Abstract

This study aims to analyze some hate speech phenomenon reviews in Indonesia. It compares how these two reviews are carried out to indicate how each source contributes and integrates the topic. The research uses a qualitative method with a systematic review. They were analyzed using a literature review matrix with the abstract data, such as author, years published, topic, and effects and findings. The PRISMA checklist (reporting guide for systematic review) is also applied to validate the observed systemic review. The research findings demonstrate that the clarity and transparency of the observed literature reviews need to be improved.

Abstract

Campaigns regarding Covid-19 outbreak are now being intensively carried out by the government. Public Service Advertisements (PSA) are also one of the spearheads to reduce the spread of Covid-19. This phenomenon has attracted the author's attention to examine the metaphor in PSA as a creative strategy carried out by advertisers to convey their message. The purpose of this study is to reveal conceptual metaphors in the Covid-19 PSA which can later be used as a reference in making advertisements related to Covid-19, also to provide understanding to readers through headline about Covid-19 by involving conceptual metaphors which are expected to be effective accepted by the public or readers. This study uses qualitative methods used to reveal social conditions that occur in the community. The findings of this study: there are two types of metaphorical concepts in the Covid-19 Headline, namely structural and ontological types, the most dominant is the ontological type, while the meanings built are atropomorphic metaphors, animal metaphors, metaphors from concrete to abstract, and synesthesia metaphors. These findings can be used as recommendations for advertisers in designing creative strategies related to Covid-19 advertisements so that their advertisements are effective and easily digested by the target audience or readers.

Abstract

Penggunaan serta pemanfaatan media website oleh MTs Persis Ciganitri Kab. Bandung belum efektif, karena masih sedikit sekali konten informasi yang ada. Selain itu, kondisi saat ini untuk alamat website yang dimilikinya juga belum dapat diakses. Hal ini dikarenakan kendala seperti keterbatasan kemampuan sumber daya manusia (SDM) maupun berbagai perangkat pendukung yang masih belum dimiliki. Selain itu juga masih banyak pegawai maupun guru yang belum mampu mengelola website sehingga informasi yang dapat dimuat di dalam website masih sangat terbatas, serta kurangnya kerjasama antara pihak pengelola website dengan madrasah. Tujuan dari pelaksanaan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakar (PkM) Kolaborasi Internal Universitas Telkom adalah memberikan pendampingan terkait dalam hal pembuatan (perancangan) serta pengembangan konten di website resmi (official). Hal tersebut sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan efektifitas penyebaran informasi kegiatan di MTs Persis Ciganitri Kab. Bandung. Adapun metode dan tahapan pelaksanaan kegiatan PkM) ini terdiri dari studi pendahuluan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Tim pelaksana PkM membuatkan website resmi (official website) dengan alamat mtspersisciganitri.sch.id. Kemudian tim pelaksana PkM juga mengembangkan menu tampilan yang dimunculkan di web, seperti profil madrasah, kontak madrasah, blog yang berisi informasi serta pengumuman berita lainnya serta galeri atau dokumentasi kegiatan madrasah. Selain itu tim pelaksana juga memberikan pelatihan (workshop) perancangan atau pembuatan website resmi bagi para operator atau admin serta bagi para guru dan karyawan terkait pengembangan konten. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi yang dilakukan, kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat dalam rangka dalam penyebaran informasi madrasah. Hal tersebut juga sangat sejalan dengan keinginan serta kebutuhan dari pihak madrasah untuk dapat memanfaatkan perkembangan teknologi dan internet dalam mendukung semua kegiatan di lingkungan madrasah

