Abstract

The design of the wet coffee peeler machine carried out by Fahrul Rozi Seregar requires specific calculations of the lifting strength both against stress, strain and safety of factors. This analysis determines the performance capability of the machine on the ASTM A36 material used in the frame, which is safe for long-term use. Therefore, calculations were carried out on the framework using the finite element method assisted by the 2014 Solidworks software. In order to facilitate this test, model validation was carried out which aims to get the percentage of manual and theoretical calculations. Then the results obtained, the determination of the x,y and z axis points obtained a difference in calculation of 0%, 015,% and 0% and the determination of the safety factor for the U 450mm profile with a load of 80N obtained a difference of 0.018% then the results of the safety of the factor U profile 420mm with a load 58.666N and 21.333N, the difference in calculation is 0.030%, 0.011%, after that bending testing is carried out and BMD (Bending Moment Diagram) is obtained which is the engineering section that handles problems with the ASTM A36 material structure on the frame, the calculation difference is 4.68%. So from The difference between manual and theoretical calculations is the largest 4.68% in bending testing and at least 0% is obtained in determining the midpoint of the U profile with respect to the x and y axes. Abstract

Metallurgical furnaces are needed in the metal forming process, the furnaces that have been analyzed by Ongki prima widodo are only capable of reaching the highest temperature of 1400oC, with a long burning process, a modification was made by moving the furnace openings in a ratio of 30:70cm to 15:85cm. Changes in the position of the openings are expected to increase the heat flow to the compressor pressure rate, so that the heat flow easily propagates and the temperature rises. With changes in the position of the opening and enlargement of the hole, where the initial temperature of 300oC increases to 1432oC, with a time of 300 seconds, so that the rate of heat change is equivalent to the rate of change of compressor pressure of 38.6 km/h with a temperature change of 713oC. Testing the furnace with the addition of compressor pressure and measuring the rate of change of temperature. From the measurement results, the heat flow changes from 3000C to 14320C, within 30 seconds to 300 seconds. The results of data collection obtained air pressure (P) 18.2 km/h, 19.3 km/h, 20 km/h, 22.5 km/h, 38.6 km/h. The results of the analysis within 30s with an air pressure of 18.2 km/h obtained a temperature of 305.8oC an increase in temperature, 38.6 km/h air pressure obtained a temperature of 713.5oC, at a time of 300 seconds with an air pressure of 18.2 km/h. h obtained a temperature of 665.3oC the increase in temperature. Pressure 38.6 km/h obtained a temperature of 1110oC. This modification of the furnace opening changes can reach a final temperature of 1432°C.Keywords: furnace re-heating, heat transfer,temperature and forging.

Abstract

Sweeping the floor is not a hard job, sweeping activities will be hard and take up a lot of time if the area to be worked on is very large like in UM-West Sumatra. To simplify and save time, it is necessary to innovate a floor sweeper. The push system floor sweeper is a form of innovation that facilitates the process of sweeping the floor. In this study a thrust system floor sweeper was designed and manufactured. The design process begins with identification of needs, concept design, design and analysis using the fabrication method, then this tool is tested in a room of 35.28 meters, 61.2 meters and 122.4 meters. From the trials conducted, it was found that the floor sweeper functions properly and can clean large and spacious rooms with 50% efficiency. Thus it can be concluded that a floor sweeper can simplify the process of sweeping the floor by 50% compared to an ordinary broom.

Abstract

This research to design a smaller and easy to operate meatball maker machine. This design will simplify, speed up and minimize the energy expended in the meatball maker machine. Simulation of frame strength using Solidwork 2018. The simulation value of von Mises stress on the frame is with a maximum stress of 10,550,430.00 N/m2 and a minimum of 90,629 N/m2 with a yield strength of 250,000,000.00 N/m2. Displacement in the simulation of displacement is with a maximum value of 0.154 mm and a minimum of 0.000 mm. The value of the safety factor from the simulation results is 24. Static simulation results of the strength of the meatball printing machine frame using ASTM A36 Steel L 30 mm x 30 mm 3 mm thick with a load of 25 kg, the frame is able to withstand engine performance during operation.

