Abstract

Abstract: The management curriculum is a very important factor for any educational institution to support the success of the educational program. This research aims to study, observe and describe the curriculum management FKIP Unsyiah Sendratasik Education, include: 1) The process of curriculum planning; 2) Implementation of the curriculum; and 3) Evaluation of the curriculum. This study used a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques used were observation, interview and documentation. Subjects in this study maids Dean, Chairman and Secretary Prodi Sendratasik, lecturers and students. The results showed that the management education curriculum Prodi Sendratasik include: 1) The Curriculum education Sendratasik Unsyiah was referring to the Malang University Sendratasik Curriculum. The curriculum planning process, conducted according to the provisions and regulations of the department of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education UNSYIAH. 2) The implementation of the entire learning program based on the vision, mission, and goals are already running but has not yet been fullest. Implementation of the curriculum include: lesson planning, lesson implementation, and evaluation of learning, has been running well and all the activities run in accordance with the academic calendar, but it still faces various problems due to infrastructure inadequate.3) Evaluation of the curriculum is done every end of the semester, the curriculum revision is done periodically when needed. Education study program curriculum Sendratasik imposed four curriculum structure that is not in accordance with the nomenclature of Higher Education, is considered less effective relevance to junior high / high school curriculum as well as the application of the four structures are not supported by adequate human resources.Keywords: Management Curriculum and Arts Education CurriculumAbstrak: Manajemen kurikulum merupakan faktor yang sangat penting bagi setiap institusi pendidikan guna mendukung keberhasilan Program pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji, mengamati dan mendeskripsikan manajemen kurikulum program studi Pendidikan Sendratasik FKIP Unsyiah, meliputi: 1) Proses perencanaan kurikulum; 2) Implementasi kurikulum; dan 3) Evaluasi kurikulum. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini pembantu Dekan I, Ketua dan Sekretaris Prodi Sendratasik, dosen-dosen dan mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen kurikulum Prodi Pendidikan Sendratasik meliputi: 1) kurikulum Prodi Pendidikan Sendratasik Unsyiah merujuk pada kurikulum Sendratasik Universitas Malang, prosesnya dilaksanakan sesuai ketentuan prodi dan ketentuan dari Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Syiah Kuala. 2) Implementasi kurikulum yang meliputi: Pelaksanaan seluruh Program pembelajaran berdasarkan visi, misi dan tujuan, sudah berjalan namun belum maksimal, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, dan evaluasi pembelajaran, sudah berjalan dengan baik dan segala kegiatan berjalan sesuai dengan kalender akademik, namun masih menghadapi berbagai kendala dikarenakan sarana dan prasarana yang kurang memadai. 3) Evaluasi kurikulum yang dilakukan setiap berakhir semester, revisi kurikulum yang dilakukan secara berkala apabila dibutuhkan. kurikulum prodi Pendidikan Sendratasik memberlakukan empat struktur kurikulum yang tidak sesuai dengan nomenklatur Dikti, dianggap kurang efektif relevansinya dengan SMP/SMA serta penerapan empat struktur kurikulum tidak ditunjang SDM yang memadai.Kata Kunci : Manajemen Kurikulum dan Kurikulum Pendidikan Seni

Abstract

Education facilities and infrastructure is one part of the existing management within educational institutions, facilities and infrastructure have a very important role in an organization, institution or educational institution. Without the facilities and infrastructure that support the education process is not running properly. The purpose this study is to find out a complete and accurate of management facilities and infrastructure in SMA Negeri 3 Banda Aceh. The approach this research is qualitative. Instruments this study are interview guides, observation guides, documentation study guide. Data collection techniques are interviews, observation, documentation. The results this study are: (1) Planning facilities and infrastructure is analyzing and selecting needs that accordance with curriculum; (2) The procurement facilities and infrastructure starts from the draft budget approved by the agency based on the available funding sources. Procurement proposals are submitted to education office and other relevant departments and school alumni; (3) Maintenance facilities and infrastructure is by organizing routine maintenance every year, and major maintenance should make a proposal to propose funds the government; (4) Inventory facilities and infrastructure is done by administering inventory based on guidance from local government; (5) The process elimination facilities and infrastructure is done by making the proposal for the elimination of unsuitable goods used submitted to the municipal administration. The conclusion this research is planning facilities and infrastructure is analyzing needs that accordance with curriculum. Abstract

