Presentation of basic Biology courses integrated between theory and practice, in this case the skills of process and learning outcomes determined in their entirety which can be done in classrooms and labs assisted by practical guide. The research objectives (1) to produce a valid practical guide;(2) differences process skills;(3) improved learning outcomes and(4) respon. This research refers to the 4-D model of Thiagarajan, Semmel Semmel (1974).consists of 4 stages: Define, Design, Develope, and Disseminate. The research subjects used Basic students in the 2019-2020 academic year. At Wiraraja University. Instrument: (1) validation sheets, (2) observation sheets, (3) test sheets. and (4) respons. Data analysis techniques (1) validation data compiled from the score sheet given to expert validators and then averaged on each aspect and used as a percentage form; (2) process skill data using Wilcoxon test; (3) learning outcomes analyzed by N-gain score; and (4) responses analyzed from the average of each indicator and a percentage. Results (1) practical guide valid at 94% (good category); (2) there differences in process skills a significance value of 0,000; (3) there was an increase in learning outcomes show N-gain 0.74 (high criteria); and (4) respons 83% (good criteria)

In Science, students tend to use the ability, which is dominantly controlled by their left-hemisphere brain. This study explores how science process skills (SPS) affect cognitive learning achievement (CLA) of dominantly right-brained and left-brained students. By applying project-based learning on the topic that integrates STEAM elements, this research examines the differences of the effects among those groups. The respondents were 32 8th-grade students from two randomly selected intact classes. This study employed a test to measure exogenous (SPS) and endogenous (CLA) latent variables. The partial least square - structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) and multi-group PLS-SEM were employed to analyze the results. The evaluation of the outer model shows that both latent variables were valid and reliable. The factor loading value for all indicators of each latent variable was over 0.7. The cross-loading value indicates a higher correlation between the latent variable and its indicators compared to the other variables' indicators. The composite reliability and Cronbach's alpha values were over 0.7. The significance test shows that all indicators of each latent variable were valid. The evaluation of the inner model through the significance test (α=5%) suggests that the science process skill influenced CLA with a coefficient of 0.907. Meanwhile, the 0.822 R-square value demonstrates the variability of the SPS can explain the variability of CLA of 82.2%. The multi-group-SEM test reveals a difference in the effect of SPS toward CLA among dominantly right-brained and left-brained students. While the path coefficient for the former was 0.94, the latter was 0.881.

The problems experienced by students of class IX SMPN 5 Sumenep are (1) the IPA practical instructions do not contain the components clearly and completely, (2) the practical instructions used in class IX have not been integrated with the environment of coastal communities. This makes the learning process less meaningful for students. The purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility and response of students to the practical guidelines for science-based coastal community environment. This research is a research and development (Research and Development) using the 4-D model. The data collection instrument used consisted of product eligibility instruments and student response instruments. Initial testing (Initial Testing) was carried out on 5 students and quantitative testing (Quantitative Testing) was carried out on 31 Students. The feasibility results of the IPA-based environmental practicum guide from the validation of material aspects, and the design obtained an average of 100% with a very decent category. The results of students' responses to the IPA-based practicum guidelines for coastal communities obtained a percentage of 95% with a very good category so that the IPA-based practicum guides for coastal communities are very appropriate to be used as teaching materials for carrying out practical activities.

This research aims to reconstruct the original science of the Kepanjin community in Sumenep City regarding the process of making beddha'temmo into scientific science, as well as explaining science material related to the reconstruction of original science in the process of making beddha'temmo. This research uses qualitative research with an ethnoscience approach. Data was collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study. The research data obtained was then analyzed in several stages: reducing the data, presenting the data, and drawing conclusions/verification. Based on the results of scientific studies, the integration of beddha' temmo as one of Sumenep's local wisdom is related to junior high school science learning materials so that it can be used as a learning resource for students.

