Abstract

Considering the increased concerns related to the issues of moral and spiritual leadership, I conducted two studies to develop the construct and measure of prophetic leadership. In the first study, three Indonesian Moslem leaders were interviewed to describe their leadership behavior and characteristics from their own praxis. Prophetic leadership is the ability to influence others accomplishing shared objectives that is reinforced by soul enlightenment as the prophets have shown in their time. In the second study, 40 items were generated for measuring prophetic leadership were administrated to 151 employee of Islamic University of Indonesia. The dimensions that represent prophetic leadership consist of sidiq (conscience centred), amanah (trustworthy and highly committed), tabligh (communication skills), and fathonah (problem solver). The construct is translated into a measure called prophetic leadership scale. The results show an empirical support for its construct validity. A positive significant intercorrelations among four dimensions were found. Items were loaded into four different mentioned dimensions. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini ingin mengetahui hubungan pengaruh antara  pelatihan job crafting dan penurunan tingkat kebosanan kerja. Hipotesis yang diajukan adalah terdapat perbedaan tingkat kebosanan kerja kelompok eksperimen-kontrol. Rancangan penelitian  menggunakan desain kelompok kontrol prates-pascates.  Konsep kebosanan kerja diukur menggunakan alat tes Dutch Boredom Scale (DUBS) diadaptasi dari Reijseger, et al.  Pengukuran job crafting menggunakan Job Crafting Scale (JCS) diadaptasi dari Tims, et.al. Analisis data menggunakan Mann Whitney U.  Hasil analisis menyebutkan nilai Z= -2,067 dan p = 0,039 (p < 0,05). Hasil ini menunjukkan adanya perbedaan skor secara signifikan tingkat kebosanan kerja kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol, setelah diberi pelatihan. Artinya, pelatihan job crafting merupakan alternatif penting dalam mengatasi kebosanan kerja.

Abstract

Facing the “VUCA world” (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity), organizations need strategies to sustain and keep growing. The aim of this research is constructing authentic organization as alternative concept for organizations in coping with those rapid changes. However, the concept of authentic organization is not solid yet. This research explores and builds the concept of authentic organization. Using seven steps of meta-ethnography approach for 33 relevant articles, this study offers two main findings: The first is the definition of authentic organization and the second is Truthfulness, Resilience, Uncertainty friendly, and Eminence (“TRUE”) as the factors of authentic organization.

Abstract

Berbagai hasil kajian melaporkan bahwa komitmen organisasi dipengaruhi antara lain oleh kepuasan kerja, budaya organisasi, motivasi intrinsik, dan etika kerja Islami. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran etika kerja Islami terhadap komitmen anggota organisasi menggunakan reviu literatur. Komitmen organisasi merupakan keterlibatan anggota organisasi secara konsisten dengan segala upaya yang dilakukan untuk tetap bergabung dalam suatu organisasi. Etika kerja Islami merupakan seperangkat sistem nilai dan keyakinan anggota organisasi yang bersumber dari ajaran agama Islam yang mendasari sikap dan perilakunya dalam organisasi. Kajian ini menggunakan reviu literatur melalui pengumpulan sumber data berupa hasil-hasil penelitian tentang etika kerja Islami dan komitmen organisasi, pembacaan, pengelompokan, analisis, dan pembahasan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa etika kerja Islami berperan positif terhadap komitmen anggota organisasi.

Abstract

This research is aiming for influence of interpersonal communication training to improve the cohesiveness of the group of employees. Subjects in this study were 22 employees of Hotel X of Yogyakarta, which is divided into 11 experimental groups of employees and 11 employees of the control group. Data collection is use cohesiveness scale, interviews, and observations. The research design was pretest-posttest control group design. Analysis of the study is a quantitative and qualitative analysis. Quantitative analysis using U-Mann Whitney to determine the effect of interpersonal communication training to the employee group cohesiveness. Qualitative analysis is based on observations and interviews. The results showed that there were significant differences in group cohesiveness in employees between the experimental group and the control group with significant value of 0.002 (p <0.005). It is concluded that interpersonal communicationtraining can enhance group cohesiveness in employees Hotel X Yogyakarta.Keywords: Interpersonal Communication Training, Cohesiveness group, Employee

