Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tren penelitian terkait manajemen pembelajaran bahasa dalam konteks pendidikan yang terus berkembang di Indonesia. Pendekatan sistematik literature review digunakan untuk menganalisis 100 artikel jurnal nasional yang terindeks Google Scholar dan CrossRef, dengan menggunakan software Publish or Perish (PoP) dan VOSviewer untuk visualisasi data. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penelitian tentang manajemen pembelajaran bahasa cenderung meningkat dalam rentang publikasi tahun 2018 hingga 2023, dengan penelitian terkait bahasa Arab dan Inggris sering dilakukan dalam 3 tahun terakhir. Cluster analisis menemukan bahwa topik-topik bahasa Arab dan bahasa Inggris mendominasi, sementara penelitian bahasa Arab juga menunjukkan tren peningkatan. Keterbatasan studi ini termasuk fokus pada jurnal nasional Indonesia dan ketersediaan data yang terbatas. Rekomendasi untuk penelitian masa depan adalah memperluas cakupan data dengan melibatkan sumber internasional, mengeksplorasi manajemen pembelajaran bahasa pada bahasa lainnya, serta meneliti aspek-aspek seperti metode pembelajaran dan media yang digunakan. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam pemahaman dan pengembangan praktik terbaik dalam manajemen pembelajaran bahasa untuk meningkatkan efektivitas proses belajar mengajar di era pendidikan yang dinamis

Abstract

Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberi pendampingan pada pola pembelajaran Muallaf dan Muallafah pada organisasi MMS (Majlis Muallaf Sulut) Kota Manado. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini berlokasi di Teras Aula Masjid Ahmad Yani, tanggal 2 Januari – Juni 2022. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui beberapa tahap seperti persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Peserta dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini sebanyak 15 orang. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa pola pembelajaran mualaf dan muallafah pada organisasi MMS (Majelis Muallaf Sulut) Kota Manado yaitu bersifat terbuka dan transformatif, dimana tim pengabdian melibatkan metode yang disesuaikan dengan kondisi dan kebutuhan para mualaf dan muallafah seperti metode ceramah, metode tanya jawab, metode latihan, metode diskusi, metode problem solving dan metode demonstrasi. Merupakan salah satu feedback, wawancara dengan anggota organisasi memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap perubahan sikap, pengetahuan dan keterampilan mereka dalam belajar Ajaran Islam. Kegiatan Pk Mini terlaksana secara tertib dan responsif dari semua peserta

Abstract

This research aims to determine the use of animated videos in improving students. This research used a pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design. This research was carried out at SMP Negeri 8 Satu Atap Tondano. The research sample was class VIII, of 15 students, the research instrument given was a pretest and posttest, with 20 questions. The research results shows that the use of animated videos can improve students listening skills, this statement is proven by the students posttest average score (81.66) with a standard deviation of 11.07 which is greater than the pretest average score (41.33) with a standard deviation of 8.11. Apart from that, the results of the hypothesis test shows that the t-test value (3.713) is greater than the t-table (2.144). Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of animated videos can improve the students English listening skills in SMP Negeri 8 Satu Atap Tondano.

Abstract

The purpose of research is the analyze of romance in Stephenie Meyer's Twilight. This research categorized as qualitative research .The data collected in the form of words as well as quotation rather than numbers. Objective approach was applied in analyzing the data. The result of the research shows that the love between Bella and Edward reflected of desire to unite the difference between love and vampire, immortal and mortality .The image of vampire as a soul and other one as an evil vampire.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether or not using the Spelling Bee Game can enrich pupils' vocabulary. This research was delimited on the teaching vocabulary particularly noun, utilising the Spelling Bee Game in the first grade of SMP Negeri 4 Tondano. The methodology used for this examine was quantitative. Furthermore, This study used a pre-experimental design with a single group doing both pre- and post-testing and the first grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Tondano which consisted 20 students were the subject of this study. In this study, there were 20 numbers for each test given to students. The result of our examine revealed that the average score in the post-test was more elevated (86,25) than average score of pre-test (43,5). The usage of the Spelling Bee Game can enrich pupils' vocabulary, according to the result.

