Abstract

Pelaksanaan pengelolaan koperasi syariah agar bisa bersaing diera digital adalah dengan manajemen kelembagaan yang terbaru dan mengikuti perkembangan zaman, peningkatan kapasitas sumber daya insani bagi koperasi, penggunaan teknologi dan sistem informasi baik dalam manajemen koperasi maupun dalam menjalankan usahanya, pembinaan dan pendampingan serta kemitraan. Penelitian ini tujuan utamanya yakni untuk mengetahui tinjauan pelaksanaan koperasi syariah di Tulungagung pada era society 5.0 dengan kaidah ekonomi syariah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi lapangan dan wawancara mendalam. Adapun lokasi penelitian ini adalah koperasi syariah Kabupaten Tulungagung yakni pada BMT Pahlawan Tulungagung dan BMT Sahara Tulungagung. Hasil penelitian dilapangan menemukan bahwa penggunaan digital di kedua BMT sangat diperlukan untuk menunjang operasional lembaga keuangan agar semakin terpadu. Penggunaan digital akan menyerap informasi secara cepat bagi pelanggan sehingga akan mempermudah pelanggan dalam melakukan transaksi kegiatan keuangan dan mempermudah BMT dalam membuat laporan keuangan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan promosi berbasis digital juga diterapkan oleh kedua lembaga BMT dengan menggunakan media seperti Status WhatsApp, Facebook dan Instagram. Kegiatan opeasional tersebut ditunjang dengan prinsip-prinsip ekonomi syariah yang memperhatikan kaidah-kaidah syariah seperti menjunjung tinggi tauhid, akhlak yang baik, konsep kepemilikan yang utuh, keseimbangan dalam menjaga harta, kebebasan, keadilan tanggungjawab, jujur dan menghindari riba, maysir, gharar.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how Islamic banks in Indonesia implement digital transformation in mobile banking services while maintaining Shariah compliance, identify factors influencing the effectiveness of digital Shariah governance, and explore customers’ perceptions and experiences of these services. This research employs a qualitative method using a case study and Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, non-participatory observations, and document analysis, and were analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña framework. The findings reveal that Islamic banks have adopted technologies such as AI, blockchain, smart contracts, and automated Shariah notification features. However, digitalization still faces challenges, including limited technological competence among Sharia Supervisory Board members, insufficient development of digital Shariah governance frameworks, and the lack of maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah integration into digital product design. Customer perceptions indicate generally positive experiences regarding convenience and security, although understanding of Shariah principles within mobile applications remains limited. This study highlights the importance of value-based digital transformation that prioritizes not only technological efficiency but also strengthens Shariah compliance and customer trust.
