Abstract

Background Learning mathematics which requires very active interaction between teachers and students through face-to-face communication must suddenly change. Students and teachers communicate through online meetings and virtual communication. This raises the potential for anxiety that arises in students. The purpose of this research is to explore the extent to which students' anxiety occurs in learning mathematics in the SPLDV material. The selection of research subjects was carried out by selecting subjects who used virtual mathematics learning for a long time. The research method uses quantitative research using surveys to reveal how anxiety occurs in students. Data Analysis of Research Results was carried out by describing the results of the survey that had been given by students. These results are collaborated with previous research so that they can contribute to the anxiety that occurs. The results of this study indicate that students' mathematical anxiety is much influenced by environmental factors, namely students' lack of confidence in their abilities and feeling that other people have more logical mathematical abilities.   Latar Belakang Pembelajaran matematika yang membutuhkan interaksi yang sangat aktif antara guru dan siswa melalui komunikasi tatap muka secara tiba-tiba harus berubah. Siswa dan guru berkomunikasi melalui meeting online dan komunikasi secara virtual. Hal ini menimbulkan potensi kecemasan yang muncul pada diri siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian mengeksplorasi sejauh mana kecemasan siswa terjadi pada pembelajaran matematika materi SPLDV. Pemilihan Subjek Penelitian  dilakukan dengan memilih subjek yang menggunakan pembelajaran matematika dengan virtual dalam jangka waktu yang lama. Metode Penelitian menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan survey untuk mengungkapkan bagaimana kecemasan yang terjadi pada siswa. Analisis Data Hasil Penelitian dilakukan dengan mendeskripsikan hasil dari survey yang sudah diberikan oleh siswa. Hasil tersebut dikolaborasikan dengan penelitian terdahulu sehingga dapat memberikan kontribusi atas kecemasan yang terjadi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kecemasan matematis siswa banyak dipengaruhi oleh faktor lingkungan yakni rasa tidak percaya diri siswa pada kemampuannya dan merasa bahwa orang lain memiliki kemampuan matematis yang lebih logis.

Abstract

In the world of education, a study has quite a large influence on education practitioners. This study aims to analyze the relationship between research and learning practices for prospective mathematics teachers. In this context, researchers will explore the understanding of prospective mathematics teachers on existing research related to the practice of teaching mathematics prospective teachers. The research method used in this study is a quantitative research method with the type of research used in this research is correlational. The results of this study are in line with the research objectives, namely wanting to see whether there is an influence on research with learning practices for prospective mathematics teachers. The data shows that there is an influence between research on learning practices for prospective mathematics teachers.

Abstract

Exploration of the difficulties faced by students in facing AKM exams is a challenge for teachers and practitioners of mathematics education. The main objective of this study is to map information about the difficulties students experience in carrying out AKM exams so that they can be used as evaluation material to prepare for better mathematics learning in the future. The selection of subjects was carried out randomly by considering good communication so that the data obtained could represent the population. Semi-structured interviews are used in collecting research data in order to create a more humane and conducive atmosphere. Data analysis used codes that had been reduced from the interview transcripts. The results of the research show that there are various challenges that need to get the attention of both teachers, students and parents of students. The loss of students' motivation in learning mathematics needs to get very serious attention for teachers and parents.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to measure the level of students' self-efficacy by developing a mathematical self-efficacy instrument and to determine the quality of the developed instrument. This research is categorized as Research and Development (RD). The resulting product of the research is a questionnaire consisting of 28 statements. The development of the mathematical self-efficacy instrument was carried out using a formative research development model. The study was conducted in 11th-grade classes at SMA 90 in South Jakarta. The findings of this research indicate that the developed instrument is valid, reliable, and of reasonably good quality, as it passed the instrument testing stages. Additionally, this research also demonstrates the criteria for students' self-efficacy level using the developed instrument.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the landscape of education around the world, including learning mathematics at the high school level. In response to the pandemic, many schools have adopted distance learning and integrated technology into the learning process. This study aims to analyze the perspectives of high school students in learning mathematics that is integrated with technology after the COVID-19 pandemic. In this context, we will explore students' understanding of the use of technology in learning mathematics, their attitudes towards the use of technology, and their views on the effectiveness of learning mathematics integrated with technology. The research method used in this study is a quantitative research method with the type of research used in this study is correlational. The results of this study are in line with the research objectives, namely to see whether there is an influence of students' perspectives on mathematics learning integrated with technology. The data shows that there is an influence between students' perspectives on learning mathematics that is integrated with technology.

