Abstract

Mathematical comprehension ability is one of the most important aspects in learning mathematics, but the facts show that students' mathematical comprehension ability is still low, especially in the content of Sequences and Series. One effort to facilitate this problem is by using Student Worksheets based on Problem Based Learning. The purpose of this study is to develop valid and practical Student Worksheets. This development research refers to the 4D development model which includes define, design, develop, and disseminate. The instruments used are validation questionnaires and practicality questionnaires. The results of the validation questionnaire data analysis obtained that the Student Worksheets were categorized as very valid with an average percentage of 95.07%. The results of the practicality questionnaire data analysis obtained that the Student Worksheets were categorized as very practical with an average percentage of 89.38%. Thus, the Student Worksheets in this study have met the requirements for validity and practicality so that they can be used in learning activities. The implication of this study is to make it easier for students to build knowledge independently in mathematics learning so that mathematical comprehension abilities can be facilitated.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to develop instructional materials for teaching statistics using a contextual teaching and learning strategy. The goal is to enhance the mathematical connection abilities of eighth-grade junior high school students. The materials are designed to meet the criteria of validity and practicality. The present study involves the development of a 4-D model, encompassing the stages of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The validation process was carried out by involving three experts. Data pertaining to the feasibility of the teaching materials were acquired through testing conducted on eighth-grade students in a junior high school. The present study examines the validation outcomes of teaching materials, which were categorised as highly valid. Based on the findings of the readability assessment, it was determined that the average score for the "easy to understand" category was 86.97%. In addition, the practicality test meets the "very practical" category. These findings indicate that the use of a contextual approach in statistics material effectively improves students' mathematical connection abilities. This technique proves to be legitimate, easily comprehensible, and particularly beneficial for promoting the development of mathematical connections among eighth-grade junior high school students. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan dalam pengembangan bahan ajar untuk pengajaran statistika menggunakan strategi pengajaran dan pembelajaran kontekstual untuk meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa SMP kelas delapan. Materi dirancang untuk memenuhi kriteria validitas dan kepraktisan. Penelitian ini melibatkan pengembangan model 4-D, yang mencakup tahapan Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate. Proses validasi dilakukan dengan melibatkan tiga orang ahli. Data mengenai kelayakan bahan ajar diperoleh melalui pengujian yang dilakukan pada siswa kelas delapan di sekolah menengah pertama. Penelitian ini mengkaji hasil validasi bahan ajar yang dikategorikan sangat valid. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian keterbacaan yang dilakukan, diperoleh bahwa skor rata-rata untuk kategori "mudah dipahami" adalah 86,97%. Selain itu, uji kepraktisan memenuhi kategori "sangat praktis". Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan pendekatan kontekstual dalam materi statistika efektif meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa. Bahan ajar ini terbukti valid, mudah dipahami, dan sangat bermanfaat untuk mendorong pengembangan koneksi matematika di kalangan siswa kelas delapan SMP.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini berupa pembinaan guru pembimbing Olimpiade Sains Nasional (OSN) bidang Matematika di Sekolah Menengah se Kecamatan Siak. Pembinaan ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat kompetensi guru dalam memahami materi OSN Matematika yang lebih mendalam dan kompleks, serta mengembangkan strategi pembelajaran yang inovatif dan efektif dalam membimbing siswa. Program pembinaan mencakup pretest, penyajian materi, diskusi, dan latihan soal-soal olimpiade yang mencakup bidang Aljabar, Geometri, Teori bilangan dan Kombinatorik. Selain itu, pembinaan ini juga menekankan pada penguasaan teknik problem solving dan pengajaran berorientasi pada pemikiran kritis serta analisis matematis yang tinggi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa Pembinaan Guru Pembimbing OSN bidang Matematika SMA/MA Kecamatan Siak dapat memberdayakan guru bidang studi Matematika di Kecamatan Siak dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal Olimpiade, memotivasi guru pendamping dan pemangku kebijakan untuk mengikutsertakan siswa dalam ajang OSN bidang Matematika, baik yang dilaksanakan oleh pemerintah maupun pihak lainnya. Melalui pembinaan yang berkelanjutan, guru pembimbing dapat lebih siap dalam mendukung siswa untuk bersaing secara kompetitif dan inovatif di bidang Matematika.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis (KKM) peserta didik fase D di SMPN 4 Tambang dengan menerapkan Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi statistika. Penelitian ini menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang melibatkan seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII yang meliputi 32 peserta didik kelas VIII_3 SMPN 4 Tambang. Penelitian dilakukan sebanyak empat pertemuan dan dilakukan pada semester genap tahun 2023/2024. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari instrumen pengumpul data yang meliputi lembar pengamatan dan tes KKM. Teknik pengumpul data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah teknik pengamatan dan teknik tes KKM. Data diperoleh melalui tes KKM dan observasi aktivitas peserta didik selama proses pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan PBL dapat memperbaiki proses pembelajaran dan KKM peserta didik SMPN 4 Tambang dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Peningkatan KKM peserta didik dilihat dari hasil analisis KKM secara klasikal. Selain itu, penerapan PBL juga memfasilitasi peserta didik untuk lebih aktif berdiskusi, bertukar pendapat, serta mampu untuk mengungkapkan ide dan solusi matematis secara jelas dan sistematis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan PBL dapat meningkatkan proses pembelajaran dan meningkatkan KKM peserta didik SMPN 4 Tambang tahun pelajaran 2023/2024 pada konten statistika.