Abstract: The school management can mean everything pertaining to the management of the educational process to achieve the stated goals, both short-term goals, medium, or panjang.Tujuan term goal of this research was to determine the school management to improve the quality of education, to include: (1) Planning school programs; (2) The implementation of school programs and (3) Barriers faced. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, techniques of data collection is done through interview, observation guidelines, and documentation. Subjects were principals, supervisors and teachers in primary schools Boarding School Jar Pidie district. Research results found: (1) planning school programs include: teaching programs, including: the need of teachers sharing teaching duties, procurement of textbooks, teaching tools and props, procurement or development of school laboratories, procurement or development of school libraries, system of assessment of learning outcomes, and curricular activities; (2) The implementation of school programs that the strategy adopted to achieve the improvement of the quality of education, include: socialization program, SWOT analysis, problem solving, quality improvement, and monitoring and evaluating the implementation of school programs; and (3) Barriers in planning school programs, among others, lack of community participation and economic difficulties so that their support for the management of low participating schools. It is expected that supervisors in order to direct and supervise principals in improving the quality of education on school program planning, program implementation and obstacles faced by appropriate, effective and efficient so that the quality of education in the schools can be improved.Keywords: Quality Management and the School of EducationAbstrak: Manajemen sekolah dapat diartikan segala sesuatu yang berkenaan dengan pengelolaan proses pendidikan untuk mencapai tujuan yang telah ditetapkan, baik tujuan jangka pendek, menengah, maupun tujuan jangka panjang.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui manajemen sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan, dengan meliputi: (1) Perencanaan program sekolah; (2) Pelaksanaan program sekolah dan (3) Hambatan yang dihadapinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pedoman wawancara, pedoman observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, pengawas dan guru pada SD Negeri Dayah Guci Kabupaten Pidie. Hasil penelitiannya ditemukan: (1) Perencanaan program sekolah mencakup: program pengajaran, meliputi: kebutuhan tenaga guru pembagian tugas mengajar, pengadaan buku-buku pelajaran, alat-alat pelajaran dan alat peraga, pengadaan atau pengembangan laboratorium sekolah, pengadaan atau pengembangan perpustakaan sekolah, sistem penilaian hasil belajar, dan kegiatan kurikuler; (2) Pelaksanaan program sekolah yaitu strategi yang diterapkan untuk tercapainya peningkatan mutu pendidikan, meliputi: sosialisasi program, analisis SWOT, pemecahan masalah, peningkatan mutu, dan pemantauan dan evaluasi pelaksanaan program sekolah; dan (3) Hambatan dalam perencanaan program sekolah, antara lain kurangnya partisipasi masyarakat dan kesulitan ekonominya sehingga dukungan mereka terhadap manajemen sekolah ikut rendah. Diharapkan kepada pengawas agar dapat mengarahkan dan mengawasi kepala sekolah dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan tentang perencanaan program sekolah, pelaksanaan program dan hambatan yang dihadapinya secara tepat guna, efektif dan efesien sehingga mutu pendidikan di sekolah tersebut dapat ditingkatkan.Kata Kunci: Manajemen Sekolah dan Mutu Pendidikan

Abstract

Abstract: School based management is one of management concepts which aims to increase the quality of education by giving a broad autonomy to a school. This research aimed to find out the implementation of school based management in State Senior High School 5 Banda Aceh. This research used a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The techniques of data collection were carried out through interview, observation, and documentation study. The subjects of research were the principal, the vice principal, the teachers, the administrative staffs and the committee of State Senior High School 5 Banda Aceh. The results of research showed that: (1) the implementation of school based management in curriculum affairs was begun from designing vision, mission, school objectives, learning program, division of task, extracuricular and curricular activities, syllabus development, lesson plan, teaching schedule, structure, and academic calendar; (2) student affair has been appropriate to the program, which includes acceptance of new students, activity of student orientation period, determination students in a particular class, students’ attendance and discipline at school eventhough there were still students who were not discipline; (3) in field personnel, the recruitment was still managed by a local government; coaching and professional development of teachers were implemented through training activities, subject teachers’ forum, giving a permission for higher education and doing a supervision; meanwhile, mutation and pensioners were still managed by a local government; (4) financial management was carried out by establishing source of funds and analysing needs, budget allocation, supervision and reporting which invoved school stakeholders; and (5) in terms of relations with the community, it has been run well, and it is directed to achieve school objectives and to do a socialisation about school-based management as an effort to involve a community for its active participation to help school.Keywords: School-based Management and Quality of EducationAbstrak: Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah merupakan salah satu konsep manajemen dalam upaya untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan dengan memberikan otonomi luas pada sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui  pelaksanaan manajemen berbasis sekolah pada SMA Negeri 5 Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, guru, tata usaha dan komite SMA Negeri 5 Banda Aceh. Hasil penelitian  menunjukkan bahwa: (1) penerapan manajemen berbasis sekolah dalam bidang kurikulum dimulai dari penyusunan visi, misi, tujuan sekolah, program pembelajaran, pembagian tugas, kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, pengembangan silabus, rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP), jadwal pengajaran, struktur dan kalender pendidikan; (2) bidang kesiswaan, sudah sesuai dengan program meliputi penerimaan siswa baru, kegiatan masa orientasi siswa, penetapan siswa pada kelas tertentu, kehadiran dan disiplin siswa di sekolah. namun masih adanya siswa yang kurang disiplin; (3) bidang personalia, rekruitmen masih diatur oleh pemerintah daerah, pembinaan dan peningkatan profesional guru dilaksanakan melalui kegiatan pelatihan, MGMP, memberikan izin untuk pendidikan lanjutan dan melakukan supervisi, sedangkan mutasi dan pensiunan juga masih dikelola oleh pemerintah daerah; (4) dalam pengelolaan keuangan dilakukan dengan penetapan sumber dana, menganalisis kebutuhan, alokasi anggaran, pengawasan dan pelaporan dengan melibatkan stakeholder sekolah; dan (5) dalam bidang hubungan dengan masyarakat sudah berjalan dengan baik, diarahkan untuk mencapai tujuan sekolah dan melakukan sosialisasi tentang manajemen berbasis sekolah sebagai upaya melibatkan masyarakat untuk berpartisipasi aktif membantu sekolah.Kata Kunci: Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah dan Mutu Pendidikan