Abstract

The field of Visual Communication Design (VCD) in Indonesia requires students and graduates to enhance their English language skills to stay competitive globally. However, there is a significant gap in understanding the specific English language material needs of students and graduates in this field, so it needs to be more understanding of their particular linguistic needs. This mixed-methods study aims to explore the disparities in English language skills perceived by VCD students and graduates in Indonesia and identify their specific English language material needs. . Through questionnaires, interviews, and focus group discussions, data were collected from 30 students and 10 graduates. The findings reveal differences in language proficiency or skills perspectives between VCD students and graduates , emphasizing the importance of designing language courses that align with learners' specific needs and industry demands. This study's implications for English language education in various industries highlight the significance of effective communication in a globalized world. By addressing learners' specific language demands, educators can better support students' language learning goals and prepare graduates for success in their professional endeavors. Implementing industry-specific language instruction and curriculum can enhance learners' competitiveness and communication in the workplace, promoting stronger international collaborations within the creative industries. Although challenges may arise in implementing changes, a partnership between academic institutions and industry stakeholders can bridge the gap between academic language learning and real-world language demands. Addressing learners' needs in English language education can ultimately contribute to their professional growth and success in the global market.

Abstract

The problem with learning English in elementary schools is the low learning outcomes of students, especially in understanding the material. The urgency of applying Augmented Reality (AR) technology as a learning medium is to improve students' understanding of English more interestingly and interactively. This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using AR in improving student learning outcomes in English subjects in elementary schools. The research method used is quantitative with the research subjects being elementary school students. The data collection technique is carried out through questionnaires filled out by students after using AR-based learning media. The data analysis technique used is a statistical analysis to measure the increase in student learning outcomes before and after using AR. The research results show that there is a significant increase in students' understanding of English material after using AR as a learning medium. This research concludes that the application of AR is effective in improving student learning outcomes in English subjects in elementary schools. The implication of this research is the need to integrate AR technology into the English language learning curriculum in elementary schools to improve the quality of learning and students' understanding of the subject matter.

Abstract

Menurut survei yang dilakukan oleh Health Collaborative Center (HCC) tahun 2024 yang melibatkan 898 orang terutama wanita, berkomitmen untuk mengurangi stres dan menghindari lingkungan berbahaya. Atas dasar tersebut penulis berfokus pada cara mempromosikan manfaat minuman matcha untuk kesehatan melalui produk indo green matcha Azzam Tea. yang kaya akan katekin, kafein, dan L-tehanin, telah terbukti meningkatkan kewaspadaan, memori, ketenangan pikiran, dan fungsi kognitif lainnya. Oleh karena itu, penulis mengusulkan Perancangan Strategi Kreatif Brand Attributes Pada Merek Azzam Tea Dalam Meningkatkan Awareness Gen Z. untuk Membentuk Brand Attributes dan promosi. Diperlukanya pesan promosi. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dan teknik pengumpulan data seperti studi pustaka, observasi, wawancara, dan kuisioner. Abstract

Since the Covid 19 virus spread around the world in 2020, the virus has affected almost every aspect of people's lives in Indonesia. From the economy, society, and education. Students are taking online classes without knowing when they will come back to school or college. Many students became detached from society and had social withdrawal. This research aims to explore the phenomenon of social isolation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, especially in teenagers and young adults and how this phenomenon can be used as a basis for developing a short film as a final project. Through a several data collection method such as literature review, observations, questionnaires and analysis from the references of several similar works, this research seeks to identify that the pandemic has caused drastic changes in teenagers and young adult social lives, with restrictions such as lockdowns and social distancing triggering self-isolation and deep feelings of loneliness. Based on the data that will be obtained, the author intends to produce a short film that depicts in detail the emotional experiences of teenagers and young adults during social isolation, exploring feelings of loneliness, worries about the future, and their efforts to find human connections in difficult situations. Abstract

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, all activities around the world had been halted and people are required to stay inside their houses until further notice. Indonesia, as one of the affected countries, has had setbacks on many sectors especially in the education field. This research is done to analyse and dive into the effect of social isolation due to COVID 19 towards the mental health of students using a cinematic narrative. With the creation and portrayal of the short film "Bayangku, Bayangmu," it aims to depict how isolated individuals felt during the pandemic era in a cinematic view. The sense of detachment from society and having severe social withdrawal is a phenomenon that many people can relate and interpret differently, hence why many interpretations in the form of moving visual media had been made. This moving visual media artwork is used not only as a platform that gives people perspectives of the phenomenon, but also as a representation of the unheard feelings of a tormented-individuals. With the author involvement in the production of this movie as the editor, author will integrate editing technique, colour grading and sound design into the film to enhance and create a cinematically appealing psychological-drama film about social isolation for audience to watch. Methodologically, qualitative analysis such as observation, questionnaire, interview, literature and visual review are used to gain more insights and knowledge as reference for editing. In conclusion, the main goal of the short film "Bayangku, Bayangmu" is that it can be seen not only through a cinematic view, but also through the mental health aspect which had been represented. Abstract

