Abstract

This study aims to identify the influence of individual factors and organizational factors to political behavior and the work outcomes of employees in the banking sector in five major cities in Java (Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Yogyakarta and Surabaya). The study also identifies the influence of political behavior directly to the work outcomes. This study adopts the theory of Stephen P. Robbins that summarizes the 6 indicators of individual factors, 9 indicators of organization factors, 9 indicators of political behavior, and 12 indicators of the work outcomes. Data collection was conducted by distributing questionnaires via e-mail. Respondents who had captured a number of 180, spread across five cities which are Jakarta (100 respondents), Bandung (20 respondents), Semarang (20 respondents), Yogyakarta (20 respondents), and Surabaya (20 respondents). The relationship between variables in this study were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). This study showed regression weight of individual factors to political behavior with regression coefficient of 0,230; organizational factors to political behavior with regression coefficient of 0,251; individual factors to the work outcomes with regression coefficient of 0,204; organizational factors to the work outcomes with regression coefficient of 0,173; political behavior to the work outcomes with regression coefficient of 0,295. From these results known to have significant positive influence variables of individual and organization factors to political behavior and work outcomes. Politicalbehavior is also evident in a direct and significant positive effect to work outcomes.

Abstract

CV Optima is one of a wood-based furniture industry which products are variety of table and chair. Its market has reached inter-islands of Java as well as throughout Indonesia. The purpose of my research was to determine optimal combination to increase the revenue of CV Optima Semarang. My research used purposive sampling methodology for collecting the data, namely, all of the company products during one production period (June 2012). Furthermore, the data, which was the documentation of the production based on secondary data of the company, was used to complete my research. The analyzing technique that was used in my research was linear programming by using graphic methodology. The survey result showed that the company needed to produce 150 tables and 400 chairs during one month production. Asa result, the company would be able to generate revenue of Rp. 11.720.000,- in one production period.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify and analyze the influence of personal factor, work characteristics, structural characteristics and work experience on Organizational Commitment of UPTD employees on Regional Market Jatingaleh Semarang. The population in this study was all employees ofUPTD Market Jatingaleh Semarang totaling 48 employees. The entire population was sampled so that the number of samples used by 48 employees. The analytical tool used in this study was multiple linear regression, with the first data was examined by validity and reliability testing. The results showed that there was positive influence of factor of personal, work characteristics, structural characteristics and work experience on organizational commitment either partially or simultaneously. It means if factor of personal, work characteristics, structural characteristics and work experience increase, the organizational commitment will increase.

Abstract

Queuing is an important part of operational management. It can be found either in manufacture sector or service sector. Queuing is persons or goods which are in the line waiting for the services and they will leave the line after being serviced. The purpose of this research was to analyze the queuing system applied in giving better services for the customers. It was done by calculating the total number of customers and the total average of serviced customers in a period of time, and optimizing the number of tellers that were working. Based on the research result it showed that the queuing model applied by BRI Bank in STIKES Karya Husada Semarang was Multi Channel- Single Phase Model. This model was applied through queuing discipline principle which was First Come – First Serve ( FCFS). The average time of a customer in queuing was 0.07 hour/person, and the average time spent by the customer was 0.15 hour/person. The average number of customers was two persons and the expected average number of customers was three persons. There was an addition of teller from one to two. They were working optimally. From the calculation result, it showed that by having two tellers, BRI Bank could give the better service in which the average time of the customer in queuing was 0.0002 hour /person. And the average time spent by the customer was 0.080 hour/person. The number of customer was one person, and the expected number of customer was two persons.

