Abstract

This research aims to measure the learning outcomes of class IV students at SDN Kertobanyon regarding plant body parts and their functions using a problem based learning model. This research involved 13 class IV students at SDN Kertobanyon using the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method. Data was collected through the pre-cycle, cycle I and cycle II stages. The research results show a significant increase in student learning outcomes. At the pre-cycle stage, the percentage of students whose learning outcomes reached the KKM was 38.5%. In the first cycle stage, the percentage of students whose learning outcomes reached the KKM was 46.1%. In cycle II stage, the percentage of students whose learning outcomes reached the KKM was 76.9%. The PBL model has proven to be effective not only in increasing understanding of science and science concepts, but also in developing students' social skills and learning motivation. Therefore, PBL is recommended as an effective learning model for science and science learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the extent to which fifth grade students of SDN Kertobanyon were able to master the science subject "Hearing Because of Sound" with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning approach. Using a descriptive qualitative methodology, the process and influence of PBL implementation on student understanding were studied. Direct observation, in-depth student interviews, and document analysis were used to collect data, which were then analyzed using descriptive analysis methods, the form of this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The results showed that the implementation of PBL succeeded in significantly increasing student engagement, with students showing improvements in communication skills, group work, and critical thinking. In addition, students said that the PBL paradigm improved their understanding of good ideas and made learning more interesting and participatory. However, this study also identified several challenges, including differences in student ability levels and limited time available for problem solving. To overcome these challenges, teachers are advised to provide additional support to students who need it and develop more efficient learning strategies. In conclusion, the PBL model is effective in improving students' understanding of science and science concepts and can be applied more widely in the context of elementary school learning, as long as it is carried out with careful planning and adaptation to classroom conditions.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to use the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) paradigm to improve the understanding and application of Pancasila values in fifth grade students of Kertobanyon Elementary School. Classroom Action Research (CAR) was the methodology used; this study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. Observation data from the first cycle showed that students' understanding of Pancasila values was still limited to theoretical knowledge and involvement in group discussions was still low. After adjustments were made in the second cycle, such as a more in-depth explanation of PBL and stronger motivation, student participation increased significantly. They became more active in discussions, expressed opinions, and worked together with group members to solve problems. In addition, students' understanding of Pancasila values also developed, and they were able to recognize and use these principles in authentic situations. Students' ability to collaborate and think critically was positively impacted by the use of the PBL model. Overall, this study shows that the PBL paradigm has succeeded in improving the standard of teaching of Pancasila Education while also fostering students' capacity to think critically and work together in teams. Therefore, the PBL model is worthy of evaluation as a teaching strategy that can be used more widely to instill Pancasila values in elementary schools.

Abstract

Untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas V SDN Banjarejo, proyek ini bermaksud menggunakan pendekatan Problem-Based Learning (PBL) dengan bantuan Mystery Box. Untuk mendorong siswa berpartisipasi lebih aktif dalam proses pembelajaran, teknik Problem-Based Learning (PBL) menekankan pada pemecahan masalah yang dapat diterapkan dalam situasi sehari-hari. Teknologi yang disebut Mystery Box digunakan untuk mengajukan isu-isu yang menarik dan membangkitkan minat siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dengan persiapan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi pada setiap siklus. Penilaian hasil belajar, observasi aktivitas siswa, dan survei reaksi siswa terhadap pendekatan yang digunakan digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Analisis data deskriptif dan kuantitatif dilakukan untuk membandingkan hasil belajar sebelum dan sesudah metode PBL diterapkan dengan bantuan Mystery Box. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan pendekatan ini secara signifikan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Setelah penerapan, skor tes hasil belajar rata-rata meningkat dari 71 menjadi 85. Hasil positif juga ditunjukkan oleh tindakan siswa selama proses pembelajaran, karena siswa berpartisipasi aktif dalam diskusi dan pemecahan masalah. menggunakan proporsi jawaban yang baik, reaksi pelajar terhadap pembelajaran menggunakan Mystery Box juga sangat baik.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan salah satu faktor kunci dalam peningkatan mutu sumber daya manusia dan terwujudnya cita-cita masyarakat Indonesia. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pertimbangan yang matang dalam proses pembelajaran untuk dapat mewujudkannya. Penggunaan media di dalam kelas merupakan salah satu upaya guru untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar. Hal tersebut menjadi salah satu motivasi dalam penelitian ini. Tujuan penelitian ini, menurut Yerch, adalah untuk menjelaskan bagaimana media Smart Box dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif anak SD kelas IV tentang kekayaan budaya Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan rancangan siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV A SD Negeri Banjarejo sebanyak 28 orang. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan penilaian hasil belajar dan observasi kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media Smart Box efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa SD kelas IV tentang kekayaan budaya Indonesia. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II. Ketuntasan prasiklus sebesar 43%, Siklus I sebesar 64%, dan Siklus II sebesar 89%. Temuan observasi kelas yang menunjukkan bahwa siswa lebih terlibat dan bersemangat mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan media Smart Box semakin menguatkan peningkatan tersebut.

