Abstract

Desa Wisata dianggap sebagai daya tarik dalam suatu tujuan wisata yang secara signifikan merangsang pertumbuhan ekonomi, terutama bagi masyarakat lokal. Pariwisata pedesaan di desa-desa tradisional dapat membantu melestarikan budaya lokal dan memberdayakan masyarakat setempat. Kampung Adat Cirendeu adalah contoh desa tradisional yang telah dikembangkan menjadi tujuan wisata edukatif dengan mempertahankan nilai-nilai budaya lokal seperti tidak makan nasi dan menggantinya dengan singkong. Pariwisata berbasis masyarakat adalah salah satu cara di mana Kampung Adat Cirendeu telah mengembangkan dan mempertahankan gaya hidup tradisionalnya. Keberlanjutan desa dipertahankan oleh kemampuan masyarakat setempat untuk memberdayakan diri tanpa terganggu oleh faktor eksternal seperti kehadiran atau ketiadaan wisatawan. Analisis studi ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan melakukan wawancara dengan Ketua Desa Cirendeu dan penelitian pustaka. Hasil studi ini menemukan bahwa Desa Cirendeu berada dalam kategori berkelanjutan, hal ini karena orang-orang di sekitar desa telah mampu memberdayakan diri tanpa terganggu oleh faktor eksternal seperti ada atau tidaknya wisatawan, mereka terus melakukan gaya hidup mereka.

Abstract

Nagari Tuo Pariangan is an area in West Sumatra that maintains Minangkabau traditions. This area is believed to be the place where the Minangkabau civilization began. The unique geographical condition is an added value for Nagari Tuo Pariangan to become one of the priority tourism destinations in Tanah Datar Regency. This research aims to evaluate tourism development in the village based on the CBT stage framework prepared by the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) and uses a qualitative approach. Based on the study's results, community-based tourism development in Nagari Tuo Pariangan can be categorized as a developing CBT because it almost fulfils every stage of development in CBT, even though each stage in community-based tourism development is not fully optimized, and there is still much to be addressed.  The development stage of CBT implementation in Nagari Tuo Pariangan is at the stage of market demand and marketing strategy. The stage that has not been carried out at this time is monitoring and evaluation. This study can show the advantages that make it an example for other regions and the shortcomings in optimizing Nagari Tuo Pariangan tourism.

Abstract

The popularity of ecotourism among foreign and domestic tourists is increasing in Indonesia. Uploading ecotourism content on social media can influence visitor decisions and give the uploader a feeling of satisfaction. Recognition through social media or symbolic motivation is one of the motivations for tourists to visit ecotourism. The number of tourists with symbolic motivation is increasing, in line with the increasing use of social media globally, which can have an impact on the development of ecotourism. This research identifies the factors of tourists with symbolic motivation wanting to visit two national parks (TNGL and TN Komodo) in Indonesia and the impacts arising from this phenomenon. The research is done with qualitative method, with data obtained through literature study and analysed descriptively. This study found that the factor for tourists with symbolic motivation who visited the two locations, namely because of the beautiful views and photo spots, different lifestyles offered by destinations, relaxation, the existence of exclusivity values in the facilities, and sensation seeking for attractions that have positive reviews in social media. This phenomenon has both positive and negative impacts on the environmental, economy, and socio-cultural aspects of these two national parks.
