-participant observation techniques, in-depth interviews, documentation studies; data validity testing by extending observations, increasing perseverance in research, discussions, triangulation. Data were analyzed using interactive model techniques flowing through data collection, data reduction, data display and conclusions. The results of the study indicate that strengthening the profile of Pancasila students based on TPACK at SDIT Usamah, Tegal City, especially in grade IV in science learning integrates technology applied through learning media and learning models. The dimensions of the Pancasila student profile are focused on three dimensions that are relevant to the material and objectives of science learning, including: 1) the dimension of global diversity; 2) the dimension of mutual cooperation; 3) the dimension of critical reasoning.
