Abstract

Abstract

Non-performing loans remain a critical challenge for cooperatives as they can undermine financial stability, erode member trust, and impede institutional growth. This study develops a predictive model for cooperative loan eligibility using supervised machine learning techniques and a novel three-class classification framework, Approved, Consideration, and Rejected, to support more objective and transparent decision-making. A dataset of 1,000 borrower records containing demographic and financial attributes was analyzed using Naive Bayes, Decision Tree, and Random Forest algorithms implemented in RapidMiner. The Random Forest algorithm achieved the best predictive performance with an accuracy of 96.02%, demonstrating its robustness and reliability compared to the other models. The proposed three-class system differentiates this study from conventional binary classification approaches, enabling finer distinctions among borrower categories and promoting fairness in cooperative credit evaluations. The findings provide practical guidance for cooperatives to adopt data-driven, transparent, and accountable decision-making systems that reduce manual bias and strengthen financial inclusion. Overall, the proposed three-class model built through a supervised learning framework offers a reliable, fair, and scalable solution to support sustainable lending practices and enhance risk management in cooperative institutions.

Abstract

The lack of digital documentation in preserving traditional Malay architecture faces serious challenges, especially with the modernization that slowly obscures the shape and authenticity of the building. Essential elements such as roof shapes, stage structures, and typical ornamental carvings are difficult to identify manually without special skills and considerable time. Malay architecture is an integral part of Indonesia's cultural heritage that needs to be documented systematically and digitally. Along with advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, traditional buildings' intense learning, identification, and classification can now be done automatically through video-based visual data processing. This study uses a video-based deep learning approach to develop and evaluate a classification system for traditional Malay buildings. Two types of architecture are used: Residual Network (ResNet) and Vision Transformer (ViT). The dataset in the form of videos of traditional buildings was collected from the Pekanbaru, Riau Province, then processed through frame extraction, spatial-temporal augmentation, and visual annotation, resulting in a total of 1,500 frames as training data. This study also presents a novel aspect by comparing the performance of five deep learning models: ResNet18, ResNet34, ResNet50, ResNet101 (CNN), and ViT based on self-attention. ViT, which is rarely used in traditional video-based architecture, shows competitive accuracy and proves its effectiveness in understanding global visual relationships. The training method is carried out using supervised learning and evaluated based on classification accuracy. The test results show that all models can accurately identify visual features of Malay architecture. ResNet50 recorded the highest accuracy (100%), followed by ResNet18 (96.0%), ResNet101 (94.9%), ResNet34 (93.9%), and ViT (93.9%). These findings strengthen the potential for utilizing deep learning in cultural preservation through a video-based automatic documentation system.

Abstract

Network forensic investigations rely heavily on the integrity and traceability of Packet Capture (PCAP) files as primary digital evidence. Digital Forensic Research Workshop (DFRWS) implementations commonly employ centralized preservation mechanisms that remain vulnerable to unauthorized modification and provide limited provenance transparency. To address these limitations, this study proposes a blockchain-based preservation framework integrated into the preservation phase of the DFRWS model. The framework combines SHA-256 cryptographic hashing for integrity verification, blockchain-based provenance logging, and distributed ledger validation while maintaining off-chain evidence storage. Unlike many existing blockchain-based forensic frameworks that primarily emphasize provenance recording and chain-of-custody management, this study evaluates evidence preservation through an integrated validation approach consisting of controlled tampering simulation, cryptographic sensitivity analysis, and preservation latency measurement. Experimental evaluation using PCAP datasets representing attack and baseline traffic conditions demonstrated that unauthorized evidence modification was successfully detected through hash inconsistencies. Avalanche Effect analysis produced a value of 50.39%, confirming the strong cryptographic sensitivity of the SHA-256 mechanism to minimal data alteration. While SHA-256 enables reliable tampering detection, the integrated blockchain architecture provides tamper-resistant provenance recording, chain-of-custody traceability, and distributed verification of evidence integrity. The framework achieved an average preservation latency of 2.057 seconds within the experimental environment, providing preliminary evidence of feasibility for blockchain-assisted forensic logging under controlled conditions. Although no direct comparison with alternative preservation approaches was conducted, the findings provide a proof-of-concept validation and contribute empirical evidence regarding the potential of blockchain-supported provenance management to enhance trustworthiness and integrity assurance in network forensic workflows.