Abstract

Persiapan sumber daya manusia untuk mengahadapi era digital dinilai sangat penting, karena pada saat sekarang peran manusia mulai digantikan oleh mesin dan manusia diminta harus memiliki soft skill yang berhubungan dengan era digital. Digital Marketing merupakan salah satu media yang saat ini sedang banyak diminati oleh masyarakat serta sebagai pendukung dalam kegiatan sehari hari. Secara perlahan lahan banyak masyarakat yang mulai meninggalkan cara marketing yang konvensional dan beralih kepada Digital Marketing. Digital Marketing itu sendiri mempunyai arti memasarkan atau mempromosikan sebuah brand atau produk melalui dunia digital. Pemasaran digital adalah suatu bentuk kegiatan yang dijalankan oleh tenaga pemasar, baik itu perusahaan maupun individu dalam rangka melakukan pemasaran sebuah produk atau merek, baik itu produk barang maupun produk jasa dengan melalui pemanfaatan teknologi digital.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa perangkat pembelajaran matematika berbasis model discovery learning pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar kelas VIII SMP/MTs. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model 4- D, yaitu define (pendefenisian), design (perancangan), develop (pengembangan) dan desseminate (penyebaran). Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah instrumen validitas dan praktikalitas. Instrumen validitas berupa lembar penilaian validasi untuk menilai kevalidan perangkat pembelajaran berupa silabus, RPP dan LAS. Instrumen praktikalitas berupa angket respon siswa untuk menilai keterbacaan LAS. Perangkat pembelajaran yang sudah dikembangkan divalidasi oleh tiga validator. Uji coba kelompok kecil dilakukan pada siswa SMPN 8 Pekanbaru. Hasil analisis data kevalidan diperoleh nilai rata-rata untuk silabus, RPP dan LAS berturut-turut 3,78; 3,67; dan 3,59 yang dikategorikan sangat valid. Hasil analisis data kepraktisan LAS pada uji coba kelompok kecil adalah 3,72 dengan kategori sangat praktis. Penelitian pengembangan ini menghasilkan produk berupa perangkat pembelajaran matematika berbasis model discovery learning pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar meliputi silabus, RPP dan LAS yang valid dan LAS yang praktis.Kata Kunci: Pengembangan; Perangkat Pembelajaran; Model Discovery Learning; 4-D. Abstract. This research to produce a product in the form mathematical learning devices using discovery learning model on polyhedron material of class VIII SMP/MTs. The development model used is the 4-D model namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research instrument used is validity instrument and practicality. The validity instrument is a validation assessment sheet to assess the validity of learning tools form of syllabus, lesson plans and student worksheet. The practical instrument is a student response questionnaire to assess the readability of the LAS. The mathematical learning devices developed are validated by three validators. Small group trials were carried out on students of SMPN 8 Pekanbaru. The results of the validity data analysis obtained an average value for the syllabus, lesson plans and LAS respectively 3,78; 3,67; and 3,59 which are categorized as very valid. The results of the practicality data analysis of LAS in the small group trial were 3,72 with the very practical category. This research and development produces a product that is a mathematical learning device using discovery learning model on polyhedron material which includes valid syllabus, lesson plan and student worksheets and practical worksheets.Keywords: Research and Development; Learning Devices; Discovery Learning Model; 4-D.

