Abstract

This study aims to gather information about students' problem-solving abilities and explore differences in their skills after using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model supported by GeoGebra learning media. The research was conducted because not all students possess strong problem-solving skills and are accustomed to working on problems using these skills. In response to this issue, a quantitative experimental study was carried out with a Quasi-Experimental Design, specifically a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The results showed a t value of -3.054 and a significance level (Sig. (2-tailed)) of 0.004. Since this significance value is less than 0.05, it indicates a significant difference between the two groups. The average N-Gain for the control group was 0.187, categorized as low, while the experimental group had an average N-Gain of 0.353, placing it in the medium category. This suggests that there is a significant difference between the group that received GeoGebra-assisted PBL treatment and the group that did not. Overall, students who used the GeoGebra-supported PBL model showed greater improvement in problem-solving skills than those who did not.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop a canva-assisted e-module teaching material as an effort to improve the mathematical reasoning skills of class V students of the Pringgodani Group on addition and subtraction of fractions as well as to analyze the effectiveness and feasibility of canva-assisted e-modules. This research is a development research with the Plomp development model. Data analysis was carried out by normality test, homogeneity test, t-test, and N-Gain test. The results of the study showed that the feasibility assessment of e-modules by material experts was 84.6% on the very feasible criteria, 94.2% on the very feasible criteria, and practitioner experts at 92.5% with very feasible criteria. Based on the results of the t-test and the N-gain test on a limited scale and a wide scale, the e-module was declared effective in improving the mathematical reasoning skills of students in class V of the Pringgodani Group.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Komet QR media on the problem-solving abilities in geometry of fourth-grade students at the Budi Utomo Cluster, Mijen, Semarang. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The subjects consisted of two classes: the experimental class, which used the Problem-Based Learning model assisted by Komet QR media, and the control class, which used conventional learning methods. Data were collected through pretests and posttests to measure students' problem-solving abilities. The data were analyzed using t-tests and gain score analysis. The result of the n-gain test was 0.6512, which falls into the medium category, indicating a significant difference in problem-solving ability between students who learned using Problem-Based Learning assisted by Komet QR and those who did not. This is further supported by the average posttest scores, with the control class scoring 68 and the experimental class scoring 81.

Abstract

This research will focus on the evaluation of elementary school students' readiness to use AI for their learning process through three significant factors, namely dimensions of readiness, factors affecting readiness, and conditions for infrastructure and ecosystem of schools. The type of this research is a literature review that utilizes qualitative methods. This data collection is done based on ten scientific articles from national and international journals, sourced from the Google Scholar, Scopus, ERIC, and Sinta databases. The data were collected by documentation, and data analysis was done using content analysis and thematic synthesis. From the research findings, it is evident that the readiness for AI integration among primary level pupils entails three related constructs; cognitive (knowledge of AI), affective (attitudes, motivation, self-confidence), and behavioral (interaction skills with AI technologies). While internal variables (teacher attitudes, TPACK) strongly positively impact AI integration (β = 0.791), external variables (government policies, technological infrastructure, community involvement) indirectly impact AI usage via internal variables (β = 0.217). Less than a third of teachers (28%) currently adopt AI in teaching, whereas the majority (82%) stick to conventional instructional techniques. These results indicate that the readiness of students will not take place without ensuring the readiness of teachers and that both need to work in harmony with each other for internal capacity building and equal external support. The conclusion drawn from this study is that the level of readiness of elementary school students to adopt learning based on artificial intelligence has only started and that they are not consistent yet. The application of AI in elementary schools largely relies on enhancing teacher competencies, equal infrastructure, and developing policies that consider ethics, privacy, and social justice. More studies should be conducted concerning rural areas and tools to measure readiness in Indonesia.

Abstract

Interactive learning media can be used by educators in learning to increase student activeness and learning outcomes. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model. This development aims to test the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of Powerpoint-based Interactive Mathematics Learning Media Combined with Ispring Suite to improve student learning outcomes. This research was conducted from February to April 2024. Qualitative data and quantitative data are the types of data used in this study The population in this study were fourth grade students totaling 25 students. Product trials were carried out in small-scale groups at SDN Ngijo 02 and large-scale groups at SDN Ngijo 01. Data collection techniques used tests, namely pretests and posttests and non-tests, namely observation, questionnaires, and interviews. The results of validation by material experts and media experts received 91.25% and 90% respectively with very feasible criteria. Based on the results of the pretest and posttest of the large-scale group, the N-Gain value was 0.586 in the medium category with a percentage of effectiveness of 58.6%. Based on the results of teacher and student responses, the large-scale group obtained 100% and 88.9% respectively with very positive criteria. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Powerpoint-Based Interactive Mathematics Learning Media Combined with iSpring Suite is feasible, effective, and practical to use in improving student learning outcomes in grade IV.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of pedagogical competence of elementary school teachers after participating in the Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG) in the learning process by considering the influence of transformational leadership and school culture. Pedagogical competence is understood as the ability of teachers to design lesson plans, implement teaching and learning activities, and conduct effective learning assessments. Although teachers have participated in professional training programs, the implementation of these competencies is also influenced by the conditions and support of the school environment. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. The research informants consist of elementary school teachers who have completed the PPG program and school principals. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations of the learning process, and documentation studies related to learning activities and instructional documents. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing systematically. The results show that teachers who have completed the PPG program demonstrate improved abilities in preparing learning tools, managing classrooms, and conducting learning evaluations. In addition, the transformational leadership of school principals plays a role in providing motivation and support for teachers to continuously improve their professional competence. A positive school culture also encourages collaboration, innovation, and improvement in the quality of learning. Therefore, leadership and school culture are important factors in optimizing teachers’ pedagogical competence in the learning process.
