Abstract

Education we now have a very sharp scrutiny of the public. Our education is considered to have failed in shaping the personality of the learners. That's because, first; many phenomena frequent fighting between students, orgy, party drugs, and some acts of violence committed by a student, whether it be in school or outside of school. Second; the phenomenon of widespread culture of corruption committed by some unscrupulous Executive, Legislative, and Judiciary. Of some of the above phenomenon, there is a common thread that we can draw from the cause of the behavior disorders. According to the author, it is due to the implementation of the education we only emphasize the sheer cognitive aspects, while aspects of affective, psychomotor, and spiritually is still largely untouched. So practical education we can only give birth to a smart and intelligent, but do not have a noble character. This paper seeks to provide a solution to the problems of our national education with a design-religus humanist education. In-religious humanist education, process or means it is more important than the end or outcome. The process is more concerned with the function of education, not a forced output, also not just the pursuit of value as is currently happening in the world of our national education. In this paper described how the philosophical foundations, curriculum and materials, methods and teaching and learning, educational objectives, and evaluation model-religious humanist education.

Abstract

Indonesian nation consist of many kind of culture, ethnic, race, religion, etc. At one side that diversity is a treasure of Indonesian, but at other side it triggers social conflict. Conflict that happens about three decade of New Order power is because our education always teaching similarity (uniformity) and averse plurality. Therefore, this paper suggested multicultural education as solution to this problem. Multicultural education has to be implemented on learning process at school. It not necessarily became separated lesson, but can integrated to every lesson . Multicultural education is a process to cultivating attitude to respect each other, honest, and tolerant to cultural diversity that exit on the plural society. With multicultural education we hope there’s toughness and flexibility of this nation to face the clash of social conflict.

Abstract

Layanan guru bimbingan konseling merupakan upaya preventif agar siswa tidak berada di jalan yang salah, siswa- siswa yang mempunyai masalah tidak bisa mengentaskan masalahnya sendiri, mereka membutuhkan sosok yang dapat membantu dalam pengentasan masalahnya. Apalagi dalam kasus siswa broken home pada remaja, dimana siswa berada dalam fase pencarian jati diri, dan siswa broken home berbeda dengan siswa lainnya, mereka memiliki masalah pribadi yang cukup serius, salah satunya kehilangan motivasi belajar. melalui layanan Bimbingan dan Konseling diharapkan dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa yang mengalami broken home pada siswa kelas IX SMPN 1 Balongan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan instrumen pengumpulan menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa layanan guru bimbingan konseling dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa broken home di kelas IX sudah berjalan dengan baik. Teknik layanan yang diberikan adalah dengan individu, kelompok dan home visit.

Abstract

Adolescents are in a transitional period where they seek their identity. Their thoughts and stances are constantly changing. If teenagers get good guidance from adults, they will become valuable people for themselves and their environment. Otherwise, they will be in doubt. Eventually, they will fall into a negative direction that will harm them. The purpose of this study is to explain the internalization of the values of faith and piety in the formation of personality through learning contemporary science. This research was conducted using a descriptive-analytic method with a quantitative approach. While the data collection steps used in this study were interviews, participatory observation, documentation studies, and questionnaires, The results of this study indicate that the teacher's efforts to internalize the values of faith and piety in the formation of student personality at Al Azhar 5 Islamic High School in Cirebon City through modern science learning, which includes praying before and after learning, reciting the Koran for 15 minutes the first hour before teaching and learning activities, and linking the subject matter to the content of faith and piety (imtaq), are categorized as very good based on student response data obtained by 82.2%. The obstacles faced by teachers in internalizing the values of faith and piety in the formation of students' personalities at SMA Islam Al Azhar 5 in Cirebon City through modern science learning include the lack of understanding of some teachers of non-Islamic religious education subjects in linking subjects with faith and piety.

Abstract

Character education in the world of education is very important in measuring the moral development of students in school. This is a provision for the future when living in a community environment. Character education begins with the way of thinking and behaving that each individual has within the scope of his life as values ​​in thinking and behavior that encourage individuals to have an attitude of responsibility for what they have done. The aim is to be able to bring about changes in the behavior of quality students and be able to achieve their goals in the learning process. Apart from that, students can be pioneers in implementing good character so that other friends can emulate them. It is very important to do this every day with routine and sincerity so that it becomes a good habit. This type of research is qualitative research. Qualitative research is research that explains phenomena or symptoms in detail and provides responses to research subjects. The results of this research explain that character education implemented in the independent curriculum education unit has been determined in the Pancasia Student Profile which includes having faith and devotion to God Almighty, global diversity, mutual cooperation, independence, critical reasoning and creativity. So teachers of Islamic Religious Education and Character Education subjects must provide a form of character education in PAI lessons to achieve success in the learning process. These forms are discipline, devotion, honesty, self-awareness, responsibility and empathy. Then, there are two steps that must be used to achieve success in achieving character education properly and correctly as an effort to form the morality of wise and wise students. These steps take the form of habituation and supervision.