Abstract

PER (price earnings ratio) is a very important factor and should be considered by investors before making an investment decision. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Earning Per Share, Return on Assets, Return on Equity, Debt To Equity Ratio, and Price Book Value for the price earning ratio (PER) of Automotive and Allied Products Companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2009-2011. The populations in this study were the Automotive and Allied Products companieslisted in Indonesia Stock Exchange amounted to 17 (seventeen) companies. The sampling technique was conducted with purposive sampling method and acquired 16 companies as the study sample. The data analysis technique used was linear regression. Based on the results of the regression analysis showed that Earning Per Share, Return on Assets, and Debt To Equity Ratio had no significant effect on the price earning ratio (PER). While Return On Equity had positive effect on the price earning ratio (PER) and Price Book Value negatively affected the price earning ratio (PER) in Automotive and Allied Products Companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period 2009-2011.

Abstract

Pelatihan interaktif untuk peningkatan kemampuan numerasi di SD Al-Hikmah Semarang menunjukkan hasil positif pada pemahaman konsep dan keterampilan matematika siswa. Metode ini mendorong partisipasi aktif dan membantu siswa lebih percaya diri dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal numerasi, terutama melalui kegiatan yang menyenangkan dan mendukung. Siswa tidak hanya belajar menghitung, tetapi juga memahami penerapan konsep numerasi, seperti pengukuran dan perbandingan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, sehingga keterampilan mereka lebih aplikatif dan relevan. Selain itu, pendekatan interaktif juga meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam pemecahan masalah dengan berpikir kritis, menganalisis soal secara bertahap, dan menemukan solusi secara mandiri. Peningkatan ini memperlihatkan bahwa metode interaktif bukan hanya efektif secara akademik tetapi juga mengembangkan aspek afektif, seperti rasa percaya diri dan motivasi siswa. Untuk hasil jangka panjang, disarankan agar pelatihan ini terus dilanjutkan dan divariasikan guna mempertahankan minat belajar siswa serta mengoptimalkan hasil belajar numerasi.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of Capital Structure, Liquidity, Company Size and Profitability on Company Value. The population in this research is food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018-2022. The sampling method used in this research was a purposive sampling method and a sample of 10 companies was obtained. The data used in this research was obtained from the annual financial reports of food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for 2018-2022. The data analysis method in this research is Multiple Linear Regression analysis. The results of the research showed that simultaneously the variables Capital Structure, Liquidity, Company Size and Profitability had a significant effect on Company Value, partially Capital Structure and Company Size have a positive effect on Company Value while Liquidity and Profitability have a negative effect on Company Value.

Abstract

Purpose: This study examines factors affecting the performance of sales employees at PT NIS in Semarang. Methodology: The research involved 50 employees, using secondary data from questionnaires distributed via Google Forms. Multiple linear regression analysis was used for data analysis. Results: Communication (X1), Competence (X2), and System/Procedure (X5) positively and significantly affect employee performance (Y). Motivation (X3), Compensation (X4), Leadership (X6), and Corporate Culture and Environment (X7) do not have a significant impact. Findings: Communication, Competence, and System/Procedure are crucial for enhancing employee performance, explaining 80.4% of the performance variance. The remaining 19.6% is influenced by other factors not included in the study. Novelty: This study identifies key determinants of sales employee performance in the context of a specific company, providing insights for targeted improvements.Originality: The research offers a detailed analysis of various factors influencing employee performance using a comprehensive statistical approach. Conclusions: Effective communication, competence, and systematic procedures are essential for improving sales employee performance at PT NIS. Type of Paper: Research Paper

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work motivation and compensation on employee performance at Percetakan Sewelas Triwulan. The research employs a quantitative approach with an associative design, involving 32 employees selected through a saturation sampling method. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that work motivation has a significant positive effect on employee performance, with a regression coefficient of 0.65 (p < 0.05). Additionally, compensation has a significant influence on employee performance, with a regression coefficient of 0.58 (p < 0.05). Simultaneously, both motivation and compensation have a significant impact on employee performance, with an F-value of 8.45 (p < 0.05). The implications of this study underscore the importance of management enhancing work motivation through non-financial rewards and ensuring fairness in compensation, thereby creating a productive work environment that supports optimal employee performance.
