Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan LKS matematika ideal pada materi barisan dan deret aritmetika yang didasarkan dari teori APOS yang praktis dan efektif untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan. Model pengembangan yang digunakan mengacu pada model ADDIE. Subyek penelitian ini yaitu pengembangan LKS berbasis teori APOS pada materi barisan dan deret aritmetika. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur kevalidan adalah lembar validasi LKS, untuk mengukur kepraktisan LKS adalah angket respon siswa, untuk mengukur keefektifan LKS adalah lembar penilaian skor siswa dalam menyelesaikan LKS, dan tes hasil belajar siswa untuk mengetahui adanya peningkatan prestasi siswa pada materi barisan dan deret aritmetika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat validitas LKS berada pada kategori valid, tingkat kepraktisan LKS berada pada kategori tingkat kepraktisan tinggi, dan tingkat keefektifan LKS berada pada kategori efektif, dan adanya peningkatan prestasi belajar sebesar 64,24 % dengan rata-rata nilai siswa sebesar 83,6. Berdasarkan uraian tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKS yang dikembangkan sudah dikatakan layak untuk digunakan dalam meningkatkan prestasi siswa pada materi barisan dan deret aritmetika.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kevalidan dan keefektifan modul ajar berbasis project based leaning (PjBL) berorientasi Teaching At The Right Level (TaRL) dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa yang dikembangkan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan 4-D (Define, Design, Develop, Desiminate), yang dilakukan pada 30 siswa kelas X jurusan DKV SMKN 1 Ginungsari. Objek penelitian ini adalah modul ajar berbasis project based learning (PjBL) berorientasi teaching at the right level (TARL). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, angket dan tes. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu angket validasi ahli media, validasi ahli materi, angket respon guru dan siswa, angket motivasi belajar, dan tes. Dari hasil validasi ahli media dan hasil validasi ahli materi dengan kriteria sangat layak. Hasil angket menunjukkan respon guru dan siswa kriteria sangat Layak. Berdasarkan penyebaran angket motivasi belajar kepada siswa dengan kriteria tinggi dan hasil tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa yang diperoleh skor dengan rata-rata 86.27 dengan nilai besar gain yaitu 0,751152 yang menunjukkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis peserta didik meningkat. dengan demikian hasil rata rata siswa menunjukkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa meningkat. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul ajar berbasis Project Based Learning (PjBL) berorientasi Teaching At The Rigt Level (TaRL) dalam nnmeningkatkan motivasi belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa pada materi permulaan dan deret aritmatika valid (sangat layak) digunakan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe how the application of contextual teaching and learning approach in improving students' mathematical connection ability at SMAN 1 Lingsar. This type of research is a classroom action research consisting of two cycles, each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects in this study were students of class X IPA 1 SMAN 1 Lingsar which amounted to 37 people consisting of 20 women and 17 men. Data collection was done by using evaluation test (post-test) which includes indicators of students' mathematical connection ability, namely connections between mathematics topics and connections between mathematics in everyday life. The test results of students' mathematical connection ability in cycle I with a percentage of classical completeness of 51.72% and increased in cycle II by 65.62% which was measured using two indicators, so it can be said that there was an increase in students' mathematical connection ability from cycle I to cycle II. Although it did not meet the criteria for classical completeness of 70%, this research was stopped in cycle II due to time constraints and school conditions that had begun to carry out even semester final exams.Keywords: Contextual Teaching and Learning approach and mathematical connection ability