Kondisi terkini sekolah Mts Al-Mujahidin berlokasi di Jalan Raya Rubaru Nomor 36 Peyangan sebagai mitra memiliki potensi telah melaksanakan pembelajaran IPA secara kontekstual dan peluang mitra berada di lingkungan pondok pesantren yang bersinergi dengan lingkungan sekolah sehingga peluang pendidikan wirausaha besar karena ada dukungan dari masyarakat setempat. Hasil wawancara pada bulan maret tahun 2020 didapatkan fakta bahwa pembelajaran IPA yang ada di pondok diintegrasikan dalam kegiatan kewirausahaan. Akan tetapi, mitra/sekolah ini memiliki permasalahan yang berkaitan dengan layanan pendidikan yaitu kurangnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam upaya pengelolaan limbah yang ramah lingkungan, khususnya limbah minyak goreng. Pelatihan ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kewirausahaan. Manfaat kegiatan ini adalah dapat membentuk dan mengembangkan kelompok siswa agar memiliki keterampilan khusus untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan berwirausaha. Metode pelaksanaan untuk menyelesaikan persoalan mitra adalah metode pendidikan masyarakat melalui pelatihan limbah minyak goreng menjadi sabun padat dengan ekstrak lidah buaya. Pemberian edukasi berupa penyuluhan dapat mengubah paradigma masyarakat sehingga limbah minyak goreng dapat diolah menjadi alternatif produk yang dapat diaplikasikan dalam masyarakat dan mempunyai nilai guna dan nilai ekonomi yang tinggi. Produk sabun padat ekstrak lidah buaya sekarang ini sudah memiliki jangkauan pemasaran yang cukup luas. Pelatihan dilakukan menggunakan metode demonstrasi dan eksperimen. Metode ini dilakukan dengan memberikan praktek langsung didampingi oleh tutor. (1) respon positif dari mitra adalah sebagai peserta pelatihan sebesar 92.9% dan (2) adanya peningkatan keterampilan/skill entrepreneurship melalui kegiatan pengolahan limbah minyak goreng yang ramah lingkungan.

Pembelajaran berorientasi masalah menjadi salah satu pendekatan pembelajaran yang melatih kemampuan problem solving mahasiswa. Pemberian suatu permasalahan serta proses mencari jawaban dalam pembelajaran dapat membantu mahasiswa untuk dapat lebih mudah mengingat materi yang dipelajari. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa (LKM) berbasis PBL bertemakan biologi dasar yang valid dan efektif. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester satu yang memprogram mata kuliah Biologi dasar. Model penelitian yang digunakan merujuk model penelitian pengembangan yang dikembangkan Borg Gall (1983). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKM yang dikembangkan valid dengan nilai persentase 90% (kategori sangat baik). Pengembangan LKM dikatakan efektif dilihat dari adanya peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah sebesar 0,47 (kategori sedang) berdasarkan N-gain. LKM ini memiliki karakteristik bahan ajar dirancang situasi bermasalah yang tepat bagi mahasiswa IPA di Universitas Wiraraja.

The low ability of students' critical thinking is due to the need for more use of media to support the development of students' thinking skills. This study aims to produce SSI e-booklet teaching media and test the effectiveness of PBL in increasing students' critical thinking. This research belongs to the development research type developed using the ADDIE model, with analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The subjects involved in this study were 29 junior high school students. Data collection in the study was carried out using observation, interview, and test methods. The instrument used is in the form of a test in the form of free essay questions. Data analysis used the free sample t-test and the gain score. The research analysis results showed that the validity level of the SSI e-booklet on mangrove photosynthesis was in a very good category. The effectiveness of PBL learning using the SSI e-booklet is very effective. There are differences in students' critical thinking between the control and experimental classes. Based on these results, applying the SSI e-booklet media through PBL has proven effective in improving students' critical thinking skills.

