Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility level of physics worksheets and to figure out the increase on student’s understanding after using the physics worksheets based on science process skills. This study is a development research employing ADDIE development model which consists of five stages, namely: analysis, design, development, and implementation. The design of this study was One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The instruments used were validity assessment sheet, feasibility assessment sheet, questionnaire about the students’ response toward the worksheets based on science process skills, and assessment of science process skills. the data were analyzed by using percentage of agreement (R), and N-gain (g). The results showed that the physics students’ worksheet based on science process skills was feasible and could be used in learning as the feasibility level reached 97%. The students’ understanding of fluid material gained through working with the worksheets can improve students’ science process skills both at the basic level and at the integrated level. This is proven by the results of the initial test or pre-test which indicate that the students' science process skills affected the learning outcomes obtained in which 62.25% of students’ scores were in good category and 35.75% of students’ scores were in fair category. Meanwhile, in the final test or post-test of students' science process skills, it was obtained that 74.50% of students’ scores were in very good category and 25.50% of students’ scores were in the fair category. This means that there is an increase by 0.7 % in students' science process skills when using the students’ worksheets.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the improvement of the science of process skill and scientific attitude of students through the implementtation of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL).  This research used in this study is Classroom action research using the Kemmis Mc Taggart model which consist of two cycles each cycle through the stages of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The result of this study shows that the implementation of learning in cycle II was more increased compared to the learning process in cycle I. this is indicated by the value of N-Gain Sciences process skills in the first cycle of 0.432 while in the second cycle increased to 0.70; and N-Gain for scientific attitudes in cycle I was 0.252 while in cycle II it increased to 0.392

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of applying the problem-based learning (PBL) model on the critical thinking skills of eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 6 Borong. The type of research used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental research design (quasi-experimental) with a Posttest- Only Control Group Design. The population in this study were all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 6 Borong totaling 89 people who were obtained using a random sampling technique. The data collection technique used a test in a description test to measure students' critical thinking skills. Data analysis used normality test, normality test, and hypothesis testing. The results of the study using SPSS 24 obtained the results of the research, namely a significant value for (sig 2- tailed) of 0.000 <0.05, which means that there is an effect of implementing the Problem Based Learning learning model on critical thinking skills so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted.

Abstract

Analysis of vertical motion in free fall and bullet motion with the video tracking method has been carried out. This study aims to analyze the vertical motion pattern in the free fall and bullet motion, specifically the ball launching from the edge of the table. The research was carried out by rolling the ball until it slid and releasing the ball from the edge of the table until it experienced a free fall motion with the height of the table from the two activities of about 1 meter. This activity was carried out repeatedly until obtaining 5 videos of each event and recorded using the Vivo android camera. Furthermore, researchers analyzed using the Tracker application to obtain information data about vertical motion patterns, graphs of changes in position with time, and graphs of velocity against time. Result regressive analysis can derive equations Vy = Ax + B and Y = Ax + B

