Abstract

Abstract Cases of violence against children are prevalent recently. The actors of physical or verbal violence against children is not only adults, but also conducted by peers who are still in early age. Children certainly do not do it because they want to, they tend to do so because they imitate what they has seen and heard from their social environment. This kind of violence sparked fears for early childhood teachers in District Pringapus, Semarang regency. This concern relates to the way teachers respond impolite language or verbal abuse committed and experienced by children as it relates to the character education of children. This training is intended to equip teachers to establish verbal communicators who are humane and away from violence in communicating with children. The material presented includes child psychology, politeness and non-violence in the realm of education, interaction in teaching and learning, and character education. The material is presented with lecture, discussion, and assignment. Community service activities in form of training gain a positive response from the participants. Abstract

Kemampuan public speaking sangat dibutuhkan oleh seseorang yang memiliki kepentingan berbicara di hadapan banyak orang, misalnya anggota organisasi tertentu. Kemampuan berbicara di hadapan umum dalam situasi formal tidak serta merta dimiliki oleh seseorang. Untuk dapat berbicara dengan lancar dan informasi yang disampaikan dapat diterima dengan baik, diperlukan adanya pembinaan dalam bentuk latihan dan arahan yang tepat. Hal inilah yang menjadi kebutuhan Ibu-Ibu Tim Penggerak PKK sekecamatan Ngaliyan Kota Semarang. Sebagai bentuk jawaban dari kebutuhan yang dirasakan Ibu-ibu Tim Penggerak PKK sekecamatan Ngaliyan, Tim pengabdi mengadakan pelatihan public speaking. Pelatihan ini dimaksudkan membekali ibu-ibu pengetahuan tentang public speaking, khusunya tentang pidato dan kepewaraan. Materi yang disajikan meliputi keterampilan berbicara, pidato, kepewaraan, dan komunikasi organisasi. Materi disajikan dengan metode tanya jawab, demonstrasi dan penugasan berupa praktik langsung. Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat dalam bentuk pelatihan ‘public speaking’ dilaksanakan dengan lancar dan mendapatkan respon yang sangat baik. Kata kunci: Public speaking, PKK

Abstract

AbstrakDari hasil pengamatan secara umum, guru masih kurang memahami konsep dasar kurikulum 2013. Hal itu disebabkan guru masih mengacu pada konsep pembelajaran lama yaitu menyampaikan materi secara instan tanpa melibatkan kreativitas siswa. Padahal konsep dasar kurikulum 2013 adalah pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada hasil atau produk yang dihasilkan secara mandiri oleh siswa. Selain itu, kurikulum 2013 mengunakan pendekatan ilmiah, namun sebagian besar guru masih belum menguasai penggunaan tekonologi, seperti pemakaian komputer dan LCD yang secara umum digunakan dalam kurikulum 2013 ini. Kemudian, masih terbatasnya diklat, pelatihan, dan sosialisasi yang memadai dan berkompeten, serta kurangnya pendampingan oleh ahli mengenai pelaksanaan kurikulum ini, menjadikan kondisi tersebut semakin membutuhkan perhatian lebih. Belum lagi jika sejumlah pelatihan yang memang telah diikuti tidak memberikan pencerahan, tetapi justru membuat pada guru tersebut semakin bingung mengenai konsep dasar kurikulum 2013 yang seharusnya sudah mulai dijalankannya dengan baik. Kenyataan menunjukan bahwa pemahaman dan penguasaan guru terhadap kurikulum 2013 masih kurang, khususnya guru bahasa Indonesia di sekolah-sekolah yang ada di kecamatan Sayung kabupaten Demak. Perlu adanya pelatihan untuk memahamkan penerapan kurikulum 2013. Dengan demikian, diharapkan guru tersebut dapat diaplikasikan dalam sistem pembelajaran di sekolah yang bersangkutan. Dalam pelaksanaannya, program ini memperoleh perhatian yang baik, di antaranya yang tampak pada keseriusan dalam mengikuti kegiatan dari awal sampai akhir. Selain itu, guru pun tampak berpartisipasi aktif dalam sesi tanya jawab sebagai tanggapan positif dari materi yang telah disampaikan. Setelah proses pendampingan, guru memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih baik sehingga diharapkan guru dapat mengaplikasikan konsep kurikulum 2013 dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas.Kata kunci: kurikulum 2013, pelatihan

Abstract

This research entitled ?óÔé¼?ôThe Shifting of Nationalism Value in Novel Nagabonar Jadi 2 by Akmal Nasery Basral?óÔé¼?Ø. The problem of this research is How does the shifting of nationalism in Novel Nagabonar Jadi 2 bu Akmal Nasery Basral? The aim of this research is to describe the shifting of nationalism in Novel Nagabonar Jadi 2 bu Akmal Nasery Basral. The methods ?é?áused?é?á to analyze the problem is qualitative descriptive analysis. The source of the research data comes from Novel Nagabonar Jadi 2 by Akmal Nasery Basral and some books which relevan with the research object. The shifting of nasionalism value that analyzed divided into two explanations, they are nationalism on the narrow meaning and nationalism on the broad meaning. Nationalism on the narrow meaning in the novel can be seen from the way Nagabonar, as the main character, looking the relation between Indonesia and another nation in the world, especially Japan and Ducth. Nagabonar ?é?áalso has a skeptical attitude toward Indonesian people that reputed as the figure regardless ?é?ápatriot?é?á defending nation. Based on the first analysis, Nagabonar argued Indonesia is not supposed to cooperate with the ex-colonizer that has made them suffered. That Nagabonar act showed the sceptical of nationalism in his soul. After experiencing some incidents, Nagabonar has changed his mind. He starts to open his mind?é?á and?é?á relized that Indonesia has been independent and is developing which need help from other contries to realize. Abstract