Abstract

The success of students in learning mathematics cannot be separated from the mathematics learning process at school. In the learning process at school, improving learning outcomes is very necessary in order to obtain complete learning outcomes. Therefore, teachers must be able to apply learning models that can create a learning atmosphere that attracts students' attention, can train students' way of thinking to understand mathematical concepts and can play an active role in the learning process. So, teachers need to apply the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model to improve student activity and student learning outcomes. PBL helps students gather information, build new knowledge, and develop the skills needed for active and independent learning. The purpose of the study was to improve student learning outcomes. Data were collected through observation, tests, and documentation. Based on the results of the research that the researcher has conducted, it can be concluded that the application of the PBL model can improve the learning process and can improve the mathematics learning outcomes of class VIIIC students of UPT SMP Negeri 10 Tapung in the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year on the material of the Two Variable Linear Equation System.

Abstract

Students' poor mathematical literacy, particularly when it comes to the content of Two-Variable Linear Equation Systems (SPLDV), which calls for the ability to comprehend information, model it mathematically, and clearly communicate the solution's findings, is what spurred this study. This project intends to improve the learning process and increase students' mathematical literacy skills by using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach. Using the Classroom Action study (CAR) methodology created by Kemmis and McTaggart, the research was carried out in two cycles. Thirty students from SMP Negeri 4 Tambang's class during the even semester of the 2024–2025 school year served as the study subjects. Mathematical literacy competency tests and teacher and student activity observations were used to gather research data in the form of descriptions. The results of the study indicate that the application of CTL is able to improve the implementation of learning, marked by increased student activeness in asking questions, discussing, and expressing opinions, as well as a more consistent role of teachers as facilitators. In terms of learning outcomes, students' mathematical literacy skills improved from cycle I to cycle II, both in writing problem information, using appropriate concepts and procedures, and in drawing conclusions from solutions. Thus, it can be said that using CTL effectively raises the quality of mathematics instruction while also helping students become more mathematically literate while using the SPLDV content.

Abstract

The low Mathematical Problem Solving Ability of eighth grade students of MTs Baitul Amal Pekanbaru is the background of this research. This research aims to improve the learning process to increase the mathematical problem-solving ability students o through the application of the Problem Based Learning model with the context of Riau Malay culture. This research is a Classroom Action Research. Observation techniques, discussion techniques, and test techniques are data collection techniques used in this research. The increase in students' mathematical problem-solving ability is seen from the results of the analysis of the percentage of students who obtained the maximum score and the qualifications of students' mathematical problem-solving ability. The results of the study indicate that the application of  Problem Based Learning with the context of Riau Malay culture can improve the learning process and increase the mathematical problem-solving ability of eighth grade students of MTs Baitul Amal Pekanbaru on the content of two-variable linear equation systems.

Abstract

Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) are essential competencies that students must possess. Many students still exhibit low levels of HOTS. This study aims to develop a Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) instrument in comparison content for Phase D students. The research employed a development studies model consisting of two main stages: the preliminary stage and formative evaluation. The formative evaluation stage comprised several steps, including self-evaluation, expert review, one-to-one, small group, and field testing. The research subjects involved 30 Phase D students. Data were collected through validation sheets, student readability questionnaires, and HOTS test results, which were analyzed using Anates Uraian 4.0.5 software. The results indicated that the ten HOTS items developed met both rational and empirical validity criteria, showed very high reliability (0.95), had varying levels of difficulty (two easy, six moderate, and two difficult items), and demonstrated good discriminating power. Therefore, the developed HOTS instrument on comparison content is considered feasible to be used as an evaluation tool to enhance students’ critical, analytical, and creative thinking skills.