Abstract

The principal as an educator has a strategic role in enhancing the teachers’ competence. The purpose of this study was to investigate the program, the principal’s strategies, the factors that influence and obstacles faced by principal as an educator in improving the teachers’ competence at Vocational School (SMK) No 2 of Sigli, Pidie Regency. This research used the descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used was observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects in this study were a principal and teachers. The results showed that (1) The principal has carried out his role as an educator in improving the competence of teachers were to coach and mentor to teachers in the learning process, to conduct training, to provide mental and moral guidance of teachers, to provide encouragement and motivation to teachers; (2) The strategy of principal as an educator in improving the competence of teachers was by providing an understanding of the importance of the task which raised awareness of their own to do a good job. To face the teachers, principals usually always regarded teachers as partners, so that the principal could consult, discuss and exchange ideas with teachers, so it was found an effective way to improve the teachers’ competence; (3) Factors that influence the principal as educators were the commitment of teachers to the task given by the principal, disciplinary and exemplary principals; and (4) The obstacles faced by the principals as educators were the lack of responsibility of teachers in performing their duties and less than the maximum in the division of work.Keywords: principal, educator and teachers’ competence.

Abstract

Abstract: Early childhood education today has become the need of society. Although early childhood education, including education level of recognition, but education has contributed a lot to the development of children's education. This study aims to determine the implementation of the management of early childhood education made Al-Fath Sabang. This research uses descriptive method with a qualitative approach to data collection tool while using interviews, observation and documentation study questionnaire. As for the subjects in this study is the element that includes the school principal and teachers in early childhood Sabang Al-Fath, elements of the parents. The results showed that: (1) Planning early childhood education programs in school of Al-Fath, was generally well conceived, it has the look of the planningprogram of educational activities in accordance with the provisions of a plan of activities. (2) Organization of Al-Fath in early childhood, was publicly reflects the relevance of the ability and skills to the needs of education personnel. (3) The implementation of early childhood education in Al-Fath directed in the learning process goes well, effective and fun. (4) Supervision conducted by the two surveillance systems, namely: the direct supervision andcontrol of functional superiors. Abstract

Abstract: Style or manner of a school principal in his capacity as leader largely determine success in improving teacher performance under his leadership. The purpose of this study was to obtain data on (1) the principal's leadership style in improving labor discipline, (2) the principal's leadership style to motivate the work of teachers, (3) the principal's leadership style in increasing responsibilities and (4) constraints faced by principals in improving teacher performance. By using a qualitative approach, data collection techniques of observation, interviews and documentary studies, research subjects principals, and teachers, the data analysis techniques with qualitative analysis. This study shows that (1) the principal's leadership style instructive apply (telling) in improving discipline, (2) applying the principal consultative leadership style (selling) in improving work motivation of teachers, (3) the principal's leadership style apply discretionary (delegating) in improving the teacher's responsibility, and (4) the obstacles faced by the school principal that the decline in teacher discipline, teacher performance lack of motivation, and low sense of responsibility in the learning of teachers. It is recommended that the principals can implement a better leadership style or varied so that the desired goal can be achieved with good and maximum.Keywords: Principal Leadership Styles and Teacher PerformanceAbstrak: Gaya atau cara seorang kepala sekolah dalam kapasitasnya sebagai pemimpin sangat menentukan keberhasilan peningkatan kinerja guru di bawah pimpinannya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan data tentang (1) gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan disiplin kerja, (2) gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan motivasi kerja guru, (3) gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan tanggung jawab dan  (4) kendala-kendala yang dihadapi kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) kepala sekolah menerapkan gaya kepemimpinan instruktif (telling) dalam meningkatkan kedisiplinan, (2) kepala sekolah menerapkan gaya kepemimpinan konsultatif (selling) dalam meningkatkan motivasi kerja guru, (3) kepala sekolah menerapkan gaya kepemimpinan delegatif (delegating) dalam meningkatkan tanggung jawab guru, dan (4) kendala-kendala yang dihadapi kepala sekolah yaitu menurunya kedisiplinan guru, kurangnya motivasi kinerja guru, dan rendah rasa tanggung jawab guru dalam pembelajaran. Abstract

