Abstract

The baby’s immune system is still weak so it needs special attention. Parents are advised to check their baby to the health service regularly. There are along queues due to limited hours of service or doctor’s practice in serving patients. Parents need expert systems to facilitate detection and early prevention. Systems that try to adapt human knowledge to computers to solve problems in the way that experts do are called expert systems. The dempster shafer method will be used in this study as an expert system for infant disease. The way the dempster shafer works is by defining each sysptom with a density value. This study uses 23 type pf symptoms with 3 types of disease. Dengue fever can be identified based on 11 symptoms, 13 sysmptoms of malaria, and 14 symptoms of diarrhea. The results of  calculation on a case study found that the Malaria (TOD02) was the strongest with a value of 0,83 or 83% obtained from the symptoms of the body shivering but sweating (SOD02), vomiting (SOD03), blood in the stool (SOD06), fever appears and disappears simultaneously (SOD16), and red eyes (SOD17) so it is believed that the baby’s disease is Malaria

Abstract

The development of the creative industry in Indonesia is marked by the emergence of content creators such as YouTubers and celebrities. With the emergence of content creators, people in these professions must be more creative and come up with new things in accordance with community trends in accordance with applicable laws in Indonesia. Twitter is one of the social media that can be used to share online and provide information in accordance with the prevailing trends in society. Hashtags or hashtags on Twitter are often used by users to add comments so that when the hashtag is used a lot it will become a trending topic. By analyzing sentiment on trending topics, positive and negative tendencies will be obtained that can help the content creator profession to create content. This study uses the Support Vector Machine (SVM) method to conduct a sentiment analysis process about the twitter hashtag. The data used is hashtag data on twitter. The data that has been obtained is then carried out by text preprocessing, then weighting, and finally sentiment analysis using SVM. This study uses tweet data taken on October 29, 2022 as many as 21 data, namely “BeliPulsaDiGrab” which has two sentiment classes, namely positive sentiment as much as 99% and negative 1% data

Abstract

Embedded system adalah sistem yang dirancang dengan tujuan khusus untuk meningkatkan fungsi mesin atau perangkat elektronika yang di dalamnya terdapat mikrokontroler sebagai pusat pemrosesan data. Era Industri 4.0 saat ini memungkinkan embedded system dapat dimaksimalkan dengan teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) untuk memonitor dan mengontrol dari jarak jauh terhadap perangkat, sensor, atau mesin. Pembelajaran mengenai mikrokontroler saat ini sudah ada di tingkat sekolah pada mata pelajaran Teknologi Informasi dan Komputer (TIK). SMA Hangtuah Tarakan merupakan sekolah di Kota Tarakan Provinsi Kalimantan Utara yang memiliki mata pelajaran lintas minat TIK untuk siswa kelas XI dan XII dengan fokus materi pada pemrograman mikrokontroler. Para siswa yang mengambil mata pelajaran ini masih banyak yang belum mengetahui tentang materi pembelajaran dan tujuan dalam mempelajarinya. Dari hasil survei pre-test sebelum kegiatan dilaksanakan diketahui bahwa tingkat pemahaman siswa masuk kedalam kriteria tidak paham dengan persentase 47,52% atau dengan skor rata-rata 2,38 (skala 5). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, pihak sekolah bekerja sama dengan Program Studi Magister Informatika Universitas Ahmad Dahlan menyelenggarakan pelatihan yang berkaitan dengan tema embedded system. Kegiatan bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan, gambaran, dan praktek mempelajari perkembangan teknologi berkaitan dengan embedded system kepada siswa di sekolah. Pelatihan diikuti oleh 35 siswa dengan metode seminar pemaparan materi dan dilanjutkan dengan memprogram mikokontroler sebagai dasar kendali elektronika. Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak yang positif untuk siswa karena berdasarkan survey post-test yang dilaksanakan diakhir sesi didapatkan pengetahuan dan wawasan siswa tentang perkembangan teknologi di era industri 4.0 dan kemampuan memprogram mikrokontroler meningkat menjadi 60,63% atau skor rata-rata menjadi 3,64 pada (skala 5) pada kriteria sangat paham. An Embedded system is designed with a special purpose to improve the function of a machine or electronic device in which there is a microcontroller as a data processing centre. The current Industrial Era 4.0 allows embedded systems to be maximized with the Internet of Things (IoT) technology to control and monitor devices, sensors, or machines remotely. Learning about microcontrollers currently exists at the school level in Information and Computer Technology (ICT) subjects. SMA Hangtuah Tarakan is a school in Tarakan City, North Kalimantan Province, which has ICT cross-interest subjects for class XI and XII students with a focus on microcontroller programming. Many students who take this subject still need to learn about the learning material and the purpose of studying it. From the results of the pre-test survey before the activity was carried out, the level of student understanding was included in the criteria of not understanding with a percentage of 47.52% or with an average score of 2.38 (scale 5). Based on these results, the school, in collaboration with the Master Program of Informatics Universitas Ahmad Dahlan, organized training related to the embedded systems theme. Activities aim to provide knowledge, description, and practice of studying technological developments related to embedded systems to students in schools. The training was attended by 35 students using the material presentation seminar method and continued with programming the microcontroller as the basis for electronic control. This activity had a positive impact on students because, based on the post-test survey conducted at the end of the session, students' knowledge and insights about technological developments in the industrial era 4.0 and the ability to program microcontrollers increased to 60.63% or an average score of 3.64 in (scale 5) on the criteria of very understanding.

