Abstract

This study aims to analyze the CAMEL ratio (Capital, Asset, Management, Earning, and Liquidity) in predicting bankruptcy in Sharia Commercial Banks using the Altman Z-Score approach. The CAMEL components analyzed include the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non-Performing Financing (NPF), Return on Assets (ROA), Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR), and Operating Costs to Operating Income (BOPO). The study uses quantitative descriptive methods with panel data regression and the Granger causality test, based on quarterly financial reports from 2010 to 2021 obtained from OJK and Bank Indonesia publications. The findings reveal that under the Fixed Effect Model (FEM), ROA and CAR significantly influence the Altman Z-Score, while FDR, NPF, and BOPO show no significant impact. The Granger causality results indicate that CAR, FDR, BOPO, and ROA maintain healthy performance ratios, implying that the overall Sharia banking system remains financially sound, although certain components reflect potential early warnings of financial distress. These results highlight the importance of consistent monitoring through the CAMEL framework and Altman Z-Score to anticipate systemic banking risks.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the attitudes and decisions of lower-class communities in adopting Islamic bank mobile banking services, with a specific focus on the BSI Mobile application. The research applies the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) developed by Davis (1989), emphasizing two key constructs—perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness—as determinants of users’ attitudes and decisions. The study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method involving 100 lower-class customers of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) Sibuhuan. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) technique through SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results indicate that perceived usefulness significantly affects both attitude and decision to use, while perceived ease of use influences attitude indirectly. The R² value for attitude (0.743) and decision (0.654) shows that the model has strong explanatory power. These findings reveal that lower-income customers are more motivated by perceived benefits, such as convenience, time efficiency, and transaction security, rather than interface simplicity. From a practical perspective, the study suggests that Islamic banks should strengthen digital literacy, user assistance, and customer trust to enhance mobile banking adoption among lower-class communities.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on inflation in Indonesia. The pandemic has had a wide and profound effect on various aspects of life, including the economy. Disruptions in supply chains, changes in consumer demand patterns, and government policies are the main factors affecting inflation during the pandemic. Factory closures and social restrictions have led to shortages of goods and raw materials, thus driving up prices. Meanwhile, the increase in demand for staples and medical products has not been offset by an increase in supply, causing a spike in prices. The government's fiscal and monetary stimulus policies have also increased the money supply, potentially driving further inflation. Fluctuations in energy prices during the pandemic have also contributed to the dynamics of inflation in Indonesia. The bibliometric method is used to identify research trends, inflation and covid-19 in Indonesia as well as researcher collaboration on this topic.

Abstract

In the digital era, marketing strategies have shifted from conventional media to more dynamic and interactive social media. One of the strategies that is growing rapidly is the use of endorsements by content creators to influence consumer purchase decisions. This study aims to find out the extent of the influence of content creator endorsements on purchase decisions on MSME products. This study used a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression method and involved 75 respondents, which were determined based on the Malhotra formula (at least five times the number of indicators). The results showed that endorsements had a positive and significant influence on purchase decisions, with a significance value of 0.000 and a regression coefficient of 0.705. These findings indicate that collaboration with content creators can be an effective and efficient promotional strategy for MSMEs in reaching a wider market through social media.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and compare the effectiveness of gold and sukuk as hedging instruments. Using historical data for the period 2014-2023, the study was conducted using a quantitative methodology through granger causality test analysis, One way ANOVA, Paired sample t-test. The results of the study show that gold has a higher effectiveness as a hedging instrument, as evidenced by a correlation of 0.72 (compared to sukuk 0.31), beta 1.25 (compared to sukuk 0.45), and Sharpe Ratio 1.85 (compared to sukuk 1.12). In periods of high inflation such as 2014 (8.36%) and 2022 (5.95%), gold showed a faster and more proportional response than sukuk. This study concludes that gold is a more effective hedging instrument than sukuk in the context of the Islamic financial market.
