Abstract

Renewable energy such as solar energy, waves and wind require batteries as a storage of electrical energy which still has constraints related to voltage, capacity, and energy efficiency. This experiment aims to determine the effect of electrode size on lead-acid dynamic and static battery capacity and energy efficiency. Dynamic and static single cell lead-acid batteries consist of three different electrode sizes, 13.5x7.5 cm2 (A1); 22.5x7.5 cm2 (A2) and 32.5x7.5 cm2 (A3) have been developed. Continuous and simultaneous charge-discharge test using turnigy accucell-6 50 w and chargemaster 2.02 software as graphic programming. Based on experiments, dynamic batteries perform better than static batteries with a difference in capacity of up to 48% and differences in energy efficiency up to 17%. The best performance is obtained on A3 dynamic batteries with an average capacity capacity of 10357 mAh and an average energy efficiency of 81%.

Abstract

The six cells of the dynamic lead acid battery (DLAB) series have been made to resemble the accumulator with sulfuric acid single electrolyte. The tank was filled with 1200 mL of 30% sulfuric acid and circulated through each unit cell by a minipump during charge-discharge process. Experiments were carried out by providing a charging current of 2A, while the discharge current was varied at 0.5 A, 0.6 A, 0.7 A, 0.8 A for 10 continuous cycle to obtain the battery with the best characteristics. The experimental results show that all batteries have a working voltage of 10.8-14.4 volt. The discharging current is inversely proportional to the discharging duration. The resulting capacity has an efficiency ranging from 80.1-81.1%. DLAB with 0.5 A discharging current shows the best performance based on the length of duration and the average capacity with value of 109.61 h and 6168 mAh while for the ideal performance stability is obtained by DLAB with 0.7 A discharging current. The electrochemical reaction produces angelsite and plattnerite phases on the positive electrode. Meanwhile, angelsite and lead phases are formed on the negative electrode.

Abstract

Trawas district is a major agriculture district producing fruits and vegetables. Based on the type of agriculture products, there are business actors engaged in processing agricultural products into sweet potato chips. However, there are many obstacles to produce sweet potato chips in Belik Village and Jaten Village at Trawas District. Because the processing of sweet potato snack chips is still done in a very simple way in the process of enumerating a monotonous form of products. The impact of quality and quantity of production is not good so it has not been able to compete with other cassava snack products. This low production efficiency due to limited production technology (cutter tool sweet potato) is still monoton resulting in less productivity, quantity and product quality.

Abstract

Broiler chicken is one of popular alternative source of protein for local people in Indonesia due to the low price and good quality meat. However, broiler breeders unable obtain enough income because face high operating costs due to the animal feed and high consumption of LPG gas in the Day Old Chick (DOC) brooder process. During 15 days brooder DOC process, at least 36 kg/day of LPG gas is consumed for 3000 chicks. Therefore, the purpose of this community service activity is to reduce brooder DOC operational costs for broilers through research, development and implement an alternative heaters using gasoline vapor vaporization. Community service activities are carried out with six stages of activity, namely 1. Real identification of the brooder process in the field 2. Factor analysis using a causes and effects table 3. Improvement of brooder management procedures 4. Conduct an alternative low cost brooder design 5. Investigation of the fabricated brooder sistem and 6. Analysis of the results of the change impact test. The results of the high operational cost DOC process investigation are tight less of the brooder DOC curtain cage, uncontrolled the intensity of the flames, and unfixed of LPG price. The new procedure proposed is fixing the brooder DOC curtain cage, new setting intensity of the flames in day and night, and using an alternative low cost brooder design to avoid unfixed LPG gas price. The proposed procedure is able to reduce brooder operational costs by up to 50%.