Abstract

This study explores the representation of childhood in Roald Dahl's "The Big Friendly Giant" through the lens of Erik Erikson's psychosocial development theory, with a particular focus on the character of Sophie, an orphan who faces significant challenges. The research aims to analyze how Sophie's journey reflects key developmental stages, including trust vs. mistrust, autonomy vs. shame and doubt, initiative vs. guilt, and industry vs. inferiority. Through her evolving relationship with the BFG and her proactive role in confronting the giants, Sophie transitions from a fearful, passive child to a confident, assertive individual. This transformation illustrates a positive representation of childhood, emphasizing the importance of nurturing environments and supportive relationships in child development. The findings highlight the critical role of literature in shaping societal perceptions of childhood and suggest that narratives like Dahl's can foster resilience and self-assurance in children. This study also underscores how Sophie's resilience embodies hope, courage, and adaptability, which are vital for healthy psychosocial development.

Abstract

This study explores students' perceptions of Instagram as a medium for English language learning, focusing on its role in enhancing engagement, creativity, and language skills. Conducted with English Education students from Universitas Negeri Manado, the research utilizes a quantitative approach and a closed-ended questionnaire, collecting data from 45 participants who actively use Instagram. The findings indicate that students perceive Instagram positively, noting its visually engaging and interactive platform as conducive to learning. Key benefits highlighted include increased engagement, enjoyment, and motivation, with Instagram’s multimedia and social features creating a dynamic environment where students feel more connected to peers and content. Additionally, Instagram is seen as a valuable tool for vocabulary acquisition and exposure to authentic English language use, particularly through real-world examples provided by native speakers and educational accounts. However, some limitations were identified, such as distractions inherent to the platform and a perceived lack of support for developing learning independence. Overall, the study suggests that Instagram holds significant potential as a supplementary educational tool, which, when thoughtfully integrated, can complement traditional methods and foster a more engaging and socially connected learning experience.

Abstract

The title of this research is " An Analysis of Figurative Language In Adele Songs’ Easy On Me And When We Were Young ". This research aims to describe the types and meaning of figurative language in lyrics of Adele’s Songs. The method used is descriptive qualitative, analysis with a pragmatics approach. The relevant theories that researchers use are figurative language (Rambi & Kumayas 2021:378), theory of types of figurative language in Keraf (2004:136-145). Based on the research results, The figurative language found in “Easy on me” reveals her self-reflection mode as well as vulnerability while navigating through acceptances as well as changes. On the same note “When We Were Young” employs descriptive language full of images and metaphors that express melancholic feelings about time passing.

Abstract

This study explored the social acceptance and rejection experienced by the main character in the Stargirl novel. This study aimed to reveal the representation of social acceptance categories that occured towards the main character and also to reveal the form of social rejection experienced by the main character in the novel “Stargirl”. A qualitative descriptive research method was used, incorporating supporting quotes from the novel and other sources. Through a psychological approach, the researcher examined the categories of social acceptance from Hurlock and form of social rejection by Baumeister and Leary. The researcher found the results of the study that in the Stargirl novel, there was evidence of social acceptance in the form of star, accepted, and fringer experienced by the main character. In addition, the researcher found that not only social acceptance, social rejection of the main character Stargirl was found in the form of active, passive, other or verbal, and social or peer rejection.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out whether the constructivist theory is effective to enrich students’ mastery of literary work or not. This research is classified as quantitative research which is true experimental design, the data collected in the form of numbers and the data statistically analyzed. In this research, the writer used a sample of students in the parallel class of English Education students in the 3th semester who had learned the subject of Introduction to Literature. One class randomly chosen from 4 clasess as the experimental class and control class and the t-test observe used in analyzing the data. The research finding shows that students were given a pre-test to what extent they understood about English Literature, from the results obtained, it was known that there were differences in mastery of the field of literature in each individual. Then, the students are given treatment using the constructivist theory referring to the students' learning experiences about the work of English Literature, given exposure and then post-test results which can show the experimental group gets the majority of scores higher than the control group. This means that there are significant differences between students' interest in learning about English Literature has increased in mastery of the topic and the overall phenomena that accompany it. In other words, students who are taught using Constructivist theory master the topic or material better, even they can enjoy the learning process more than Students who are not taught using Constructivist theory
