Abstract

As a country with a majority Muslim population, it is alleged that the level of understanding of the Indonesian Muslim community towards the verses of the Qur'an is low. The religiosity potential of people who have strong religious beliefs has not been utilized as a means of socializing the urgency of exclusive breastfeeding. One of the districts in Yogyakarta (Kulonprogo), has a high stunting rate in children, as a result of a lack of intake of breast milk in infants. This article aims to show the form of understanding of Yogyakarta Muslim mothers towards the verses of breastfeeding in the Qur'an and the factors of understanding these verses. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Participants in the study consisted of 90 people, namely breastfeeding mothers in the districts of Sleman, Bantul, Kulonprogo, Gunung Kidul), and the city of Yogyakarta. The case study approach used data analysis. The low understanding of mothers about the commands and benefits of breastfeeding in the Qur'an has been caused by the low role of religious scholars/resources in bringing up the topic of breastfeeding commands, breastfeeding is part of worship in the Qur'an. This research has provided a new perspective in breastfeeding research that has so far been seen from a health perspective. This research seeks to combine health and religious approaches in understanding the benefits of breastfeeding. This paper recommends that it is necessary to optimize the role of Islamic scholars in studying the command to breastfeed in the Qur'an.

With this learning method, it is hoped that teaching and learning activities can be carried out properly so that students can understand the material delivered by lecturers. This research uses a descriptive-qualitative type. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of AIK lecturers and students. The object of this research is in the form of learning methods in AIK education. The data collection process is done through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques begin with the processes of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the method used by lecturers so far is the lecture method, so that the learning process becomes passive because students are not given the opportunity to convey arguments according to what they understand. In addition to the impact of AIK learning methods, the qualifications of AIK lecturers who are not in accordance with the field of religious science, especially AIK, the lack of infrastructure in the form of the availability of religious and AIK references, and the unavailability of places of worship also have an impact on the non-achievement of the objectives of AIK education. The non-achievement of the objectives of AIK education can also be seen from student learning outcomes in the mid-term test. Out of twenty students who attended AIK lectures, only five scored up to standard.

Abstract

The existence of curriculum changes seeks to continue to advance education in Indonesia in terms of intellectual and character. But the fact that Indonesian education still prioritizes intellectual rather than character, this can be seen from the lack of application in character education itself. Therefore, this study aims to examine more deeply the integration of the independent curriculum currently applied in the world of education with the concept of the Qur'an in shaping human character. The method used in this research is a library research with data sources obtained through various references in the form of journals, books, proceedings, and relevant articles. The results of this study explain that the formation of human character in the world of education is limited to the curriculum system, but the curriculum used must also be in accordance with the concept of the Qur'an in shaping human character.