Abstract

Currently, the Science Integration paradigm that is promoted by UIN in Indonesia is still trapped in discourse, trapped in endless conceptual polemics. However, UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi has a very heavy responsibility and scientific work, namely breaking down the walls of the dichotomy of science (religion and general, world and the hereafter) which has been so strong. Some of the analyzes above, regarding the advantages, disadvantages, challenges and threats of this paradigm of trans-integration of science at UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi in general show: (1) Institutionally, it cannot be denied that UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi has a steady status and existence as an Islamic higher education institution in Indonesia. UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi skyrocketed very significantly from rank 425 to 114. (2) The first glaring weakness is the existence of an instant culture among the academic community of UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi. This instant culture leads to an impatient way of thinking, eager to see the desired success immediately. (3) In addition to strengths and weaknesses, it should also be noted that there are several opportunities that can be exploited by the paradigm of trans-integration of knowledge at UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi, namely the very clear opportunity that can be called the need for contemporary Islamic education for theories and concepts that linking the religious sciences and general sciences, religious sciences and the social sciences of the humanities. (4) UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi which applies the paradigm of trans-integration of knowledge must also pay attention to mis-understandings and suspicions about Islam, because UIN is a campus that develops Islamic identity. It is undeniable that at this time many parties, especially in the West, view Islam as a terrorist, fundamentalist, or radical group that endangers human civilization. (5) Trans-integration of knowledge at UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifunddin Jambi itself contributes a valuable mindset for the development of contemporary science, namely the awareness not to be exclusive, not to be confined to certain scientific disciplines.

Abstract

Based on the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) survey in 2022, Indonesia's education quality is ranked bottom 10 out of 14 countries. This shows that the low level of critical thinking skills is caused by an ineffective learning process. So a method is needed, namely an effective deliberation method in the learning process. This study aims: (1) to find out how the application of the deliberation method used by students, (2) to find out how the level of critical thinking of students, (3) to find out the effectiveness of the deliberation method in improving the critical thinking skills of students of Pondok Darussalam Buntet Pesantren Cirebon. This study used quantitative descriptive research with a correlational research approach. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. In addition, the analytical techniques used are validity tests, reliability tests, normality tests, homogeneity tests, hypothesis tests, product moment correlations, coefficients of determination, and significance tests (t tests). The results of this study are: (1) Application of the deliberation method of fiqh book study at the Darussalam Buntet Islamic boarding school in the very good category with a value of 87.28% which is in the interval of 80% - 100%,  (2) Improvement of critical thinking skills of students of the Darussalam Buntet Islamic boarding school in Cirebon is included in the very good category with a value of 82.24% which is in the interval of 80% - 100%, (3) The effect of applying the deliberation method of fiqh book study on the critical thinking ability of students of the Darussalam Buntet Islamic boarding school in Cirebon shows a positive correlation of 0.713 which shows a high correlation because it is in the interval 0.60 – 0.799. Then the value of the coefficient of determination is 50.83%, the remaining 49.17 is influenced by other factors. This shows that the influence of the application of the deliberation method of fiqh book study on the critical thinking ability of Pondok Darussalam Buntet Pesantren Cirebon students is significant or effective.

Abstract

Integration of science and religion means combining science and religion. However, it does not completely mix them because they have their own characteristics. The integration of science and religion is a very possible thing in Islamic paradigm because it is based on the concept of tauhid. It is necessary for science and religion to emerge the awareness of holistic and comprehensive concept in education. By integrating science and religion especially in Islamic education system, the students will be motivated to conduct a scientific research by linking it to religion. Moreover, it will also encourage the teachers to be more creative in teaching the students and educate the school participants to respect other religions as well.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze trends and developments in Islamic education management research in Indonesia from 2015 to 2025. The method employed is bibliometric analysis, utilizing a quantitative approach. This study includes 107 documents published by 371 authors, with an average document age of 3.02 years. This bibliometric analysis uses VOSviewer and Biblioshiny software. This study found a significant surge in Islamic Education Management publications in Indonesia, with an annual growth rate of 21.48%, particularly in 2022 and 2023, and a notable contribution from religious universities, such as UIN Sunan Kalijaga. The change in topics indicates a shift from a normative approach towards digitalization, interdisciplinarity, and technology-based institutional strategies, including responses to crises such as the pandemic. However, a significant gap remains in integrative studies that combine applied science with cutting-edge research technology, presenting strategic opportunities for the future development of Islamic Education Management research. This research provides a data-driven reference for developing a national research strategy in Islamic Education Management and a roadmap for scientific collaboration. Further research can focus on strengthening interdisciplinary research, integrating digital technologies, and collaborative networks across countries and institutions.