Abstract

Al-Qur'an therapy is a therapy using verses in the Al-Qur'an as a source of inspiration and media to help overcome spiritual, mental, physical and social problems. This includes reading, memorizing, understanding, living, and finding the relationship between the meaning of verses in the Koran and everyday problems and experiences. The discovery of meaning and wisdom allows students to feel emotional balance and improve their well-being, as well as being a medium for learning and understanding the traces of prophetic teachings in everyday life. An understanding of the traces of prophetic teachings was studied in the Prophetic Leadership Lecture at the Professional Psychology Study Program at the Masters Level at the Islamic University of Indonesia. One of the methods in this course is self-reflection on the four dimensions of prophetic leadership: Sidiq, Amanah, Tabligh, Fathanah. Based on self-reflection, several themes were found, namely finding new drugs, being grateful, feeling calm, and practicing knowledge. These findings enable students to become better individuals, to understand themselves and others, to function their minds and hearts through appreciating the values found in the Al-Qur'an.

Abstract

Research on employee well-being and work engagement in Indonesia is interesting. This study reports a literature review based on research on the relationship between these variables in cross-generational participants in Indonesia. The results show that employee well-being in Indonesia is reported in four constructs: employee well-being, well-being at work, subjective well-being, and psychological well-being. Work engagement in Indonesia is reported using two terms: work engagement and employee engagement. Many studies report that work engagement is a positive predictor of employee well-being, otherwise, several studies report the opposite, employee well-being becomes a positive predictor of work engagement. Several studies report the relationship between work engagement and employee well-being in participants across generations, from Z generation, millennials, and X, to the Boomer generation. Recommendations from this study include that future research can carry out model tests and mediator tests on variables that influence work engagement and employee welfare in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efikasi kinerja tim dengan me-lakukan implementasi analisis strength, opportunities, aspirations, dan result (SOAR) dalam bentuk workshop. Subjek dalam penelitian berjumlah delapan orang yang merupakan anggota tim panitia inti penerimaan mahasiswa baru di Sekolah Tinggi X. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eks-perimen dan survei menggunakan skala efikasi kinerja tim yang diadaptasi dari kuesioner kinerja tim Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) oleh Temkin-Greener et al. (2004). Data diana-lisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon dan gain score. Uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan Z sama dengan -2,033 dan p sama dengan 0,042 untuk efikasi prates ke pascates, dan Z sama dengan -2,524 dan p sama dengan 0,012 dari efikasi prates ke tindak lanjut. Uji gain score menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan dua poin hingga 38 poin pada saat pascates dan peningkatan tiga hingga 42 poin pada saat tindak lanjut. Dengan demikian, diketahui bahwa analisis SOAR mampu meningkatkan efikasi kinerja tim. Aspek efikasi kinerja tim yang mengalami peningkatan melalui intervensi workshop ini adalah komunikasi dan koordinasi. Subjek yang memahami fungsi analisis SOAR secara luas atau langsung mengimplemen-tasikan metode ini mengalami peningkatan efikasi kinerja tim paling tinggi.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of gratitude as a mediator in the relationship between prophetic leadership and employee well-being. The participants comprised 146 employees (118 males; 28 females) from a sharia financial institution in Yogyakarta. Measurement instruments included the prophetic leadership scale, the Islamic Gratitude Scale (IGS-10), and the Employee Well-Being Scale (EWBS). Mediation analyses were employed for data examination. Results indicated that gratitude fully mediates prophetic leadership and employee well-being (indirect estimate = 0.12; p<0.01). Employees who perceive their leaders as embodying prophetic qualities tend to experience higher levels of gratitude, enhancing their well-being within the organization. These findings have significant practical implications, suggesting that organizations can foster employee well-being by promoting gratitude and improving their leaders’ prophetic leadership capacities.
