Abstract

Abstract: Families of patients in the ICU often experience psychological stress, so their satisfaction becomes a key indicator of service quality. This study aims to analyze the relationship between communication and nurse quality with the satisfaction of ICU patients' families at X Hospital in Pekanbaru. Using a cross-sectional quantitative design, the sample involved 30 respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The univariate results showed that the majority of respondents rated communication as good (76.67%) and nurse quality as positive (83.33%). Bivariate tests showed a significant relationship between communication (p=0.000), quality (p=0.000), and family satisfaction. Overall satisfaction reached 90%. There is a link between nurses' interpersonal aspects and family satisfaction; the better the communication and nurse quality, the higher the satisfaction felt. Hospital management is advised to maintain these service standards and provide regular training on therapeutic communication, empathy management, and nurse quality to support the psychological stability of patients' families in critical care units.Keywords: Communication, Quality, Nurses, Satisfaction, Family. Abstract

Background: Hypertension is an abnormal increase in blood pressure in the arteries continuously for more than one period. One non-pharmacological treatment used to reduce high blood pressure is celery. Celery (Apium Graviolens L) is one type of herbal therapy for treating hypertension. Objective: From several literature reviews, this is to determine the effect of celery leaves in curing hypertension. Method: This research design uses a literature review. National journal searches using the Google Scholar data base used for the last 10 years. The search was carried out from 27 September to 26 December 2023. Results: From the analysis of 15 journals, it shows that there is an effect of celery leaves on the incidence of hypertension, men and women can suffer from a history of hypertension, but can reduce these symptoms by finding out what sources of information The effect of celery leaves to cure hypertension. Conclusion: There is an effect of giving boiled celery water on reducing blood pressure, both systole and diastole, in hypertensive sufferers.Keywords: Celery; Hypertension; Healing; Decoction; Herbal

Abstract

The anxiety of the patient's family can be reduced by providing good information through therapeutic communication. Skilled therapeutic communication by nurses will make it easier to create a relationship of trust between the patient and family. The purpose of this research was determine the effect of nurses' therapeutic communication on the anxiety level of families of patients treated in the intensive care unit. The sampling technique used a total sampling technique, with a total of 15 respondents. The research design used was Pre-Experiment with a one group pre-test post test design. The data collection tools were a therapeutic communication questionnaire and an anxiety level questionnaire which were analyzed univariately and bivariately using a paired T-test. The results of this research showed that there was an influence of therapeutic communication on the anxiety level of the families of patients treated in the intensive care unit.Keywords: Anxiety; Family;  ICU; Therapeutic Communication