Abstract

The role of the teacher is not only teaching but also training other academic skills such as solving OSN questions. It would be a shame if the teacher could not guide students in solving OSN questions. According to DKI Jakarta Elementary and Elementary Education data, there has not yet been a Muhammadiyah school that has won OSN, both at the Kotip level, let alone at the provincial and national levels. This Community Service activity aims to increase the competence of Muhammadiyah Middle School Mathematics Teachers under the auspices of the Jakarta PWM Elementary Education Council to guide students in solving OSN questions. The training activities include: (1) the prites stage; (2) the difficulty analysis stage; (3) the stage of giving tricks; and (4) the percentage stage. This activity has been carried out and received good enthusiasm from partners. Partners in this case are Mathematics teachers at Muhammadiyah Middle Schools throughout DKI. It is proven that there was an increase in the teacher's ability to work on OSN questions that occurred in this training. This can be seen from the more participants who were able to do the Posttest questions correctly after being given training by UHAMKA Mathematics Education lecturers. The seriousness of the participants in this training was evident from the collection of video presentations that were sent by the participants as many as 5 videos a day.

Abstract

Rendahnya kemampuan visualisasi siswa dalam materi geometri berkontribusi terhadap rendahnya pemahaman konsep matematis siswa perlu mendapatkan perhatian dari berbagai pihak. Berbagai alternatif teknologi yang saat ini seperti augmented reality dapat menjadi salah satu pilihan yang tepat untuk membantu visualisasi geometri. Riset ini akan memfokuskan pada peningkatan kemampuan visualisasi dan pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi geometri melalui penggunaan augmented reality. Desain pengembangan augmented reality menggunakan ADDIE. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VIII yang sedang mempelajari materi kubus dan balok sebanyak 40 siswa. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan 5 masalah yang dapat mengukur pemahaman dan visualisasi geometri siswa. Analisis data ini akan memberikan deskripsi lengkap bagaimana tahapan pelaksanaan pengembangan dengan ADDIE melalui tahapan analisis, desian, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ketertarikan siswa pada augmented reality telah mendorong mereka untuk belajar lebih lama karena visualisasi yang menarik sehingga siswa selalu berkeinginan untuk belajar. Intensitas pembelajaran yang tinggi dari siswa telah membantu meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep geometri pada waktu yang sama. Keinginan siswa untuk belajar lebih lama, dan mengeksplorasi materi sangat berkontribusi terhadap degradasi paradigma negatif matematika yang selama ini ada.  The low visualization ability of students in geometry material contributes to the low understanding of mathematical concepts. Students need attention from various parties. Various current alternative technologies such as augmented reality can be the right choice to help visualize geometry. This research will focus on improving students' visualization abilities and understanding of concepts in geometry material through the use of augmented reality. Augmented reality development design using ADDIE. The subjects of this research were 40 students in class VIII who were studying cubes and blocks. This research instrument uses 5 problems that can measure students' understanding and visualization of geometry. This data analysis will provide a complete description of the stages of implementing development with ADDIE through the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The results of the research can be concluded that students' interest in augmented reality has encouraged them to study longer because of the attractive visualization so that students always want to learn. The high learning intensity of students has helped improve the ability to understand geometric concepts at the same time. Students' desire to study longer and explore the material greatly contributes to the degradation of the negative paradigm of mathematics that currently exists.
