Abstract

This study aims to describe the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of trigonometry learning media in improving students' understanding of concepts and skills in mathematics. The development method used is the Research and Development (R&D) method. The model used in this research is the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The results of this study indicate that the validity test results by validators with a total average of 0.75, which means valid because it is in the index 0.4 ? V ? 0.8, which means it has high validity criteria. Then, a paired sample T-test was conducted to determine whether there was a significant difference before and after using the media and the resulting sig. (2-tailed) is 0.000 because of the sig value. <0.05, then H0 is rejected, meaning there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results of students' ability to solve trigonometry material questions. So, it can be concluded that using LKPD assisted by Geogebra Software has proven effective in increasing students' interest in learning and involvement in learning mathematics and increasing students' understanding of trigonometric concepts, making the learning process more exciting and interactive. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe, examine and relate the findings of mathematical concepts in Udan Liris batik in an effort to preserve batik culture in Indonesia. This research uses ethnomathematics theory with a type of qualitative descriptive research method. The data sources in this research are interviews with relevant informants and literature studies from books, journals, articles related to batik. The data in this study were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The data validity checking technique in this research uses source triangulation. Data analysis in this study used an ethnographic approach. Based on the data that has been analyzed, the results of the study found the concept of geometry, algebra, and arithmetic contained in the Batik Udan Liris motif. In the concept of geometry, researchers grouped into three sub-concepts, namely geometric transformations, there are concepts of reflection and translation, plane geometry such as squares, rectangles, rhombuses, triangles, circles, and relationships between lines. While the algebraic sub-concept is used to calculate the results of the arithmetic sequence. And in the arithmetic sub-concept, there is the concept of number patterns in the arithmetic sequence.

Abstract

Interest in learning as a driving factor has an important role in improving students' mathematical literacy skills. One effort to attract students' attention is to make learning innovations such as incorporating ethnomathematics in learning. This study aims to describe students' mathematical literacy ability in solving ethnomathematical problems on spldv material in terms of student learning interests. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The subjects of this study were 3 out of 29 grade VIIIB students who had been selected for high, medium and low learning interest categories. Data collection was carried out by questionnaires, tests and interviews. The main instrument in this study is an ethnomathematics-based mathematical literacy test. Data analysis techniques use interactive analysis. The results showed that the cause of students' low mathematical literacy ability was due to low interest in learning. Students with a high interest in learning are able to meet all indicators of mathematical literacy. Students with an interest in learning are having difficulty at number 1, but at question number 2 are able to meet all indicators of mathematical literacy. While students with low interest in learning for questions number 1 only meet indicators 1), 2), 3), 6) and at number 2 only meet indicators 1), 2), and 3) only. That is, students with high and moderate interest in learning have mathematical literacy skills that work well, while students with low interest in learning need teacher help to improve their mathematical literacy skills.