Abstract

Analysis of the design of this energy-efficient stove for distributing the results from the HHO (Hydrogen Hydrogen Oxygen) generator and turning this HHO into a fire. The purpose of this analysis is to determine the strength of the stove frame with the maximum load it can accommodate. This stove is made with a design and structure that is larger in scale with new innovations that combine metal materials and concrete materials where the two materials are combined to create a sturdy and strong stove structure, the structure of this stove is innovated from the stove in general. The result of the force diagram shows that the bending stress of the weld seam is smaller than the allowable stress of the material, namely: wb = 8, 03×10-3 180 N/mm2. Therefore the stove is safe to use.

Abstract

Re-heating furnace is a furnace that is used as a metal heater in the forging process. Re-heating furnace is one of the needs of the material technology laboratory to carry out the practical process of metal forming with plastic deformation as a heating medium for the forging process. The manufacture of this re-heating furnace is to make tools using medium carbon metal with a target temperature of 800℃. The process of making the furnace uses K300 type concrete material, 8mm reinforcing steel so that the furnace can be strong and durable. The furnace manufacture has succeeded in reaching a temperature of 302.8°C in 10 seconds using an air velocity of 15.4 km/h, and reaching a temperature of 931.8°C in 100 seconds using an air velocity of 25.7 km/h. This Re-heating Furnace can heat low-high carbon steel for forging process.

Abstract

This project outlines the design and construction of an open forging machine equipped with a 1.5 HP electric motor and a 5 kg hammer for use in the Material Technology Laboratory. The primary objective was to create a versatile and controlled environment for forging and shaping materials. The project began with the conceptualization and design phase, where the layout and components of the machine were planned. Materials were carefully selected for durability and performance. Construction was meticulously carried out with an emphasis on safety.The machine underwent rigorous testing to ensure it met the laboratory's specific requirements, and adjustments were made for optimal performance. Fine-tuning was performed to calibrate the machine, addressing temperature control, speed, and pressure settings. The completed open forging machine promises to enhance research capabilities in material technology, facilitating experiments in material science and research. Abstract

One of the processed products derived from coconut that has great demand in the world of health and beauty industry is virgin coconut oil or known as VCO. Most VCO is processed manually using conventional methods with unhygienic plastic containers and placement in open spaces by the home industries. This research is to develop a VCO-fermented tank that was able to maintain hygiene and low temperature during the fermentation process by using SS403 and teak wood insulation as the main materials. This research carries on by comparing the fermentation process and results between the conventional method and the new VCO tank. 41% VCO is produced from raw coconut milk using a new VCO tank which is 5% higher than the conventional method. The VCO fermented tank produced more VCO and was able to maintain lower temperatures compared to the conventional method and also can be operated with less procedure order.     Keywords: Fermentation Tank, Temperature Retaine, VCO, Virgin Coconut Oil

Abstract

Religious counselors play an important role in society. Islamic religious counselors act as mentors. According to Bloomfield in Gazali, Guide means to direct, guide or organize. In general, early marriage, namely marrying two people, one or both of whom are under 18 years of age, is still a serious problem in almost two-thirds of countries in the world (Yildirim et al., 2019). Although the practice of early marriage is legal, it is widely considered a violation of human rights and abuse, especially of adolescent girls. This research with the title "Islamic Counseling Strategy to Prevent Early Marriage" uses a qualitative method with a literature approach that focuses on studying reading sources. This research aims to find out how to prevent marriage using Islamic counseling strategies. A counselor is someone who can provide enlightenment to people who are experiencing spiritual problems. Religious counselors generally implement premarital counseling through information and consultation services (Albanna et al., 2019). This aims to provide information service assistance to teenagers to make appropriate and correct decisions based on the information obtained. In general, society sees people who enter into early marriage because of extramarital relationships because their behavior can no longer be controlled as a manifestation of social conditions in society. Apart from that, teenagers are psychologically not ready to face various problems that arise in marriage. This leads to domestic violence and many divorces at a young age. Disputes and divorce are common problems for young couples. In this research, marriage should be carried out at a mature and mature age. The bad impact of early marriage is in terms of biological children, and health risks for the woman or wife. Therefore, for teenagers who have not yet reached a mature and mature age, as a result, marriage will not last long. Keywords: Islamic Counseling, Early Marriage, Communication Strategy
