Abstract

Hypertension is one of the most prevalent chronic diseases in Indonesia, affecting 34.1% of adults over 18 years according to the 2018 National Health Survey. Effective hypertension management requires an integrated health information system for continuous monitoring. The Indonesian government, through Ministry of Health Regulation No. 24/2022, mandates hospitals to implement Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and integrate them with the SATUSEHAT national platform. This study aims to analyze the readiness of Dharma Yadnya General Hospital Denpasar to develop an integrated hypertension management module within the EMR system using the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework. A qualitative approach was employed through in-depth interviews, observations, and document review. Eleven informants participated, representing medical record officers, IT staff, physicians, and hospital management. Findings indicate that from the technological dimension, the hospital has basic infrastructure such as servers, internal networks, and a fully implemented EMR since 2024, though a dedicated hypertension module is absent. From the organizational dimension, management and staff show strong commitment and readiness to adopt the new system with proper training, while limited IT human resources and manual hypertension SOPs remain barriers. From the environmental dimension, government regulations, the SATUSEHAT program, and vendor support are identified as key external drivers. The study concludes that the hospital has strong potential to implement an EMR-based hypertension management module with recommendations on hardware procurement, IT capacity building, and SOP integration.

Abstract

Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem that affects physical growth, cognitive development, and the productivity of future generations. Prevention efforts need to be carried out upstream, including among adolescents who will become future parents. This community service program aimed to empower adolescents in preventing stunting risk factors through knowledge enhancement, nutrition education, and health screening. The program was implemented at Bali Dewata Health Vocational School in June 2025, involving five lecturers and two students from STIKES Wira Medika Bali. The activities included coordination with the school and primary health center, pretest, health education sessions, health screening (blood pressure measurement and medical history), distribution of educational booklets, and a posttest to evaluate knowledge improvement. A total of 61 students participated in the program. The results showed a significant increase in knowledge about stunting prevention, with the proportion of students in the “good” category rising from 50.8% to 88.5%. Health screening also revealed a small number of students with anemia, a condition that may contribute to future stunting in their offspring. This program highlights the crucial role of adolescents as agents of change in stunting prevention through healthy lifestyles, balanced nutrition, and peer education. With the active involvement of schools, health centers, and students, the program successfully improved adolescent awareness of stunting issues and produced outputs in the form of scientific publication and educational media. Continuous monitoring is planned to ensure program sustainability.

Abstract

Electronic Medical Records (EMR) have become one of the key pillars of digital health transformation, particularly in improving documentation efficiency, quality of care, and patient data integration. However, the implementation of EMR in various countries, including Indonesia, still faces several challenges such as limited infrastructure, user resistance, data standardization issues, and information security concerns. This study is a scoping review aimed at mapping the challenges and strategies of EMR implementation based on relevant literature from the past ten years. Articles were searched through PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar using the keywords “electronic medical record,” “implementation challenges,” and “strategies.” The review findings indicate that the main barriers to EMR implementation include technical factors (interoperability, infrastructure costs), human factors (digital literacy of healthcare professionals, resistance to change), and organizational factors (management support, policies, and regulations). Strategies frequently recommended in the literature include continuous training, early stakeholder engagement in the planning phase, clear national policies, and strengthening data security and privacy. This study provides a comprehensive overview of the dynamics of EMR implementation and can serve as a basis for decision-making by healthcare managers and policymakers in supporting digital health transformation. Abstract