Critical thinking is an active process because it involves question and answer activities. This skill is important for students to have as one of the 21st Century skills that can support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's). The objectives of this world program need to be instilled from an early age so that students have an attitude of concern for environmental sustainability. The importance of understanding the SDGs can be taught in schools. The problem raised focuses on the unavailability of handouts that integrate local potential in science material and explore student activities in critical thinking as one of the skills of the 21st century. The role of this teaching material can be to train critical thinking skills in learning to achieve the SDGs goal of protecting terrestrial ecosystems. The aim of the research is to produce a handout on the local potential of the SDGs and determine whether there is an increase in students' critical thinking after using the handout. The method used by Research and Development (RD) refers to 4D. Critical thinking data measured from description tests were obtained before and after the treatment designed to include students' abilities in providing explanations, building skills, designing strategies and tactics, explaining further and concluding. The results of the research show an increase in critical thinking skills of 0.60 as indicated by the N-gain and positive student responses after using the development product. These results are in line with the research objective of integrating SDGS-oriented local potential into teaching materials. The involvement of a teacher in designing teaching materials containing local SDGs-oriented potential is very necessary as one of the efforts that can be carried out in the education sector. Conclusion the science learning process on plant structure material and its use in technology was effective after using the SDGs-based local potential handout.

Pembelajaran berorientasi masalah (PBM) menjadi salah satu pendekatan pembelajaran yang membangun komunikasi dan kolaborasi mahasiswa. Tujuan penelitian adalah (1) Apakah lembar kerja mahasiswa berorientasi pemecahan masalah valid? (2) Bagaimana hasil keterbacaan lembar kerja mahasiswa berorientasi pemecahan masalah? Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa Biologi Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan Research and Development. Model penelitian yang digunakan adalah model penelitian pengembangan yang dikembangkan (Borg & Gall, 1983) Data validitas LKM diperoleh dari hasil analisis Content Validity Ratio (CVR). Data tingkat keterbacaan diukur menggunakan Teknik Uji Rumpang (TUR). Hasil penelitian bahwa validitas LKM biologi dasar berorientasi pemecahan masalah dinyatakan valid dengan interpretasi tinggi nilai CVR ≥ 1 (layak) baik ditinjau dari aspek isi, penyajian maupun penilaian pemecahan masalah. Rata-rata hasil validator sebesar 92% (kategori sangat baik), hasil produk pengembangan menunjukkan bahwa Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa (LKM) Biologi dasar berorientasi pemecahan masalah telah dilakukan secara benar dan sesuai dengan capaian pembelajaran mata kuliah pada mahasiswa IPA di Universitas Wiraraja. Hasil uji keterbacaan LKM sebesar 100%; kategori mudah dipahami oleh mahasiswa.

Worksheet is one of the learning tools that plays an important role in students' thinking processes. The thinking process in achieving 21st century skills is that students can have higher order thinking skills (HOTS). The objectives of this research are: (1) How do teachers and students respond to the development of E-LKS which includes students' HOTS in science learning?, and (2) How to increase students' HOTS in using E-LKS in science learning? learning?. The research subjects were students of class VIII SMPN 4 Sumenep. This study uses the Research and Development approach and the four-dimensional research and development model by Thiagarajan. Our E-LKS validity data is obtained from Content Validity Index (CVI) analysis. Teacher and student response data were obtained by using response questionnaire analysis. Data on increasing HOTS in the use of E-LKS used pretest and posttest techniques with n-gain analysis. The results showed that the validity of the E-LKS on light materials and optical instruments class VIII was declared valid with a CVI score of 1.00 (very high validity) in terms of material and language aspects as well as media aspects. The results of teacher and student responses are in the positive category. The teacher's response to the E-LKS contains HOTS which is 96.97%, while the student response to the E-LKS contains HOTS which is 92.72% with the "achieved" category. In increasing HOTS students who use the E-LKS are included in the effective category on the results of the analysis with an n-gain score of 0.72. This shows that the E-LKS is easy to understand and effectively used by students and teachers during distance learning.