Contiguity between Javanese, Sundanese, Indonesian and foreign language substitutions involving indigenous communities and settlers in Bumiayu displays code switching and code mixing symptoms. This study aims at describing a form of both codes and to identify the reasons that cause it. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach. The data of this study is a fragment of a number of conversation events and interviews. The data were processed and analyzed by a contextual approach. Code switching that is found are two, namely external and internal code switching. Based on the language used, there are some variations in the code mixing in Bumiayu speech community, those are mixed with the basic Javanese code, interfered with the basic Sundanese code, and interfered with the basic Indonesian code due to several reasons, namely 1) adjustment of the language, 2) transition topics, 3) learning the language, 4) respect, 5) the presence of a third person, and 6) familiarity. Code mixing in Bumiayu occurs for several reasons, namely, 1) the limited use of the code, 2) the use of more popular terms, 3) evokes sense of humour, and 4) suppression purposes.  Key words : code, code switching, code mixing

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe and find out the moral values ​​contained in the collection of short stories by Ustad Salim Menangis by Budi Maryono. This study uses a qualitative method. The approach used in this study is a qualitative descriptive approach and sociology of literature. The data collection technique used in this study was listening, reading, and taking notes. The technique of presenting research data uses informal techniques. The data analysis technique used in this research is content analysis. The results of the study show that there is a moral value contained in the collection of short stories by Ustad Salim Crying by Budi Maryono. There are three types of moral values, namely the human relationship with oneself, the human relationship with God, and the human relationship with the social sphere and the natural environment. The moral values ​​of human relations with oneself include working hard, promising, having principles, responsibility, managing time, never giving up, awareness, regret, and self-improvement. The moral values ​​of human relations with God include praying, trusting God, worshiping God, second chances from God, sacrifice, and surrender. The moral values ​​of human relations with the social sphere and the natural environment include caring, helping, loving, respecting, family responsibilities, advice, helping each other, establishing hospitality, and mother's love.

Abstract

In the latest curriculum, Indonesian language learning is oriented towards text-based learning. Therefore, students are invited to be able to produce various types of texts according to the material taught. The purpose of this study is to describe the application of the case-based learning model in the case-based learning (CBL) learning model in the Indonesian language subject of writing negotiation texts for class X students at SMK Mataram Semarang in the 2023/2024 academic year, the method used is descriptive qualitative method. This research focuses on the differences after the application of the case-based learning (CBL) model by using observation data, interviews with educators and students and documentation. As for data analysis techniques using descriptive by displaying the results of observations, the results of interviews with educators and students, student learning outcomes in the form of writing results and documentation such as learning documentation based on the steps in the application of the case-based learning (CBL) model and several other supporters. The results obtained after the application of this learning model are that students can have scores above the KKM and can also write independently the negotiation text that has been made in accordance with the linguistic rules.The conclusion based on the results of this study is that the application of the case base learning (CBL) model in class X Boga 1 SMK Mataram Semarang in the 2023/2024 academic year can be applied as an effective learning model to make students in writing negotiation text. In addition, this application can also add alternative learning for educators.

Abstract

The traditional Seblang dance ritual is a traditional ceremony held in the form of dance accompanied by gamelan and a choir. Seblang stands for before ilang or “loss of consciousness”. The Seblang ritual is performed to clean the village and repel reinforcements, so that the village remains safe and peaceful with a dancer from among a girl who is 10 years old or has not menstruated and is in a condition where a dancer is possessed by an ancestral spirit. The Seblang dance tradition is held during the Shawwal month or to be precise on the third or fourth day after the Eid al-Fitr holiday for one week. The dancers in the Seblang dance ritual are not random people, dancers must come from their ancestral lineage. The value of counseling is a belief that can provide positive value from a person’s point of view in which it can provide a change in accordance with what they see around them. The discussion referred to in this study is to determine the values of counseling in the Seblang dance tradition of the Osing Banyuwangi tribe. This study aims to describe what processions are carried out when carrying out the Seblang dance ritual and explore counseling values in the Seblang dance tradition in the village of Bysari, the Osing tribe of Banyuwangi. The research method used in this research is ethnographic qualitative. The results of the study can be concluded that counseling values in the Seblang dance tradition of the Osing Banyuwangi tribe provide positive values and provide lessons in dealing with social life, namely having spiritual values, values for oneself, and muamalah (social) values.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kepedulian terhadap pentingnya pembelajaran yang relevan dengan budaya lokal. Bagi siswa, budaya Semarang yang kaya dan beragam dapat menjadi sumber inspirasi untuk belajar menulis puisi. Pembelajaran Responsif Budaya (CRT) adalah pendekatan pembelajaran yang bagus karena melibatkan pengalaman dan budaya siswa.Studi ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana metode CRT digunakan untuk mengajarkan siswa kelas X-10 di SMAN 8 Semarang menulis puisi yang didasarkan pada budaya Semarang. Metode deskriptif kualitatif digunakan untuk mempelajari fenomena secara langsung di lapangan sehingga peneliti dapat memahami situasi dan kondisi secara nyata. Observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi adalah sumber data penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode CRT dalam pengajaran menulis puisi memiliki efek positif. Peserta didik dapat berpartisipasi secara aktif dalam pencarian dan analisis pengaruh budaya dalam proses menulis puisi. Metode CRT meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik tentang prinsip budaya lokal dan membantu mereka mengekspresikan pengalaman budaya mereka melalui penulisan puisi.