Abstract

Pendidikan lebih dari sekedar pengajaran, pembelajaran merupakan suatu kegiatan yang melibatkan seseorang dalam upaya memperoleh pengetahuan, keterampilan dan nilai-nilai positif dengan memanfaatkan berbagai sumber untuk belajar. Dengan bantuan pembelajaran dapat dilakukan proses pembelajaran yang interaktif, dan menghibur. Penggunaan media pembelajaran merupakan salah satu cara mencapai keberhasilan belajar tersebut. Tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran tentu dilihat dari perolehan hasil belajar. Sayangnya, tidak sedikit guru yang tidak menggunakan media saat menyampaikan materi pembelajaran termasuk juga pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan media smart box untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kelas V materi keberagaman sebagai kekuatan dengan menggunakan media smart box. Metode yang dipilih peneliti adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Sejumlah 26 peserta didik kelas V A SDN Banjarejo menjadi subyek dalam penelitian dengan melakukan 2 siklus. Berdasarkan temuan peneliti menunjukkan persentase ketuntasan belajar sebelum dan sesudah menerapkan media smart box pada pra siklus (62%), siklus I (77%), siklus II (88%). Melihat persentase ketuntasan siklus II sebesar 88% menandakan penetapan indikator keberhasilan sebelumnya sebesar 85% telah terpenuhi pada siklus II. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas V A SDN Banjarejo materi keberagaman sebagai kekuatan dapat dicapai dengan penerapan media smart box.

Abstract

Low numeracy skills in early childhood affect primary school readiness. Children will have difficulty facing challenges in mathematics, problem solving, other subjects, daily activities, self-confidence, motivation to learn, and social interaction. This study aims to analyze the level of numeracy skills of children aged 5-6 years in the Surakarta Residential and identify aspects of numeracy skills that are still low, so that it can be a reference in providing appropriate stimulation. The research method used a survey. Data collection techniques through a numeracy assessment questionnaire and validated by expert judgment. The sampling technique used convenience sampling by randomly selecting two kindergartens in each district / city in Surakarta Prefecture, so that 386 respondents of children aged 5-6 years were obtained. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that 13.2% of the children had high numeracy skills, 67.9% were in the medium category, and 18.9% were in the low category. Of the five aspects of numeracy measured (number, geometry, measurement, computation, and data analysis), the number aspect was found to be the most mastered by the children. The geometry, measurement, and computation aspects were in the moderate category. The data analysis aspect showed the lowest results, indicating difficulties in understanding more complex numerical concepts. These findings suggest the need for more innovative and inquiry-based learning strategies to improve children's numeracy skills. The research recommendations emphasize the importance of strengthening activity-based learning methods, using interactive teaching aids, and increasing the involvement of teachers and parents in supporting early numeracy skills.

Abstract

This research aims to find out whether the application of the project based learning model can increase the creativity of children aged 5-6 years and how to increase the creativity of children aged 5-6 years through the project based learning model. This research was carried out at the Gentan Village Kindergarten. The method used is Classroom Action Research. Data collection is carried out through planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects of this research were 15 children aged 5-6 years in group B1 at Gentan Village Kindergarten. From the research results, it was found that the creativity of children aged 5-6 years can be increased through the project based learning model. This was proven in cycle 1, the level of children's creativity was 39.31% and increased by 24.02% in cycle 2, namely to 63.33%, so the classroom action research was stopped at the stage of cycle 2. How to increase the creativity of children aged 5-6 years in Gentan Village Kindergarten through the application of a project based learning model with loose part media.   ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah penerapam model pembelajaran project based learning dapat meningkatkan kreativitas anak usia 5-6 tahun dan bagaimana cara meningkatkan kreativitas anak usia 5-6 tahun melalui model pembelajaran project based learning. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di TK Desa Gentan. Metode yang digunakan ialah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subyek penelitian ini adalah anak-anak usia 5-6 tahun kelompok B1 di TK Desa Gentan sebanyak 15 anak. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa kreativitas anak usia5-6 tahun dapat ditingkatkan melalui model pembelajaran project based learning. Hal ini dibuktikan pada siklus 1 tingkat kreativitas anak sebesar 39,31% dan mengalami peningkatan sebanyak 24,02% pada siklus 2 yaitu menjadi 63,33%, sehingga penelitian tindakan kelas dihentikan pada tahapann siklus 2. Cara peningkatan kreativitas anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Desa Gentan melalui penerapan model pembelajaran project based learning dengan media loose part.

Abstract

Problem-solving ability is an important skill in early childhood development. If the ability to solve problems is not fulfilled, children will find it difficult to live their daily lives and tend to blame others. The problem-based learning model uses problems as the basis for starting learning activities. This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of problem-based learning models on the problem-solving ability of children aged 5-6 years. The research was conducted at Gondangrejo Karanganyar. The approach used in this research is quantitative with the type of research Quasi experiment, using One group pretest-posttest design, which is research carried out by giving a pretest first before treatment and giving a posttest after treatment. The research subjects consisted of 27 children aged 5-6 years. Instrument validity test using expert judgment. Data were collected using test and observation techniques. Data analysis was carried out by normality test and hypothesis test using Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and Wilcoxon Test found in SPSS Version 23 for Windows application with normality test significance level >0.05 and hypothesis test significance level <0.05. The results of the hypothesis test in this study showed a value of 0.000, so it can be concluded that the problem-based learning model has an effect on the problem solving ability of children aged 5-6 years.