Abstrak: Dalam perkembangan dunia  industri saat  ini,  alat pendingin merupakan  salah satu alat yang sangat penting bagi kehidupan manusia, Khususnya bagi masyarakat yang tinggal  di  kota  Jakarta. Namun,  di  sisi  lain  gas  buangan  dari  alat  pendingin membuat temperatur bumi semakin meningkat. Hal ini terjadi karena penggunaan bahan pendingin buatan (syntetic refrigerant) berbahan chlorourcarbon dapat merusak lapisan ozon bumi. Ketika terlepas ke atmosfer, freon (CFC) akan berubah menjadi karbondioksida yang akan menambah kepadatan gas rumah kaca di atmosfer, freon juga mengakibatkan penipisan lapisan ozon bumi. Sehingga sinar ultraviolet matahari masuk ke bumi secara langsung dan meningkatkan  suhu  bumi. Melalui  Kementrian  Lingkungan Hidup  dan  Kehutanan, pemerintah  Indonesia  sudah  melaksanakan  program  untuk  mengurangi  penggunaan Bahan perusak ozon (BPO) yang bernama Protokol Montreal, program  ini memberikan solusi  berupa  bahan  alternatif  yang  lebih  ramah  lingkungan  yaitu  Hydrofluorocarbon (HFC). Namun, karena kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat dan kesiapan industri membuat program  ini  berjalan  sangat  lamban.  Tujuan  dari  penelitian  ini  adalah  terancangnya sebuah kampanye edukasi, untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat di kota Jakarta. Penelitian  ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang dianalisis lebih  lanjut menggunakan model  AISAS  dan  AOI.  Hasilnya  berupa  rancangan  kegiatan  kampanye  dalam  bentuk virtual event, challenge, dan media sosial. Kata Kunci: bahaya CFC dan HCFC, HFC, kampanye sosial, lapisan ozon.

Abstract

Abstrak:  Maraknya  brand  lokal  untuk  produk  fashion  di  kota  bandung  dikarenakan munculnya budaya masa kini atau tren yang seiring berjalannya waktu akan terus berubah. Ini yang membuat mereka kini berlomba-lomba untuk menciptakan sebuah inovasi pakaian yang  yang  cukup  fleksibel  dan  bisa  dipakai  di  acara  apapun,  salah  satunya  adalah  brand Schouten.  Tidak  semua masyarakat  di  kota  Bandung mengenal  brand  ini  secara pasti,  itu dikarenakan  kurangnya  promosi  yang  kuat  dari  brand  Schouten.  Beberapa  promosi  yang dilakukan terlihat sangat biasa saja sehingga tidak menyentuh target sasar. Adapun beberapa metode dalam pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara,  dan  kuesioner.  Apabila  data  sudah  terkumpul, maka  dapat  dianalisis  dengan menggunakan  matriks  perbandingan.  Dalam  penelitian  ini  disimpulkan  bahwa  strategi perancangan  promosi  yang  dilakukan,  yaitu  dengan  mengadakan  Strategic  partnership berupa  kolaborasi  dengan  brand  lain  dalam  bidang  fashion  yang  bertujuan  untuk meningkatkan ketertarikan dari konsumen. Hasil perancangan ditujukan pada media sosial Schouten  dengan  memvisualisasikan  desain  promosi  untuk  meningkatkan  growth  serta penjualan Schouten.  Kata Kunci: desain promosi, media promosi, schouten, strategi promosi, UMKM