Abstract

Energy storage systems (ESS) with large storage capabilities, easy made, and low cost are in high demand. Dynamic lead acid battery (DLAB) as a breakthrough design compared conventional lead acid batteries offers a solution to these problems. Two Dimensional (2D) DLAB simulations with surface area variations of 8 cm2, 12 cm2, 16 cm2 and 20 cm2 were successfully build using the principle of tertiary current distribution and Nerst-Planck Interface. The results for one cycle charge-discharge test showed that the increase in surface area succeeded in increasing the final charging voltage with a value of 2.16 V; 2, 21 V; 2.30 V and 2.32 V and increase the initial discharging voltage by a value of 1.58 V; 1.59 V; 1.60 V and 1.62 V respectively but did not affect the electrode surface concentration. Dynamic lead acid battery has high energy efficiency of 70.6% -71.5%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving untuk meningkatkan literasi sains dan motivasi belajar siswa kelas VIII-A SMP PGRI 6 Malang. Creative Problem Solving (CPS) adalah pembelajaran yang berpusat pada pemecahan masalah yang diikuti dengan penguatan kreativitas. Model Pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving dapat menciptakan pembelajaran yang dapat merangsang siswa menyelesaikannya secara kreatif sehingga dapat digunakan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Subjek penelitian siswa kelas VIII-A SMP PGRI 6 Malang yang berjumlah 25 siswa. penelitian ini dilakukan dua siklus. Jenis penelitian ini PTK (Classroom Action Research) yang masing-masing siklus terdiri dari tahapan-tahapan (1) Perencanaan (planing), (2) pelaksanaan (acting), (3) observer (observation), (4) refleksi (reflecting). Prosedur pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan tes.Hasil penelitian keterlasanaan pembelajaran pada siklus I adalah 70,2% berada pada kualifikasi cukup biak dan pada siklus II 87,19 berada pada kualifikasi baik, sedangkan literasi sains pada siklus I rata-rata kemampuan siswa 75,17 dan pada sisklus II rata-rata kelas 80,08 dan motivasi belajar siswa pada siklus I 60.42% dan pada siklus II 86,12%`. Berdasarkan penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving dapat meningkatkan literasi sains dan motivasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan yaitu(1)mengetahui kualitas keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model guide inquiry,(2)dapat mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar. Adapun penelitian ini menggunakanan pendekatan kualitatif dengan rancangan penelitian tindak kelas,rancangan penelitian ini ada 2 tindakan dan terbagi menjadi 4 tahapan, yaitu: perencanaan,tindakan,pengamatan,dan refleksi.Sasaran dalam tindakan ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII A SMP Negeri 2 Wanukaka terdiri dari 32 orang. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata pada keterlaksanaan kegiatan belajar mengajar pada tindakan 68,12% pada tindakan II 85%. Sedangkan rata-rata hasil belajar dari ketiga ranah yaitu afektif tindakan I 68,67% dan tindakan II 76,25%, kognitif pada tindakan I 73,59% pada tindakan II 82,03%,ranah psikomotorik pada tindakan I 71,04%, pada tindakan II 77,53%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan melalui penerapan model inkuiri terbimbing hasil belajar siswa dapat meningkat.

Abstract

Abstrak. Dalam dunia pendidikan, siswa merupakan elemen penting yang menjadi sasaran utama dari perbaikan mutu pendidikan, sehingga menjadi kewajiban sekolah untuk menyiapkan siswa agar memperoleh prestasi belajarnya secara maksimal. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk membuktikan penggunaan model inkuiri terbimbing berpengaruh terhadap meningkatnya motivasi dan prestasi belajar IPA Fisika. Pelaksanaan penelitian berpedoman pada jenis penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dirancang berdasarkan model berbentuk spiral oleh Kemmis dan Mc. Teggart. Sasaran utama penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII A SMPN 17 Malang dengan komposisi (17 laki-laki dan 16 perempuan) dari total 33 orang siswa dengan latar belakang pendidikan yang heterogen. Alat pengumpulan bahan penelitian berupa lembar soal kompetensi dan lembar observasi motivasi belajar. Hasil yang diperoleh dari pelaksanaan tindakan mengindikasikan adanya peningkatan pembelajaran, baik dari aspek motivasi belajar sebesar (86,39%) maupun aspek aspek prestasi belajar sebesar (80,61%).

Abstract

Dalam mengembangkan suatu produk baru yaitu berupa lembar kerja siswa merupakan tujuan dari penelitian ini.Penelitian ini menggnakan modle R & D, yaitu Foour - D Modeels. Kevalidan LKS yang didasarkan dari ketiga ahli yaitu ahli materi, ahli media dan ahli bahasa, penilain produk LKS bebasis inkuiri terbimbing oleh ahli materi, ahli media dan ahli bahasa menunjukan bahwa kualitas LKS termasuk dalam kriteria “Valid” dengan presentase pencapaiannya sebesar dan Hasil kepraktisan LKS didasarkan pda anket, presentase pencapaiannya sebesar untuk uji coba perorangan presentase pencapaiannya sebesar dengan rata-rata gabungannya untuk uji coba kelompok kecil presentase pencapainnya sebesar dengan rata-rata gabungannya dan uji coba lapangan dengan presentase pencapaiannya sebesar dengan rata-rata gabungannya Hasil keefektivan LKS berdasarkan tes awal dan tes akhir, untuk tes awal diperoleh skor terendahnya skor tertinggi dengan rata-rata skor untuk tes akhir diperoleh skor terendah skor tertinggi , dengan rata-rata skornya Rata-rata skor tes akhir tersebut sudah mencapai sehingga telah mencapai kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM).

Abstract

: Prospective physics teachers are the seeds of the next generation to spread science. But the understanding of science has been balanced with standard laboratory facilitation. In fact there are still many public and private schools that do not have adequate laboratory facilities. Whereas a physics teacher candidate must be able to teach in all fields and conditions. This is a challenge for prospective physics teachers. So the importance of conducting workshops to conduct a learning approach using methods of using practicum media by optimizing the surrounding environment such as the use of passive and active electrical component materials. The implementation of this activity is carried out for six hours consisting of 1. Introduction 2. Characterization 3. Implementation. The results of this dedication activity the prospective physics teachers are very enthusiastic because so far the physics candidates are only limited to knowing but do not understand the physical or physical meaning.