Abstract

Steganography is the science and art of hiding information so that confidential information cannot be known by others, except the sender and receiver. This research is designed to create a steganography system on video with mp4 format. The message is inserted in one of the video frames, first encrypted with the Rijndael algorithm. The method of inserting messages in the video frame is the Least Significant Bit (LSB) method. Extraction of frames on video using ffmpeg software. Qualitative testing used to identify changes in video frames with human senses. Quantitative testing was carried out by testing six videos with different resolutions, while there were five inserted messages with varying Byte lengths. The frame that has been inserted with a message is measured for noise with the Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PNSR). The test results show that the LSB method cannot be used for message insertion whose Byte size is greater than the capacity of the cover video. There is a change in image quality if the size of the inserted message bytes is getting bigger.

Abstract

Face detection in digital photos aims to get the face area in the photo. Problems often occur when detecting faces, namely there is a lot of noise in digital photos so that it affects the detection process. Therefore, in this study apply the median filtering method to improve digital photos by reducing noise in the photos to be tested. The advantage of using this filter is to keep the edges smooth while reducing noise which aims to improve image quality. The ability of this method is measured using the parameters of Mean Square Error (MSE) and Peak Noise to Signal Ratio (PNSR). When the MSE value obtained is low and the PNSR value obtained is high, the results can be said to be good. The method used to detect faces in this research, viola-jones, was chosen because it is one of the face detection procedures with a high level of accuracy and good computational ability. The sample used in this study consisted of 10 digital photos taken using a Samsung A11 smartphone camera with a resolution of 13 mega pixels and 8 mega pixels in JPEG format. The results obtained in this study are the best error values in MSE 0.9517 and PSNR 24.2804. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the mean filtering method is feasible to be used in the case of face detection in this digital photo

Abstract

Rainfall has important role for human life. Rainfall information can be used in several fields including agriculture. As a benchmark for planting periods, water infiltration management, and irrigation. The resources for calculating rainfall are rainfall gauges, ground-based radars and remote sensing satellites. Wonosobo area’s rainfall type is monsoon, meaning that it has one wet period and one dry period. It has fluctuating varied rainfall every month and the availability of rainfall data is uncertain each year. As a mountainous area, Wonosobo’s agricultural sector is very dominant for their economic. Weather Observation, especially rainfall, is important because it can be used by related parties, especially in the agricultural sector. In addition, to provide rainfall data in areas with no observation stations. This study aims to design and implement a rainfall prediction system by developing the Waterfall Model Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Software and implementing backpropagation artificial neural networks (ANN). System development using the SDLC waterfall model was chosen because it is simple, easy to understand and implement. ANN backpropagation is applied in the prediction system because of its advantage that can be applied to a problem related to prediction. Testing on the system built for training and validation produces training accuracy of 93.92% with validation of 73.04%, indicating that the system can be used and has been running expectedly. The best ANN architecture was obtained on the test with input layer 3, hidden layer 12, and output 1 values, learning rate 0.5 momentum 0.9. From the SSE 0.1 target, the SSE is 0.302868.