Konsumsi minuman beralkohol di kalangan remaja merupakan permasalahan kesehatan masyarakat berpotensi menimbulkan dampak kesehatan dan sosial. Rendahnya pengetahuan mengenai bahaya konsumsi alkohol serta minimnya pemahaman tentang deteksi alkohol dan pencatatan hasil pemeriksaan kesehatan menjadi faktor pemdorong perlunya upaya edukatif yang terstruktur. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kewaspadaan remaja terhadap bahaya konsumsi alkohol, memperkenalkan tata cara pengelolaan spesimen urine untuk pemeriksaan kandungan alkohol, serta meningkatkan pemahaman tentang pencatatan rekam medis elektronik di lingkungan sekolah. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada siswa kelas X melalui penyampaian materi, diskusi, simulasi, serta evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan seluruh peserta menyatakan pentingnya penyuluhan bahaya alkohol. Evaluasi post-test menunjukkan peningkatan tingkat pengetahuan siswa tentang bahaya konsumsi alkohol dengan kategori baik sebesar 91%. Pemahaman siswa mengenai pengelolaan spesimen urine dan pemeriksaan alkohol secara kualitatif berada pada kategori baik sebesar 87%. Peningkatan pengetahuan juga terjadi pada aspek pencatatan rekam medis elektronik dengan kategori baik sebesar 90%. Kegiatan ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan, wawasan, dan pemahaman remaja mengenai bahaya alkohol, deteksi alkohol melalui urine, serta pentingnya pencatatan kesehatan yang baik. Pengabdian masyarakat ini diharapkan dapat menjadi langkah preventif dalam upaya peningkatan kualitas kesehatan masyarakat melalui pemberdayaan remaja sebagai agen perubahan di lingkungan sekolah dan Masyarakat.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pelaksanaan pelayanan yang bermutu menjadi indikator keberhasilan rumah sakit dalam menjamin bahwa pelayanan kesehatan berjalan dengan adil, efektif, efisien serta berorientasi kepada kepuasan pasien. Pentingya penyelenggaraan pelayanan kesehatan yang berbasis mutu menjadi tuntutan bagi pelayanan kesehatan. Untuk mencapai mutu pelayanan kesehatan yang baik, pentingnya untuk menyusun strategi kebijakan internal rumah sakit guna mencapai sasaran mutu pelayanan pasien. Penelitian ini disusun dan difokuskan dalam Upaya mendapatkan strategi kebijakan internal yang memiliki pengaruh penting dalam pelaksanaan mutu pelayanan kesehatan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Tahapan dalam penelitian ini yaitu merumuskan masalah penelitian, menelusuri literatur, menilai kualitas penelitian, menggabungkan hasil dan meletakkan temuan dalam konteks. Penelitian ini menggunakan kerangka PICO (Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome). Artikel yang dipilih dalam rentang waktu tahun 2021 hingga tahun 2025. Proses pencarian data dilakukan melalui beberapa basis data terindeks, yaitu Google Scholar, PubMed dan Science Direct. Seluruh proses ini kemudian sajikan menggunakan alur Diagram PRISMA Flow. Hasil penelitian didapatkan 16 Artikel yang dilakukan analisis. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan patient safety yang sesuai standart, pelaksanaan akreditasi pada pelayanan Kesehatan dan penerapan Rekam Medis Elektronik berpengaruh terhadap mutu pelayanan kesehatan di RS. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah strategi Kebijakan Internal yang dapat diimplementasikan dalam Upaya peningkatan mutu pelayanan kesehatan dibagi menjadi tiga aspek ( patient safety, akreditasi dan Rekam Medik Elektronik). Ketiga aspek hasil penelitian ini relevan sebagai dasar perumusan kebijakan internal rumah sakit dalam peningkatan mutu pelayanan melalui penguatan patient safety, pemenuhan standar akreditasi, dan optimalisasi penerapan rekam medis elektronik. The importance of providing quality-based healthcare services has become a demand for health services. To achieve good quality in healthcare services, it is crucial to develop internal policy strategies within the hospital aimed at meeting the quality objectives for patient care. This research is organized and focused on efforts to obtain internal policy strategies that significantly influence the implementation of quality healthcare services. The research method employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The stages of this research include formulating, searching the literature, assessing the quality of research, combining results, and placing findings in context. This study uses PICO framework (Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome). The selected articles span the years 2021 to 2025. The data search process is conducted through several indexed databases, namely Google Scholar, PubMed, and Science Direct. The entire process is then presented using a PRISMA Flow Diagram. The research identified 16 articles for analysis. The results of the analysis indicate that the implementation of patient safety that meets standards, the implementation of accreditation in health services, and the application of Electronic Medical Records influence the quality of healthcare services in hospitals. The conclusion of this research is that internal policy strategies that can be implemented to improve the quality of healthcare services are divided into three aspects ( patient safety, accreditation, and Electronic Medical Records).  The findings provide empirical support for hospital management in formulating internal policies aimed at enhancing service quality through strengthening patient safety practices, meeting accreditation standards, and optimizing the use of electronic medical records.   Keywords: Quality, Healthcare, Hospital

Abstract

Medical record confidentiality is a fundamental component of healthcare services that ensures patient data protection and strengthens public trust in healthcare institutions. In the era of digital health transformation, awareness and understanding of data security among future health workers remain essential, particularly in supporting stunting prevention programs that rely on accurate and protected health data. This community service activity aimed to improve participants’ knowledge and awareness regarding the importance of medical record confidentiality. The program was conducted through preparatory activities, interactive educational sessions, and evaluation using pre-test and post-test methods. The results demonstrated an increase in participants’ knowledge, as indicated by higher post-test scores compared to pre-test results, along with active engagement during the sessions. The outputs of this activity included educational materials, activity documentation, and planned scientific publication. This program contributes to promoting safe, ethical, and data-driven healthcare services while supporting stunting prevention efforts. Abstract

The implementation of a digital health information system in improving the quality of hospital services, especially in the management of electronic medical records (ERM). Although it has been implemented, various obstacles are still found such as system disruptions, delays in data input, and limited user capabilities. Therefore, this study is aimed evaluate the digital health information system in medical record management using the HOT-Fit method at Dharma Yadnya General Hospital. The study method used is a qualitative descriptive study with a case study approach. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews. The number of Participants is 25 informants the EMR system. Out of those participants, 7 key informants were selected using a purposive sampling technique based on certain criteria, namely officers who were directly involved and had experience in using the system. The selection of informants was carried out until data saturation was achieved (data saturation), observation, and documentation of several informants involved in using the system. Data analysis was carried out by referring to the HOT-Fit model components, namely human, organizational, technological, and net benefit aspects. The results of the study showed that from the human aspect, users felt the system helped their work. From an organizational perspective, management and policy support are in place, but monitoring and evaluation are not yet optimal. From a technological perspective, the system is considered quite good, but technical challenges such as errors and downtime persist. The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of the digital health information system at Dharma Yadnya General Hospital has been quite successful, but not optimal in several HOT-Fit aspects. Improved human resource training, strengthened organizational support, and improved technological infrastructure are needed to optimize the system's benefits.