Abstract

Abstrak, Pendidikan yang baik dilihat dari proses pembelajaran dan hasil belajar yang dicapai oleh para lulusan. Oleh karena itu perbaikan mutu pendidikan pada setiap jenjang telah dilakukan oleh pemerintah dengan penyempurnaan kurikulum, penyediaan sarana dan prasarana, fasilitas belajar, sumber balajar, peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran di kelas dengan pendekatan kompetensi siswa. Namun tidak dapat dipungkiri hasil yang didapat masih jauh dari apa yang diharapkan yang mana nilai hasil belajar IPA masih rendah. Guru harus mampu memberikan keterampilan dalam mengembangkan pengetahuan serta sikap percaya diri agar dapat diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari yang berkaitan dengan proses sains, membentuk sikap positif terhadap ilmu sains dengan menikmati dan menyadari keindahan, keteraturan perilaku alam serta dapat menjelaskan berbagai peristiwa alam dan dapat menerapkan keluasan ilmu sains dalam kehidpan sehari-hari. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Non random control group, pre-test-post-test design (Donald Ary, 2010: 307). Sebelum proses pembelajaran dimulai dilakukan tes awal (pre-test), dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman konsep dan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Perbedaan pemahaman konsep antara siswa yang belajar menggunakan model pembelajaran discover learning dengan siswa yang belajar menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional pada materi tata surya. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai thitung 2,426 dengan nilai signifikannya adalah 0,018<0,05. Sementara keterampilan proses sains antara siswa yang belajar menggunakan model pembelajaran discovery learning dengan siswa yang belajar menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional pada materi tata surya dengan mempunyai nilai thitung 2,732 dengan nilai signifikannya 0,008<0,05 dengan nilai dk=N-2-62.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the learning model. Inquiry Training on Learning Outcomes of Class X Students at SMA Negeri 3 Borong. The type of research used was quantitative by design, quarry experiment with a posttest-only control group design. The population in this study were all class X students at SMA Negeri 3 Borong totaling 58 people. The sample of this study consisted of 2 classes obtained using a random sampling technique, namely class X-A as many as 29 people as an experimental class using the inquiry learning model and class X-B as many as 29 people as a control class using conventional learning. tests in the form of multiple choice tests, tests to measure student learning outcomes, data analysis using uit. The results of the study using SPSS 28 obtained the results of the analysis, namely a significant value for (ig 2-tailed) of 0.001 0.05, which means that there is an effect of applying the inquiry training learning model on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) merupakan salah satu media pembelajaran yag dapat melatih siswa berpikir, bertindak dan bersikap seperti ilmuan muda. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan sebuah LKS IPA berkarakter menggunakan model inquiry dan menganalisis pengembangan LKS tersebut terhadap prestasi belajar dan karakter siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas IXa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa keals IXd sebagai kelas control. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Prosedur penelitian meliputi; pendahuluan, rancangan, dan pengembangan. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan metode angket, metode tes dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan presentase, uji-t, dan uji gain. Hasil analisis disimpulkan bahwa uji kelayakan Lembar Kerja Siswa ilmu pengetahuan alam berkarakter dengan model inquiry sangat layak digunakan sebagai panduan pembelajaran ilmu pengetahuan alam. Terdapat perbedaan prestasi belajar yang signifikan antara siswa pada kelas eksperimen dengan siswa pada kelas control.

Abstract

Masalah yang dirumuskan dalam penelitian ini apakah pendekatan saintifik berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas X SMA Negeri I Mauponggo tahun pelajaran 2017/2018? Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan saintifik dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas X SMA Negeri I Mauponggo tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian eksperimen dengan pre-experimental design dan model one-shot case study. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri I Mauponggo dengan sampel yaitu siswa kelas X MIPA yang diperoleh dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data yang diperoleh peneliti berupa nilai keterampilan proses sains dengan analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji-t satu sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan saintifik berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas X SMA Negeri I Mauponggo tahun pelajaran 2017/2018.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah agar guru-guru dapat menyusun proposal Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), melaksanakan penelitian, dan juga dapat melaporkan hasil penelitian. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan karena sebagian besar guru-guru SMP/MTs di Kecamatan Nangapanda mengalami kesulitan dalam melaksanakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Hal ini dikarenakan guru-guru belum terbiasa dalam menyusun karya ilmiah, keterbatasan waktu karena keseharian disibukan dengan mengajar, serta menyusun berbagai perangkat pembelajaran berupa Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran, instrumen penilaian serta persiapan-persiapan lainnya. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan dalam bentuk pelatihan dan pendampingan terhadap 20 orang guru. Hasil yang dicapai dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah 80% guru-guru telah memahami dengan baik teknik dalam menyusun proposal PTK. 60% guru telah menyusun proposal PTK dan 40% mampu melaporkan hasil PTK. Satu hasil penelitian telah dipublikasikan pada jurnal online tidak terakreditasi. Kata Kunci: Guru, Pendampingan, Pelatihan, Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK).

Abstract

Waste from the textile industry is considered as a potential source of environmental pollution, especially water because it contains dangerous dyes. In this research, natural zeolite is used as an effective and efficient alternative adsorbent to overcome pollution caused by methylene blue and methyl orange dyes. Activation of natural zeolite was carried out with 3 M HCl solution and was characterized using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). While the methylene blue and methyl orange adsorption processes were studied in variations in the weight of the adsorbent, contact time, and pH. The concentration of dyes left in the solution was observed with Spectrophotometer UV-Vis. The results showed that the adsorption capacity of natural zeolite in absorbing methylene blue was 21.189 mg/g and methyl orange was 18.208 mg/g. The optimum conditions of methylene blue and methyl orange adsorption are achieved with successive adsorbent weights 0.3 g and 0,4 g, successive contact times are 60 minutes and 90 minutes, and successive pH are 6 and 2 respectively. The adsorbent weight factor, contact time, and pH have an effect on the adsorption of methylene blue and methyl orange by natural zeolite from Ende.
