Abstract

The digital transformation of the scientific publishing industry has reshaped customer expectations regarding service quality, pricing, and product innovation. Yet, limited empirical insights exist into how these dimensions collectively shape customer satisfaction within digital publishing environments. This study identifies and prioritizes the key factors driving customer satisfaction in digital scientific journal publishing at PT Penerbit Ilmiah Indonesia. A quantitative design integrating the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Pearson correlation analysis was employed to evaluate the priorities and interrelationships among product, price, and service quality dimensions. Data were obtained from 106 Open Journal Systems (OJS) users through an online survey encompassing 12 evaluation sub-criteria. The AHP results revealed interface design (0.1986), system reliability (0.1544), and review process speed (0.1201) as top priorities. Pearson correlation results demonstrated that price showed the strongest association with satisfaction (r = 0.846, p < 0.001), followed by service quality (r = 0.814) and product quality (r = 0.715). These findings underscore the strategic need to enhance platform usability and ensure pricing transparency to foster user satisfaction and loyalty. The study contributes to advancing data-driven service optimization frameworks and provides actionable insights for publishers to refine customer-centric digital marketing strategies.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the tourism and hospitality sectors, prompting the need for standardized health and safety protocols to restore public trust. In response, the Indonesian government introduced the SNI CHSE (Cleanliness, Health, Safety, and Environment) certification, which was initially provided free of charge during the pandemic. However, in the post-pandemic period, the certification transitioned into a paid program, creating new challenges for adoption among hotel business operators. This study aims to analyze the influence of certification product, certification cost, and promotion on hotel operators’ decisions to pursue SNI CHSE certification. Employing a quantitative approach through a survey method, data were collected from 100 hotel business actors affiliated with the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association and analyzed using SEM-PLS. The findings reveal that all three factors product, cost, and promotion significantly influence the decision to undertake certification. These results provide strategic implications for policymakers and tourism industry stakeholders in strengthening sustainable tourism recovery through broader CHSE certification implementation, as well as practical implications for designing more effective certification schemes, pricing strategies, and targeted promotional efforts.

Abstract

Socioeconomic disparities in Jakarta continue to hinder the development of high-quality human resources, particularly among marginalized communities. In response, the Jakarta Provincial Government introduced the Kartu Jakarta Mahasiswa Unggul (KJMU) program to improve access to higher education through targeted social assistance. This study investigates the effectiveness of KJMU by examining the influence of educational social assistance on recipients’ behavior, its impact on human capital quality, and the mediating role of behavior in that relationship. Utilizing the Theory of Planned Behavior, data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire from 155 KJMU recipients and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings indicate that social assistance has a significant positive effect on recipients’ behavior. However, neither educational assistance nor behavior showed a direct statistically significant impact on the quality of human capital, as measured by academic achievement, employability, and study efficiency. Among these indicators, academic performance exhibited the strongest association, while employment waiting time showed the weakest. These results suggest that while KJMU effectively fosters academic motivation and positive attitudes, it alone may be insufficient to enhance overall human capital quality. Complementary interventions such as career mentoring, soft skills training, and post-graduation support are recommended to strengthen the long-term outcomes of educational social assistance programs.

Abstract

Good tourism management will improve the welfare of the community in the tourism destination area. The relationship between the competitiveness of tourist destinations will have an impact on sustainable tourism. The purpose of creating competitiveness is to gain and expand market share, both domestic and international, by participating in ensuring that the availability of resources to support tourism is used efficiently and sustainably. Along with the demands of sustainable tourism competitiveness, especially in ASEAN countries, it shows that competitiveness and sustainability have a mutual and supportive relationship. Therefore, a DMO (Destination Management Organization) institution is needed that has the function of leading and coordinating destination elements (attractions, amenities, accessibility) and a sustainable environment.

Abstract

Indonesia has a natural tourist attraction in the form of 54 national parks spread across regencies and cities, with an area of 16,304,707.13 hectares, featuring a diversity of ecosystems, high mountains, lowlands, savannahs to wetlands, and waters. However, the appeal of natural tourism does not necessarily contribute to the performance of national tourism, hence studies need to support of increase in tourist arrivals to national parks, one of which is to study tourism competitiveness in areas that have national parks in Indonesia. This research aims to develop a model of tourism competitiveness management in areas that have national parks in Indonesia. The theory underlying this research is the theory of tourism competitiveness through the approach of the competitiveness index of the Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Index, Indicators for Measuring Competitiveness in Tourism, and Competitiveness Monitor. The research design uses 20 competitiveness factors, where data collection techniques utilize data that has been available at both government and non-government institutions and the data collection method uses library research. The data were analysed by using the dynamic model method. The results of the study found that tourist arrivals significantly correlated simultaneously with the factor of tourism competitiveness of the districts and cities that have national parks, tourist arrival, revenue tourism, and conservation in zona utility of national park in Indonesia. It is proposed that local governments, national parks management and other interested parties make policy innovations to optimize the factors of tourism competitiveness in their regions to support or increase in the number of tourist visits in national parks
