Abstract

Technological development at this time has been growing rapidly with the internet. Along with the development the more the usefulness of the Internet. Not only used for browsing, now the Internet is also used for communication. Such as email, chat, and etc. The increasing development of communication technology, then people start to think about the secure of the communication technology. As in a video chat, only the person entitled to know the information in the video chat. But the encryption process on existing processes such as blackbox said due to lack of transparency.Of these problems lead to the idea to make a video chat application that uses cryptographic security techniques. Data of video chat will be encrypted using RC4 method. Research shows when the data that has been encrypted can be displayed when password is correct. It shows when data that has been encrypted safer than the data that is not encrypted.

Abstract

Javanese letter are a representative and a proof of Indonesia’s rich and diverse. Nowadays the use of Javanese language in oral and written conversation Indonesia is getting rare. Our people prefer to learn our national language or international languages such as English and Chinese. Another work to conserve Javanese letter is make Javanese letter optical recognition. Therefore, in this thesis an application that could be used in the preprocessing phase of Javanese letter recognition was developed.Hough transform and projection profile are the methods that used in this application. Hough transform is a method that perform skew detection on the document. Projection profile is a method that process segmentation.In Chapter 5 light intensity, consistency range between rows, font size and type, the difference of font weight would affect the result. The result of projection profile method can segment 77% of document with consistent range between rows. The hough transform method can detect skew on the document up to 94%.

Abstract

Application of expert systems are now widely used by many people, as well as application development is quite fast and good. So easy to use and many of the benefits with this application. With this application, common people can learn the science of an expert to be applied into daily life.In this study expert system is applied to diagnose the disease as first aid before consulting a doctor. In making this application, programmers consult the experts (doctors) to create a knowledge-based.Based on the questionnaire results obtained that the expert system application program as a first aid for common ailments can run well and well-presented in user interface.

Abstract

In order to make a visual media that can make student to take interest in history, game based learning is one of the solutions. The game first must have all aspect of the history itself in order to fulfill the goal. In this research, game that can cover the politic aspect especially war is made. The game will cover the politic aspect of Majapahit Kingdom and entitled Majapahit’s Conquest.This game use Turn Based Tactical as the genre which player and computer side moves his troops turn by turn. 2 methods of AI will be used in this game, which are Minimax and Fuzzy State Machine. This game will be made with Unity Engine, and scripting language will be done with C# as the language and MonoDevelop as IDE.The experiment is conducted to check the game system that support the war strategy of the game such as attack command or move/run command. The result of the experiment declare that all configured variables in troops influence the sytem.

Abstract

One of interesting aspect in game is virtual enemy (AI) as enemy to the player. This aspect is important to give challenge to the player, especially for a single player game. One game that requires such AI is a turn-based strategy game. To be able to create an interesting and challenging AI for the player, it is require equally strong and dynamic AI.To create such AI, ID3 and Influence Map will be used as the base of the AI used in turn-based strategy game. Applications made include ID3 training software and Influence Map class inside the game that will be used. ID3 System is made to have the ability to process continuous data.The results showed that the ability to create a decision tree by ID3 is greatly influenced by the training data used. The results also showed that the propagation method used for the Influence Map system can be set to suit the requirements in the game.

It is effectiveness if to collect data on purchases and sales manually expected with this online portal website can help carry out the customer data as well as its transactions,Website created with the aim to understand the conditions on how make a better communication between the customer and the online shop "X" through a portal website that is able to accommodate the needs of the onlinestore "X" in promoting goods. This Website provide a place for non users onlinestores who want to sell at this website are intended to increase the variety of products and attract buyers for transaction on this website. This website is created using programming languages PHP and SQL. As well as the use of JavaScript to help, while using the MySQL database connection is thus easy to develop his future.To facilitate the user in search of goods, the application of data mining features with the a priori method in which these methods will analyze the habits of the transaction the buyer and the items alternately visited by users to find the relationship between different goods not only by one vendor that but it could be a few sellers. Transaction data and user traffic data is processed by a priori algorithm to generate frequent itemsets that ultimately results in the form apriori table association rules. The addition of the element of time from the time the transaction is expected to also help provide accurate results against the results of the data mining process.

Abstract

Development and competition in the University of Indonesia is extremely tight. Petra Christian University is also the Universitys long-standing and well known to many people in Indonesia. Prospective students would like to see more clearly the form and facilities owned by the University. The difficulties that exist in prospective students who reside outside the island, as it requires large transportation costs if you want to visit Petra Christian University. Based on thisproblem, so in this study will be the creation of applications. This application aims to facilitate students who saw virtually Petra Christian University. Results in this application, the position and shape of the object on the building resembles the original state that existed at Petra Christian University.Barriers time of making a major factor, so it cannot make the building more in detail. The whole room labs and classrooms on the 2nd floor of the building and lecturer room in the 3rd floor already done, there are only a few sections still proceed example at the laboratory assistant room, and a small part.Disadvantages of this application, requires a computer specification high enough to run the application. This is because the memory is generated in this application can be fairly large.

Abstract

Making this program aims to interest children in learning to read in a fun way, so that children in the age of the children can master the technique of reading. This is done because of demands for children aged under five are expected to master the technique of reading before they continue their education at the elementary level, but because reading is a basic foundation in communication.For application design researchers using interviews with informants, as well as the selection of the manufacturing features in interactive media.The results of this interactive medium is a game that has two menus is "Start and Quiz", while the material created in this game consists of the introduction of the alphabet as well as the introduction of one to three syllables. The test results of the game is, this game can support and assist in the learning process among teachers, parents and students to read. And these games has an interesting view and in accordance with what they have learned at school, so as to attract the students to use.

Abstract

Game is an entertainment media this is growing rapidly along with the development of technology. Adventure Game is a game that is more concerned with the storyline and moral message for the players. Physics is one of the lessons that discusses the natural phenomena that are not live or matter within the scope of space and time. Physics lessons started in junior high school education. In the eighth grade junior high school, there was a discussant physics lesson on Force, Acceleration, Work and Energy that are hard to explain without media.Therefore, in this thesis, author developed a game that can help students in grade 8 junior to study about Force, Acceleration, Work, and Energy with ease. This game is created using Unity. Unity is one of the media to create a game with 3D and 2D. The programming language used by Unity are C# and Javascript.Results obtained from surveys to students in grade 8 junior on this physics game can be summed adventure game Physics 85% interested, 70% in accordance with the lessons 8 junior class , 70% of the questions easy to understand, and 65% of the questions that are given can help the learning process of students in grade 8 junior well.

Abstract

The main study in this thesis is the design and the development of an expert system with forward chaining and backward chainingmethod. In this thesis, uses the children common disease due tothe body immune in young children is not as good and perfect as adult’s. This makes children to be infected easily.The method used in the development of this expert system isforward chaining and backward chaining, which is driven by the facts that exist. The facts obtained from the patients physical condition, or so-called symptoms. In making this expert system knowledge is required excavation by an expert engineer from the expert of the subject, in this case is a doctor. The process of extracting knowledge by means of interviews.Based on the analysis, this expert system has a percentage of program eligibility to be used by common people is at 85.4%. Moreover about the ease of usage this program also get a high percentage.