The objective of this research was to find out the principal’s management behavior in improving the teachers’ pedagogical competence at State Junior High School 6 of Banda Aceh.  This qualitative research was conducted by means of a descriptive method.  The results showed that (1) the program was arranged at the beginning of each academic year by creating a TPS in accordance with the results of discussions and meetings with several related parties. The program arranged in the RKAS consisted of workshop and training in writing lesson plans, making exam content outlines, preparing teaching instruments, conducting classroom action research, supervising classes, and doing IHT and school self-evaluation. In addition, (2) the implementation of the program was started with dividing tasks and authorities, conducting meetings, sharing information, and briefing. Moreover, a reward was given to every teacher with good performance while each teacher with poor performance received punishment. However, (3) there was no instrument used as the guideline in the evaluation of each workshop, classroom action research, and IHT. The results of evaluation were documented and presented to each teacher or a group of teachers in order to be considered in the following year program. Abstract

Performance is the result of employees. Performance has to do with ability and motivation. This study aims to determine the performance of school administration through the implementation of fingerprint attendance at SMK Negeri 3 Banda Aceh. To achieve this goal, this research uses qualitative approach with descriptive method. The data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Research subjects are principal, head of administration and school administration staff. The results showed that: The performance of school administration staff at SMK Negeri 3 Banda Aceh is good and professional. The Effort to improving their professionalism are: (1) training and socialization; (2) learn independently. The effort of the principal to improve professional school administration staff that principal gives chance for them on training and socialization and also coaching, and supervising. The factors affect of performance and professionalism of school administration staff are: a) Motivation. b) Leadership. c) Infrastructure facilities. d) Working climate. Abstract: This research aimed to determine the planning, implementation, evaluation, and obstacles found in the implementation of learning management training prajabatan the Personnel Board of Education and Training Aceh. This research used descriptive method with qualitative approach, data collection techniques were interviews, observation and documentation study. The results of research showed that: (1) Planning of training prajabatan according to its competence established Institute of Public Administration of the Republic of Indonesia; (2) Implementation of training prajabatan learning by trainers (3) The evaluation study conducted to determine the ability of the participants in the mastery of the material through a written exam once all eyes are given training in the curriculum; and (4) The obstacles encountered in the implementation of learning management training prajabatan is the lack of ability to effectively manage learning by trainer, lack of intrinsic motivation training participants, and the lack of monitoring by the organizers of the training.Keywords : learning management and trainingAbstrak: Peneli­tian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, dan hambatan-hambatan yang ditemukan dalam pelaksanaan manajemen pembelajaran diklat prajabatan pada Badan Kepegawaian Pendidikan dan Pelatihan Aceh. Penelitian ini mengunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, teknik pengumpulan data adalah wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa:(1) Perencanaan dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran diklat prajabatan dilakukan oleh tenaga pengajar sesuai kompetensi yang ditetapkan Lembaga Administrasi Negara Republik Indonesia; (2) Pelaksanaan pembelajaran diklat prajabatan dilakukan oleh widyaiswara sesuai kompetensi yang ditetapkan Lembaga Administrasi Negara Republik Indonesia; (3) Evaluasi pembelajaran dilakukan untuk mengetahui kemampuan peserta dalam penguasaan materi melalui ujian tertulis setelah seluruh mata diklat dalam kurikulum diberikan; dan (4) Hambatan-hambatan yang dihadapi dalam pelaksanaan manajemen pembelajaran diklat prajabatan adalah kurangnya kemampuan pengelolaan pembelajaran secara efektif oleh widyaiswara, kurangnya motivasi intrinsik peserta diklat, dan kurangnya pemantauan oleh penyelenggara diklat.Kata kunci: manajemen dan pembelajaran diklat.