Abstract

The dry season is a season where most regions in Indonesia experience an increase in temperature. This unstable temperature can have a negative effect on the human body, so a control device is needed according to the needs of the body automatically. This study focuses on optimizing room temperature and humidity control in Yogyakarta City using a fan duty cycle unit with the Fuzzy Tsukamoto method. The ideal temperature and humidity range is obtained from measurements by the Indonesian Board of Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BMKG). The purpose of this study is to reduce the hot temperature in the room to normal temperature conditions. The calculation results with a temperature of 28.29°C and humidity of 79.06% resulted in a duty cycle of 40.92%. Based on 50 sample data taken each fan rotated for five minutes showed that the average change in temperature was -0.01°C and humidity -0.032%, meaning it could lower 0.01°C and humidity 0.032% every five minutes. This result is considered inefficient considering the very small changes, so in subsequent studies it is recommended to use technology such as air conditioning as a control tool

Abstract

In face recognition, the input image used will be converted into a simple image, which will then be analyzed. The analysis was carried out by calculating the distance of data similarity. In the process of measuring data similarity distances, they often experience problems implementing complex algorithm formulas. This research will solve this problem by implementing the Manhattan method as a method of measuring data similarity distances. In this study, it is hoped that the Manhattan method can be used properly in the process of matching test images and training images by calculating the proximity distance between the two variables. The distance sought is the shortest distance; the smaller the distance obtained, the higher the level of data compatibility. The image used in this study was converted into grayscale to facilitate the facial recognition process by thresholding, namely the process of converting a grayscale image into a binary image. The binary image of the test data is compared with the binary image of the training data. The image used in this study is in the Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG) format. Testing was carried out with 20 respondents, with each having two training images and two test images. The research was conducted by conducting experiments as many as 20 times. Facial recognition research using the Manhattan method obtains an accuracy of 70%. The image lighting used as the dataset influenced the accuracy results obtained in this study. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the Manhattan method is not good for use in facial recognition research with poor lighting.

Abstract

Selection of the best employee is a form of appreciation that can be shown by the company for the achievements of its employees. This appreciation can motivate employees to be more enthusiastic in improving their performance at work. Appropriate evaluation and decision-making methods need to be taken so that the best employee selection process runs objectively, transparently, and in accordance with established standards. This study aimed to select the best employee candidates at PT Kerry Express Indonesia using the multi attribute utility theory (MAUT) method. The criteria for the selection process as follows: attendance (weight = 2), output obtained (weight = 3), discipline (weight = 3), and reporting (weight= 2). The employees in this study were 30 respondents from 150 populations. The assessment was carried out for three months from January to April 2022. The calculations were carried out using the Microsoft Access tool. The results of calculations using the MAUT method show that the highest rank among all candidates has a score of 7.75 while the lowest rank had a score of 3.25. It can be concluded that the MAUT method can be used to select the best employees at PT. Kerry Express Indonesia effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

Automatic plant watering system can help users in caring for plants. Along with the development of technology, it is possible to monitor and control using the Internet of Things (IoT) from anywhere and anytime as long as the device is connected to the internet. The system designed in this study performs watering on chili plant automatically and in real time monitored through the Blynk application on a smartphone. Automation is carried out based on the moisture value parameter obtained from the capacitive soil moisture sensor as input and the NodeMCU ESP8266 as the controller. The output of the system is water sprinkling that comes out through a 12V DC water pump as an actuator and the Blynk application as a monitor and controller via IoT. Automation and monitoring through smartphones using the Blynk application in this study have been successfully carried out. Watering can be done regularly according to predetermined time intervals automatically and the amount of water given to plants according to their needs. At a humidity that is less than 60% and the schedule is appropriate, the pump will run for 4 seconds with a water discharge of 116.32 ml which has been adjusted to the volume of soil and water needs of chili plant.
