Abstract

Critical thinking skills are essential competencies of the 21st century that need to be developed from the elementary school level. This study aims to: (1) Describe the use of concrete media of Fractional Tangram in improving students' critical thinking skills; (2) Analyze the improvement of students' critical thinking skills after the use of concrete media of Fractional Tangram. This research uses the design of Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles. The research subjects consisted of 28 grade IV students of SD Negeri Tambak Wedi 508 Surabaya. Data was collected through observation of the learning process using observation sheets and indicator-based critical thinking skills tests that included interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference, explanation, and self-regulation. The data was analyzed quantitatively descriptively by calculating the average score and percentage of improvement, as well as qualitatively to describe the learning process. The results showed a significant improvement in both aspects studied. The observation score of the learning process increased from 1.9 (Less category) in Cycle I to 3.4 (Good category) in Cycle II. The critical thinking skills score increased from an average of 23.2 (Good category) to 31.0 (Very Good category) with an increase of 33.6%. All critical thinking indicators have increased, with the highest achievements in the aspects of self-regulation (1.4 points), analysis (1.4 points), and evaluation (1.4 points). Thus, it can be concluded that the concrete media of Fractional Tangram is effective in improving the critical thinking skills of grade IV elementary school students, both in terms of the learning process and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media in the form of pop-up books that focus on alphabet material and PJBL-based learning methods to improve students’ creative thinking skills in Indonesian Language subjects Chapter I: Let’s Play! in grade III of elementary school. This study used the Four D (4D) development model which includes four stages: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The results of the study indicated that this pop-up book learning media can be categorized as feasible. The results were obtained through the validation process by the validator using a validation sheet and a feasibility test by the research subject using a questionnaire response sheet. The percentage of values given by material experts is 96% with the criteria “Very Valid”, the results of the assessment by media experts are 95% with the criteria “Very Valid.” While the results of the student response questionnaire assessment are 88% with the category “Very Practical,” and the results of the teacher’s warm response data processing are 97% with the category “Very Practical.” Learning media is also effective to use with a classical completeness percentage obtained of 85% with the category “Very Effective.” Therefore, it is obtained that the pop-up book alphabet learning media (Chapter 1: Let’s Play) Based on PJBL class III MI Yatabu has been categorized as feasible and can be used to improve creative thinking skills, especially for Indonesian language subject, alphabet material, chapter 1: Let’s Play!.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the application of the Problem Solving method assisted by video media, and (2) improve the of critical thinking skills of grade V elementary school students through the Problem Solving method assisted by video media. The method uses Classroom Action Research (PTK) for two cycles. The subjects of the study were 29 students in grade V of SD Negeri Tambak Wedi 508 Surabaya. Data was collected through observation and test techniques. Quantitative data from observations and tests were analyzed descriptively by calculating the average score and percentage improvement. The results of the study showed an improvement in the quality of method application, especially in the problem formulation and hypothesis submission phases, after scaffolding in the form of structured worksheets and guiding questions. Significant improvements also occurred in students' critical thinking skills. In Cycle I, the majority of students (59%) were in the Sufficient category and 34% in the Need for Guidance category. After the improvement in Cycle II, there was a drastic change, where 59% of students moved up to the Good category and there were no more students in the Need for Guidance category. Observations show. Thus, the Problem Solving method assisted by video media can improve the critical thinking skills of grade V elementary school students. The success of its implementation depends on the proper scaffolding planning and the creation of a supportive learning climate. This study recommends using a similar approach to develop higher-level thinking skills in elementary school students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran Mathmic (Mathematic Comic) berbasis Project Based Learning (PjBL) yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk pembelajaran matematika kelas II sekolah dasar. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Subjek penelitian adalah 27 peserta didik kelas II-C SD Negeri Bubutan 4 Surabaya. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui lembar validasi ahli materi dan media, angket respon guru dan peserta didik, serta tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media Mathmic memperoleh tingkat kevalidan sebesar 83,5% dengan kategori sangat valid. Tingkat kepraktisan media mencapai 81%, yang menunjukkan bahwa media mudah digunakan dan menarik bagi guru maupun peserta didik. Sementara itu, hasil analisis keefektivitas menunjukkan ketuntasan belajar klasikal sebesar 85,18%, sehingga media dinyatakan keefektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa. Dengan demikian, media Mathmic berbasis Project Based Learning valid digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran inovatif yang mendukung pembelajaran matematika yang kontekstual, aktif, dan menyenangkan di sekolah dasar serta sejalan dengan implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui validitas Software Computer Based Test, efektifitas Software Computer Based Test dan kepraktisan Software Computer Based Test yang dikembangkan. Metode yang digunakan adalah RnD (Research and Development). Penelitian dalam pengembangan ini mengacu pada model Borg & Gall yang telah disederhanakan menurut Gall dkk, dimana prosesnya menjadi enam langkah yakni: 1) mengkaji pustaka yang relevan tentang produk yang akan dibuat, 2) merencanakan tujuan masingmasing bab atau bagian, 3) mengembangkan draf awal, 4) melakukan uji coba terhadap draf awal pada subjek dengan jumlah terbatas, 5) melakukan revisi terhadap draf awal berdasarkan hasil uji coba, dan 6) menguji kembali draf yang telah direvisi berdasarkan hasil uji coba pertama pada subjek dengan jumlah yang lebih besar. Hasil dalam penelitian ini yaitu 1) validitas produk mencapai 87,75% dari ahli materi dan 85,5% dari ahli desain, 2) efektifitas produk diperoleh dari jumlah mahasiswa yang tuntas sebanyak 22 orang dan secara klasikal 84,6%, dan 3) kepraktisan produk diperoleh dari keterlaksanaan pembelajaran menggunakan CBT yang mencapai 4,1 dan hal tersebut tersebut masuk dalam kategori tinggi. Saran dari penelitian ini yaitu agar produk dapat dikembangkan pada mata kuliah yang lainnya. Kata Kunci: Software Computer Based Test, Penelitian dan Pengembangan

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of poster media with the Canva platform in bullying prevention education for elementary school students in the subject of Civics with the PJBL approach. Through this analysis, it is hoped that more innovative and interesting ways can be found to increase students' awareness of the importance of bullying prevention, as well as make a positive contribution to character formation and a safe and inclusive learning environment. This research is a qualitative study. The qualitative approach aims to gain an in-depth understanding of reality or phenomena through an inductive thinking process. data was collected through several techniques, namely observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis in this study used descriptive research analysis according to Miles & Huberman, the analysis consists of three streams of activities that occur simultaneously, namely: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions/verification. The results of the study showed that the use of poster media using the Canva platform in bullying prevention education carried out at SDN Wonokusumo 1 Surabaya ran smoothly and pleasantly, this shows that Canva facilitates the creation of attractive and informative posters. The conclusion of the analysis of the use of poster media for bullying prevention education for elementary school students in PKN subjects with the Project-Based Learning (PJBL) model shows that poster media is the right tool in increasing student awareness of bullying issues. Well-designed posters can convey clear and attractive messages, making it easier for students to understand various forms of bullying and how to prevent them