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe the creativity in utilizing Visual basic for applications (VBA) in PowerPoint as a learning media among students in the Mathematics Education program. The research method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The study was conducted in the Mathematics Workshop Room at the Mathematics Education program, Mandalika University of Education. The subjects of this study were 6 randomly selected students. The instruments used in the research consisted of 6 questions covering the experience of using VBA in PowerPoint for learning, the benefits of VBA, and the students' interest in VBA. Data collection techniques included observational interviews and observation of the VBA products created, which were then compared with those made by the researcher. The data analysis techniques employed were coding and thematic analysis, derived from interview results and the comparison of student products with the researcher's product. The results indicated that three participants, S1, S2, and S3, were unable to create VBA in PowerPoint correctly, mainly due to errors in writing the code in the VBA worksheet, resulting in non-functional outcomes. Two participants, S4 and S5, successfully executed VBA correctly. One participant, S6, not only successfully executed VBA but also managed to develop it further. Based on these findings, subjects S1, S2, and S3 were categorized as having low creativity due to their inability to execute VBA in PowerPoint. Subjects S4 and S5 were categorized as having moderate creativity, as they could execute VBA in PowerPoint. Subject S6 was categorized as having high creativity, as they were able to execute and further develop VBA in PowerPoint. Keywords: Creativity, VBA PowerPoint, product   Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kreativitas terhadap media pembelajaran visual basic for application (VBA) PowerPoint pada mahasiswa program studi pendidikan matematika. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif  dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Lokasi penelitian ini  Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika, Universitas Pendidikan Mandalika. Subjek yang digunakan pada penelitian ini sebanyak 6 orang mahasiswa yang diambil secara acak. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 6 soal yang berisi, pengalaman penggunaan VBA PowerPoint dalam pembelajaran, manfaat VBA, serta daya tarik mahasiswa terhadap VBA. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu dengan melakukan wawancara observatif dan observasi hasil VBA yang dibuat dan dibandingkan dengan milik peneliti. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan coding dan thematic analysis dimana ini diporeleh berdasarkan hasil wawancara dan analisis produk mahasiswa dengan peneliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada 3 peserta, S1,S2 dan S3 yang tidak mampu membuat VBA power point  dengan baik dan benar. Dimana kesalahan yang dilakukan yaitu kesalahan dalam menulis kode pada lembar kerja VBA, sehingga tidak dapat dijalankan. Untuk 2 peserta, S4 dan S5 dapat menjalankan VBA dengan baik dan benar. S6 dapat menjalankan VBA dengan baik dan benar, bahkan mampu mengembangkannya. Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat dikategorikan bahwa Subjek S1,S2 dan S3 dikategorikan kreativitas rendah, karena tidak mampu menjelankan VBA PowerPoint. Untuk S4 dan S5 dikategorikan kreativitas sedang , karena mampu menjalankan VBA PowerPoint. Dan S6 dikategorikan kreativitas tinggi, karena mampu menjalankan VBA PowerPoint serta mengembangkannya.

Abstract

This study is motivated by students' low critical thinking skills, particularly in three-dimensional geometry. Moreover, the limited availability of effective interactive learning media impedes the development of these skills. Three-dimensional geometry requires a more engaging and interactive approach to enhance understanding. This study aims to develop GeoGebra-based learning media within the Problem-Based Learning model to enhance students' critical thinking skills in mathematics. The research method employed is Research and Development using the ADDIE design model. The study subjects consist of eighth-grade students. The research instruments include validation sheets, practicality questionnaires, and tests. The validation results indicate that the GeoGebra validation score is reaching 95.16% (highly valid). The practicality test showed an average score of 96.09% (highly practical). The obtained N-Gain score of 0.7655 (high category) indicates an improvement in students' critical thinking abilities. The findings of this study conclude that the use of GeoGebra in PBL-based learning is effective in enhancing students' mathematical critical thinking skills and can serve as an innovative alternative for teaching three-dimensional geometry. The findings of this study have positive implications for enhancing students' critical thinking skills through the integration of interactive learning tools such as GeoGebra, which can improve engagement and understanding in mathematics.

Abstract

The low levels of students’ interest and learning outcomes in solid geometry indicate the need for instructional models and media that can increase student engagement and facilitate the visualization of geometric concepts. This study aimed to analyze the effect of the GeoGebra-assisted Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) cooperative learning model on fifth-grade elementary students’ learning interest and achievement. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest control group design was employed. The sample consisted of 33 students, including 18 students in the experimental group at SD Negeri 1 Marong and 15 students in the control group at SD Negeri 2 Marong. The experimental group received GeoGebra-assisted STAD instruction, whereas the control group received STAD instruction without GeoGebra. Data were collected through an achievement test, a learning-interest questionnaire, and documentation. The data were analyzed using the Shapiro–Wilk test, Levene’s test, an independent-samples t-test, and normalized gain analysis. The results showed that the experimental group’s mean achievement score increased from 30.27 to 60.83, whereas the control group’s score increased from 24.33 to 44.00. The hypothesis test yielded (t=2.948) with a significance value of 0.006, indicating a significant difference in learning outcomes between the two groups. The experimental group obtained a mean N-Gain of 44.38%, categorized as moderate, whereas the control group obtained 25.94%, categorized as low. The learning-interest score increased by 13.00 points in the experimental group and by 8.87 points in the control group. Therefore, GeoGebra-assisted STAD positively affected students’ learning outcomes and showed a greater descriptive increase in learning interest than STAD without GeoGebra
